Help ladies.

DS2 fed on and off from 12.30 until 4.15 and has been asleep (apart from MW doing checks) ever since.

Which means he hasn't fed for 11 hours. MW said to leave him 12, but am a bit worried. Should I wake him??

BR

7monthsplus · 09/04/2008 15:26

Hi, i have been missed off i was due the 8th April.. still waiting.. thnaks

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 15:29

Argh, she's woken up early, really grumpy, and very sad that Daddy is not here. She wanted to stay at nursery this morning, too - obviously having an anti-Mummy day! Uncle Charlie and Auntie Lola it is.

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 15:29

Sorry missed that BR, I would wake him. Easy birth and no drugs so no reason for him to be drowsy. At least offer him boob whilst asleep and see if it stirs him.

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 15:32

Sorry - am distracted, meant prob no need to worry as there's no reason for him not to wake up when hungry, but I would stick him on a boob now and at least see if it stirs up an interest.

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 09/04/2008 15:36

Congrats Honeybee!!

have put you back on 7monthsplus, but have only put your due date? Do you want anything else put on, have you other children, do you know if boy or girl?

Sal22 · 09/04/2008 16:32

Congratulations Sheds, Honeybee and Bunnyrabbit!

Oh Peachy, I'm so glad to hear your little one ok now - it is scary not knowing, and your hospital sounds great in that they performed the tests etc. I hope that Sebastian will be fine and good luck to you and your DH/DP (sorry, can't remember).

Here we're going well - my DH is just brilliant with Roelof and I wouldn't have coped without him - he cleans nappies, makes us breakfast, lunch and dinner, the lot! Wish I could just keep him here, but he's due back at work on Monday. Luckily my mom arrives on Friday morning - I've been feeling a bit teary lately for no reason whatsover - hoping it's just a blip, I'm sure it is.

Roelof is still a little jaundiced, so we're planning to take him out in the bright light tomorrow if not too cold. Failing that we're leaving him in just his nappy in front of the window for an hour or so every day, hopefully he'll be fine soon. At least it isn't too bad - the pedeatrician (spelling, but too lazy to look it up...) discharged him while knowing, and the midwife noted but didn't look overly concerned yesterday, so I guess it's fine.

My milk has come in completely now and my breast size is just plain scary! Think I could happily feed triplets without any problems now. I've got sympathy with cows now...

I'll try and put a picture on my profile in a minute. Take care all,
xxx
S

ToastAddict · 09/04/2008 16:37

Sal - first timer here, so ready to stand corrected, but I think that the "baby blues" tend to hit at the same time as your milk comes in - to do with huge hormone surges. So {{{hugs}}} (taking care not to hurt your boobs! ), you will hopefully feel back to normal soon

EllieG · 09/04/2008 16:59

Yey for Sheds, Honeybee and Bunnyrabbit!

Glad your little lad is OK peachy, must've been scary there though x

Very tiring day today - DSD all day and we did too much for me....she needs more entertaining than usual and her behaviour is a bit loopy lou at the moment, probably a bit unsettled cos of the baby coming. Plus DP told me last night he's working all next weekend (he doesn't usually) and so I have to look after DSD when am overdue and have looked after her for the whole of the holidays and he hasn't taken a single bloody day off. And he's grumpy cos HE'S tired!

Hey ho. Will read thread properly later when DSD in bed and have some time. She needs help with her sewing now.......

Denny185 · 09/04/2008 17:15

Well done BR and honey, these boys are coming thick and fast arnt they. Come on Scorpio the pink ones need evening up.

From reading todays thread to here I cant remember who had the -ve strep b test but for you.

Mum has taken DS out for the day today and she couldnt have chosen a better day as DD2 decided night was day last night and stayed awake from 2-5am. Spent the last 2 hours desperately trying to keep her awake to try and reduce the incidence again tonight.

DD1 last night asked if daddy was going to read her story, on answering if thats what you want she replied yes 'coz I like daddy, (thoughtful pause) but im starting to like you' - tell like you mean it kiddo, dont you just love em.

ToastAddict · 09/04/2008 17:38

Denny at your "D" D1
Made me but even so!!!!

Denny185 · 09/04/2008 18:14

I know cheeky little bugger

scorpio1 · 09/04/2008 19:13

arrgghh am going to kill DH the prick

VictorianSqualor · 09/04/2008 19:15

Wassup?

Mollyfloss · 09/04/2008 19:16

why Scorpio?

scorpio1 · 09/04/2008 19:19

just being a prick, going on about how boring waiting is.

i SOOOOO need that after a day at home with a whining 3 yr old. oh yes i am witholding her for fun you twat

BTW, i know i am being slightly OTT but not much, lol. Having lot of cramps.

scorpio1 · 09/04/2008 19:20

and i said oh it must be tough on you. up he gets 'im having a shower'

spoilt brat.

moominsmummy · 09/04/2008 19:20

ellie - big hugs for you - that's a bit crap of your DP really - I know I wanted time to myself when I was overdue last time - if he's not even going to around can't DSD go home to her mum?

well my day did not go as planned...

firstly DH said he didn't feel well enough to drive the 40 miles there and back to pick up his new car so I drove him and DS there and back. Unfortunately it all took longer than expected so the much anticipated and hyped-up trip to manchester on the train to go on the big wheel (miniature version of london eye) did not happen. Instead I had to then drive DS to manchester for his hospital appointment. thought it was going to be fine but he has mild to moderate hearing loss again

he's had two sets of grommets in already (at 10 months then at 2 years) - they don't want to keep putting them in so often so now they want him to have a hearing aid

I know I shouldn't be but am totally gutted - don't mind the ops as he doesn't seem any different from other kids but a hearing aid is so obvious. probably pg hormones but am feeling v sad about it

OP posts:
PortAndLemon · 09/04/2008 19:25

moomin -- Ellie's DSD's mother is dead, so not really an option...

Sorry about your DS. Do they think the hearing loss is permanent or is the hearing aid just to help him through the next couple of years?

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 19:27

Ah moominsmummy, you poor thing. Hearing aids can be SO tiny these days, chances are you won't be able to see it, kids won't spot it and he'll be loads happier and more sociable for being able to hear properly. Still - here I am moaning about having to look after DD and you've had a day like that! More waves of awe and respect to you - make sure you get some time to sit and look after yourself tonight - crappy magazine, crappy tv (I'm catching up on Hollyoaks on 4od ) or good old MN.

Poor Scorpio too! If DH tried to give me any shit tonight he'd get a clap round the ear. Totally forgot what a doss going to work is compared to looking after kids!

DD finally in bed. God she's cute but it's not easy! Was fantasising about being bored at this point in pregnancy last time. Nothing I fancy more than a good box set now!

scorpio1 · 09/04/2008 19:31

we have just sorted it out, he is sorry

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 19:36

and clean!
