Hello - is anybody out there? It's my due day today . I still think she'll be a while coming yet though. She feels way too comfy in there. I'm still not in any rush though so it's not a problem.

No news from scorpio yet ... how disappointing ... .

christmaspixie · 19/04/2008 09:18

Hello NE, I'm checking for Scorpio news too! Hope she didn't have to transfer to hospital. My due date was yesterday, but no signs at all either.

Carey87 · 19/04/2008 09:18

Monring!

Nope no news

(((passes around bacon butties)))

Scampmum · 19/04/2008 09:25

I just logged in specifically for Scorpio news, too, having made it until 10pm and no later last night. Hope all is well with her and Millie and she popped out early then went to sleep for the night!

Hope you can feel all the love, Scorpio.

Happy due date, NEM! I am now officially impatient and I'm only 39+1.

scorpiohasstillnothadbaby · 19/04/2008 09:36

Denny185 · 19/04/2008 09:52

Yeah, go scorpio, congrats on safe arrival, congrats on doing it at home and congrats on breastfeeding.

scorpio1 · 19/04/2008 09:52

she is sleeping and dh has gone into town with jamie to pay some bills so im just sitting here!

Denny185 · 19/04/2008 10:00

make the most of it, im not only typing 1 handed but having to stand and jiggle at the same time, which has now ceased to be effective as well - little squaker - anyway will catch up later so glad to hear your news.

Denny185 · 19/04/2008 10:01

god cant even spell - squawker - does that look better?

christmaspixie · 19/04/2008 10:03

Congrats! How fabulous!! I'm sooooooo happy your home birth went as planned- and that you're breatfeeding! Well done! How did homebirth compare with hospital?
can't wait to see pics, bet she's a sweetie x x x

KnitterInTheNW · 19/04/2008 10:04

Scorpio, hooray hooray hooray!! So glad it all went to plan for you

Where's PFJ? If someone sees her before I do, can you point her to my post yesterday about the minieggs please? I fear if I don't get them into the post to her fairly soon, DH will have scoffed them.

northeastmummy · 19/04/2008 10:07

Ha ha Scorpio ... you just pop the baby out then carry on sitting around waiting for something to happen ... easy peasy!

Lovely news and I'm so glad everything went well for you including the feeding. Well done you!

Now look after yourself and that gorgeous little girl of yours. Can't wait to see the photos.

Hi christmaspixie. How are you feeling? Not too impatient? Is this your first?

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 19/04/2008 10:09

Congratulations Scorpio!! I am so pleased you got the home birth you wanted and that everything went okay! How is Millie? And how did the BFing go?

PortAndLemon · 19/04/2008 10:19

Congratulations scorpio!

moominsmummy · 19/04/2008 10:26

Congratulations Scorpio!!

sorry not been on for a while - been busy with reflexology, coffee mornings. MW appointment (baby 4/5ths engaged but still back to back ) then yesterday went for a walk with some local mums - ended up being nearly 5 miles! I am SOOOOOOOO knackered today. really hope baby doesn't decide to arrive in next 24 hrs as don't have energy to do any pushing..

just getting ready packing for trip to Cambridge for DH's chemo which starts on Monday...my mum is hoping baby will be born down there

OP posts:
northeastmummy · 19/04/2008 10:50

Hi moominsmummy. Make sure you fit in some rest time before Monday. You're going to need all your energy!! Best of luck with everything.

Ayomi · 19/04/2008 10:54

Congrats on this thread too Scorpio
moominsmummy If baby is born in Cambridge I have heard nothing but good stuff about maternity dept there. Was hoping to go myself but alas no. Very brave/mad to walk that must but full kudos to you!

VictorianSqualor · 19/04/2008 11:46

Congratsa Scorpio, dead pleased for you, and the breastfeeding
It can be bloody hard and uncomfortable for the first few days, you have my email if you need any advice or encouragement

Bainmarie · 19/04/2008 12:05

Mollyfloss, elfsmummy, ToastAddict, paranoidmumy, and Scorpio congratulations!
Hope all you ladies still waiting are keeping well, I am getting impatient (40+4 now), not helped by my IL's deciding that tomorrow will be the day lo arrives and keep ringing to see if I have any niggles yet....

Am amazed you can manage a 5 mile walk moominsmummy! DH has taken dc out, so the most I will be up to is eating the last few easter eggs in the house (sadly no mini-eggs ones though)

moominsmummy · 19/04/2008 12:06

Have just made cadbury's chocolate buttons cake with DS - anyone want a slice to celebrate Millie's arrival?

OP posts:
Bainmarie · 19/04/2008 12:15

oooh, that sounds nice, may have to do some baking with dc later!

Scampmum · 19/04/2008 14:15

Yeah! So exciting. MASSIVE CONGRATS on the breastfeeding, absolutely delighted for you and just welled up (again) - blame the pregnancy hormones. Can't wait to see pics of Millie. Brilliant that you got your homebirth and posted within 15 hours!

DD's real birthday today, so far she has called the police who came to our door whilst we were at the neighbours' (our friends who just moved in), and catapulted herself (at their house) over the front of her wheelybug mouse, giving herself a fat nose, a fat lip and potentially two black eyes. She's OK and stopped crying after about five mins so we don't think we need to go to hospital. The police failed to notice when she waved at them through the window, but it's great timing for the midwives/health visitors! 'So, how are you feeling about parenting... good god, what have you done to that child?'
