TS a wonderful idea in theory but she hasn't bothered her arse actually going to sleep since being put down at 8pm and is too busy beating lumps out of the wall and her cot with her 'beloved' baby doll

she's got 5 more minutes then I'm going up and then there will be a whole world of trouble I'm on late shift for the next 4 nights so she has to get used to him settling her, I can't exactly nip home from work

TwilightSurfer · 30/04/2008 22:20

Cyteen maybe MN doesn't like your computer. LOL My thought is if you can upload to Photobucket you should be able to upload to MN.

Dizzy my other suggestion would be to just ignore her. That's acutally what I do. DD "thinks" if she bothers me enough I'll give her attention. Lately I'm getting better and better at ignoring her. I can now go to bed and she'll try to get my goat but then she'll just end up playing in her bedroom for a bit and going to sleep on her own. There's something about ME telling her to go to bed and HER figuring out she needs to lay down. This whole concept was much harder for DH to grasp but he's learning.

she normally gets ignored TS and dd1 sleeps through the tantrums but because she's been ill I'm inclined to check on her

has all gone quiet so maybe............. fingers crossed as dh's kit has been washed to get dried for tomorrow and I can maybe now go to bed too!

Oh, makes sense. Awesome that DD1 can sleep through. I only hope I have the same luck in three months.

I'm already way ahead of you on the new thread thingie....thought about that last night and wondered if we'd make through today. What should the title be??

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 30/04/2008 22:35

dd1 sleeps through tantrums and dd2 sleeps through dd1's snoring! honestly she is like a bog eel and will insist in sleeping in crazy shapes which don't help lol

your's will no doubt be exactly the same

not that I'm implying tantrums, just that the get used to each other very quickly, dd2 always looks for dd1 when going to sleep and doesn't like it if she's not there, its very sweet

TwilightSurfer · 30/04/2008 22:37

DD1 is a tantrum QUEEN so DD2 will have A LOT to get use to but it's my thought she'll/they'll be the better because of it.

I agree completley, I was such a wreck on school trips and moving to halls just about gave me a nervous breakdown so I want my girls to have the confidence I never had

not that I'm saying that was specifically because I didn't share a room but certain silly hang ups were caused by my parents and their strange views on what was appropriate and what wasn't

we have two decent sized bedrooms and a box room in ours sazz. the girls have the bigger of the two rooms (ours originally had the ensuite but I took a disliking to it when 7months pg with dd2 and knocked it out using the space for fitted wardrobes instead)

the box room is used as a spare room/dumping ground and thats initially where the baby will go when out of our room, am considering getting bunk beds and putting the cot through in with dds but not sure

I could trust dd1 no problem but dd2 would either launch herself off top bunk or try to get baby out of cot - she is obsessed with babies and we're not overly impressed with the care/love/kindness she shows her dolls

I just feel it would be a shame for one of them to miss out on the sharing - then again they'll probably all end up killing/hating each other

dd2 still in her cot and will be for a while yet

she'll be 2 on the 23rd May and baby not here till july and if can will use moses basket for a while - remember I have bigguns though and they don't fit for long

at this point we'll put dd1 into a single bed, dd2 into dd1's toddler bed and baby in cot in box room - bunk beds will be a much later addition, was just thinking ahead

TS all great but please don't use the count down one as it'll freak me out, I don't have time to plan/organise/come out of denial until after May

dizzydixies · 30/04/2008 22:55

right def off to bed, dh has just turned all the lights out

night all
