Yingers I am so sorry ((((((((( ))))))))))

LadyLazarus · 24/01/2005 11:32

Sallie - I am getting the motion type sickness and early morning waking as well. I have a secret stash of cream crackers by the side of the bed, and sometimes a nibble on one of those is enough to settle me back to sleep, although not this morning!

I'm also having the most bizarre dreams - yesterday I dreamed that I was in a beauty salon having a hand massage (as you do), and the girl took hair straightening irons (hot!) and massaged my hands inside them! what's that all about???!

franch · 24/01/2005 11:32

Yingers, I am so very sorry to hear your news. Sending you all the hugs and sympathy in the world. Please keep in touch and let us know when it works out for you - I'm sure it won't be long.

zubb · 24/01/2005 11:32

Yingers, so sorry to hear that
Wishing you all the best for the future.

Sallie · 24/01/2005 11:33

Have tried munching on a biscuit but that doesn't seem to work. Am also getting odd dreams - last night was back at uni and facing exams that I hadn't revised at all for!!!!

maretta · 24/01/2005 12:05

Yingers - so sad to hear that you've had bad news.

Hope all goes well for you in the future. We'll all be looking out for your name on an ante-natal thread soon.

yingers74 · 24/01/2005 12:17

tah everyone, have my mum here so she is keeping dd busy. Everyone is saying the usual 'at least it is now rather than later', 'nature's way' etc. Not that helpful but all well meant. doctors are a funny lot, none wanted to tell me so I had to practically tell them and they agreed with my own diagnosis!

Yingers, I'm really really sorry to hear your news. Of course I'll wish you all the best for TTC and hope that you keep in touch. Take care of yourself XXXXXX

Tallbird · 24/01/2005 12:51

Yingers, so sorry to hear your news - have been through this myself, so know what a nightmare it is.
Take care of yourself - and all the best for the future

DecafArabica · 24/01/2005 15:31

Yingers, what sad news. Glad you've got someone with you, and look forward to seeing you on a 'due in...' thread sometime in the future.

andif · 24/01/2005 16:17

Yingers, so sorry to hear your news. I'm sure there's nothing I can say to make it feel better, but best of luck for a happier future.

andif · 24/01/2005 16:21

Have already given up decaff tea - was on a January detox before realised pregnant, so carried on good intention, but realised has no taste at all!
Sallie, I find camomile tea is brilliant for getting back to sleep in middle of night after umpteen trips to loo and 'busy legs'. It's a bit of a pain to get up and make it (and wakes up the puppy, but that's a different problem!!), but really seems to work!

Kiwicath · 24/01/2005 17:00

Yingers, sweetheart . Big time hugs XXXX

franch · 24/01/2005 19:08

Well, I survived DD's 1st birthday today and actually enjoyed it - had lots of help and only vomited once (compared with 7 times yesterday). Actually ate a sandwich and some birthday cake - major achievement! Had a lovely day and am now utterly exhausted

DecafArabica · 24/01/2005 21:25

Well done Franch! Did you tell all the guests why you were so tired or are you keeping your pregnancy quiet for now?

PicadillyCircus · 25/01/2005 08:15

Glad you enjoyed DD's birthday party franch .

Sallie · 25/01/2005 09:21

Am feeling quite sick now, particularly at either end of the day and also when I am hungry. The thought of certain foods turns my stomach as do ds and dd's nappies! Haven't actually been sick yet though - its more of a motion sickness feeling. So can't moan too much as I know some of you are suffering quite badly.....

PicadillyCircus · 25/01/2005 09:45

Have done my first bit of actually being sick , my tummy did not like having an apple in it.

Seem to have constant nausea - it's a bit better if I keep eating so I am keeping eating .

Jaxpax · 25/01/2005 09:53

Yingers,

Really sorry to hear your news. Be kind to yourself.

xxx

Sallie · 25/01/2005 10:46

Got my nuchal scan appointment for 28 Feb - yippeee!!! Scared and exciting at the same time although hoping will get a sneaky peek at the bean just to make sure all is ok before then.....Not bad though - now looking forward to hearing from the midwives who will probably take longer to respond as the team is so understaffed.

Kiwicath · 25/01/2005 12:16

I CAN'T STOP EATING!!! I was so pleased a month back as I was back down to my pre preg weight and my appetite was a healthy one. I put on a massive 25kg's with the first pregnancy. If my appetite is anything to go by, I'll be off the scales with this babe . Still breastfeeding so that may have something to do with it. I don't believe in "eating for two" but I'm just so damned hungry all the time!!!

Sallie · 25/01/2005 12:21

Kiwicath - not surprised you are ravenous if you are still bf as well as being pg. My appetite noticeably dropped both times when I stopped bf and the weight also dropped off. I am also hungry all the time at the moment but am listening to my body and am vainly trying to be semi-healthy!

PicadillyCircus · 25/01/2005 12:24

KiwiCath, I put on 28.5 kg with DS. And then it all went (and more). I am also eating lots at the moment and nothing seems to be healthy

maretta · 25/01/2005 12:47

Hi everyone.

I'm not surprised your eating loads either KiwiKath. I ate like a horse when I was breastfeeding and was constantly starving.

Pregnancy seems to be having the opposite effect. I've not had cravings - I've just gone right off food. It's not fair, it's supposed to be the pleasurable part of pregnancy.

Has anybody got any obscure cravings? I always fancied one of those?

Beatie · 25/01/2005 12:53

Yingers. I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your baby.

Whilst everyone's comments are well-meaning... it does matter whenever it happens and whilst you will be able to get pregnant again and have a healthy pregnancy, you wanted this one to be healthy.

I have been there twice myself. Anyway, take all the time you need to heal. Feel however you want to feel about it. With my 1st I wasn't too upset and just wanted to move on and get pregnant again but it hits me more now when I think about it and it was almost a year ago.
