Just thought I'd have my daily moan: feeling absolutely horrendous again today, it's our NCT group's joint 1st birthday party and I'm missing it DH has taken DD though so at least she's not missing out. He initially said we mustn't tell them but I've just called him on his mobile and it sounds like he's changed his mind - I'm leaving it to him! My rule of thumb is only to tell people whose shoulders I'd want to cry on if it all went wrong but it's a hard rule to stick to, especially in situations like this.

DS is having another sleep (he likes his cot ). I've been looking at new born gro-bags; DS started using a gro-bag when he was about 6 weeks which was one of our better parenting decisions .

It will seem strange having a little baby again - at the moment I feel that DS is still just about a baby although now that there is another smaller one inside me I am feeling a bit more that he is a boy.

The cat is sitting on my knee so I obviously can't do any useful household tasks

franch · 22/01/2005 15:43

Hi PC. Talking of cots, are you going to move your ds to a bed before #2 comes along?

DecafArabica · 22/01/2005 18:27

Jaxpax! So glad someone's due date is my (44th)b'day. That's a big gap...were you planning another baby or was it a surprise?
I managed to see my GP on Friday, as they had a cancellation. He was very positive and told me that so long as the hospital agreed (they might want me to come to them because I am high risk due to my age), I could come to him for shared care. The practice nurse (who's new) had told me all the surgery's pg women had their ante-natal appts at the hospital.
Went out with friend for dinner last night. The thought of goats cheese, butter, or anything eggy made me feel like throwing up, but was able to drink a glass of wine without any problems whatsoever!

franch · 22/01/2005 18:31

All I've been able to eat today is a leftover piece of chocolate cake from the babies' party Decaf!

yingers74 · 22/01/2005 19:46

Hello ladies,

Glad to see you are all doing well. Just posting an update about my situation. went into hospital today after 5th day of bleeding. Once I got there GP referred me to A and E, after several hours, I finally saw a doctor, they did two pregnancy tests on me and they were positive then they did an internal exam(lovely!) and my cervix is closed and then they took some blood. I have to go in on Monday again for a scan but today I am still pregnant and have not miscarried. However, am still bleeding which as they say is not normal but they at this point do not know which way it will go so am still playing the waiting game.

Love to all for your support, keep those fingers crossed for me x

Oh Yingers ((((big hugs)))). How horrid to have to wait .

I'll keep my fingers crossed that all is well for you on Monday. Take it easy over the weekend, if that's possible with a toddler.

LadyLazarus · 22/01/2005 21:15

crossing my fingers and toes for you Yingers xxxxx

DecafArabica · 23/01/2005 00:42

Good luck Yingers, thinking of you...

franch · 23/01/2005 11:08

Yingers, hugs and lots of luck to you. Please let us know what happens tomorrow.

maretta · 23/01/2005 11:34

Hi yingers. Hope the scan goes well tomorrow. Please let us know how you get on?

Jaxpax · 23/01/2005 13:43

Hi yingers, thinking of you and hoping all goes well.

Decafarabica - glad to be on board for your 44th. To answer your question, dh and I discussed over xmas whether we should immigrate to Australia(I previously lived there for 7 years) or have a baby. As I am 41 and only getting older we decided to go for baby. January blues and cold dark mornings arrived and we started to re-think our decision. We did not think I would get pregnant straight away! So we are still a little shocked. We are also really exited but scared, who isn't??

Kiwicath · 23/01/2005 13:44

Hang on in there Yingers (and bean). Loads of hugs and thinking of you.

SarahBee · 23/01/2005 14:31

Hope all's well tomorrow Yingers. xxx

PicadillyCircus · 23/01/2005 20:31

Yingers, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Franch, not sure what we're going to do about where DS sleeps when number 2 comes along. We are moving house soon to a three bedroom one which gives us more options than our two bedroom house at the moment. I'll think about the cot/bed thing about three months before Number 2 makes an appearance I think.

Sallie · 24/01/2005 09:25

Yingers - lots of hugs (((((())))))) hope it goes well today. We are all here for you.

Sallie · 24/01/2005 09:48

Am getting a bit of motion type sickness when in the car or on the tube and sometimes if I stand up quickly. Also had bad headache on Friday and a slight touch of heartburn (yuk!). The worst symptom I have though is restless legs at night. Almost every night I wake at around 3/4am and find it really hard to go back to sleep. Last time don't remember getting these symptoms until a lot later on, especially the heartburn and restless legs....

DecafArabica · 24/01/2005 10:32

Hope today goes OK Yingers xxx
Sallie, I am also noticing many more symptoms much earlier, but all the same, this pregnancy feels entirely different from when I was expecting DS.
Jaxpax glad to see there's another old up-the-duffer on this thread! I conceived straightaway too.

zubb · 24/01/2005 10:36

Yingers - hope everything goes OK.

Sallie, I always feel light headed when I get up, or have to stand for too long. If this is anything like my first two pregnancies it's because my blood pressure goes really low, so I get this all the way through. Felt really tired this weekend - went to bed ridiculously early on Friday, meaning to have a couple of hours and then get up, but slept through till morning! It did me good though, and dh took the kids out for most of the weekend to give me time to rest, so I feel all refreshed today

Sallie · 24/01/2005 10:47

Sadly we are in the midst of diy hell so am pretty much a single parent whilst dh bless him gets on with sorting the plumbing etc out. No time to rest unfortunately...

yingers74 · 24/01/2005 11:19

Hey all,

Have bad news am afraid. Have lost the baby, so am off to ttc/miscarriage threads. I hope wish you well in all your pregnancies. will probably lurk now and again to how you are all doing.

Wish me luck for future conception

love to all xx
