Mollyfloss · 08/04/2008 20:06

and I just clicked to channel 4 where 'how to look good naked is on' and they have just shown some of the worst stretch marks I have ever seen!

Scampmum · 08/04/2008 20:10

I was bollock naked in the pool (and for most of my labour, as I recall, in spite of being someone who used to change in the loos at the gym!) and DH came in with me, it was lovely. He was actually talking about it last night and it really calmed me down about labour as it's such a special memory.

Mollyfloss · 08/04/2008 20:10

Just reading back on the past few comments...

Horseriding throughout pg! Carey is officially a nutcase!

I've done my birth plan but it's very flexible: DH is birth partner. TENS at home, continue with it in hospital if it helps, otherwise might try birth pool. Gas & air. Would prefer no epidural but want to know when point of no return is. Would rather not have episiotomy unless necessary. No bottles. I think that's it!

chipmonkey · 08/04/2008 20:16

Has the PFJ gone missing in action?

TLSM · 08/04/2008 20:18

Seems like it Chipmonkey its her first though so hopefully she too busy with her new lo

PortAndLemon · 08/04/2008 20:19

I'm guessing PFJ may have wound up in hospital for several days -- maybe a c-section? Hope everything's OK with her.

scorpio1 · 08/04/2008 20:21

on call MW just said to ring again if loss gets more or get cx, she happy for me to be looked at tomorrow, maybe another VE.

Carey87 · 08/04/2008 20:30

text from Sheds:

Henry peter, born Sunday at 10.11am, 7lb 13oz by emergency c section

Peachy · 08/04/2008 21:39

Just to apologise for not beinga round (desperately wanted to find out how everyone and who has delivered- good luck to those in labour and getting started!), had paed check today and Sebastian was taken to hospital to have them redone.... then into SCBU..... and the cardiac unit.... and placed in an incubator, at rhich point Dh and I were petrified! Fortunately ssiter was visiting so ahd childcare for a once in a year occasion; fortunately seems OK, he does have a heart murmer but nothing major, have to kep a close eye on him for a list of various things but if no issues (999 if there is) wills ee cardiac team in 6 weeks, and if still rpesent will have tests then. Seems OK though to us, but V scary!

moominsmummy · 08/04/2008 21:48

OMG Peachy! how scary

big hugs for you and your family. Is sebastian home?

Well done sheds - hope all ok

I have wiped all the skirting boards and scrubbed several floors - house looking quite clean but baby is still back to back

anyone ever had any success with the OFP (optimal foetal positioning)? really don't want to do back to back labour

chipmonkey · 08/04/2008 22:00

Oh, Peachy, you poor thing, how scary! One of my cousins had a murmur since birth but it has never troubled her, she's 42 now and a Mum of 2!

Meant to say, congratulations, Sheds!!!!!!

Peachy, doesn't Sebastian Peach sound like a celebrity name? That boy will go far!

jenniejennie · 08/04/2008 23:15

Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies over the last few days. Its all getting a bit real now!!

I think I might win the weight gain competition, I cant even begin to work out what it is in pounds!! I was 10 stone after a few weeks of morning sickness (normally 10.5 stone) Im now 14 1/2 stone. I think a lot of it is water retention as my feet and legs are huge and I have gained a stone in a week. Midwife not worried though, my blood pressure is fine. I think my feet are going to explode.

moominsmummy · 09/04/2008 08:01

Morning all!

Any LO's arrived overnight?

Jennie - sorry to hear about your feet - at least it's cool weather at the mo' - if it was summer we'd all be cooked!

I started off at 11 stone then lost a stone and a half with severe morning sickness (at which point I also lost any interest in ever having any more children). Am now 12stone so overall have put on just a stone...

but with 3+ weeks to go and my appetite increasing every day - there's plenty of time to pile it on!

moominsmummy · 09/04/2008 08:12

thread getting v full so here's a new one
