Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 11:33

Argh, I wish someone would hurry up and call me.
I need to know what's going on.
I'm that bored and trying to keep myself awake I have just started an MN blog. On nothing.

SuzeM · 08/04/2008 11:48

Congratulations Sal.
Denny, Aeryn is gorgeous.

VS and VIKKIM, hope you feel better soon.

Just found out that my aunt can't come over to help after the baby is born. MIL will come if asked but might be better to be on our own.

Off to an NCT lunch now to compare swollen feet, etc.

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 11:50

Where is Piccallili?
I just remembered she was in my dream last night...along with Cod

Mollyfloss · 08/04/2008 12:09

I just looked around on the internet and it seems that it's normal to lose a little weight at the very end of pg. Even though I am eating all the same stuff I don't have as much room for the same quantities so that's probably it and swimming and walking too. At this stage I'm a bit over the recommended weight gain anyway so I won't complain!

Mum2b: Good for you that you are all bump!

sagitta · 08/04/2008 12:16

VS - Who are you waiting for a phone call from? More MW stuff?

Scampmum · 08/04/2008 12:17

Morning all! Congratulations Micegg and Sal (your birth story made it hard for me to catch up with the thread through my misty eyes), and Denny, she is beautiful and has made me all broody.

Had anxiety panic last night about birth - SO weird that I'm suddenly all nervous about it when I enjoyed it last time. MW this morning was very reassuring this morning and said only normal with a LO to plan for and having had a relatively traumatic saga when she was born. 3/5 engaged though I know from BR and Scorps that means bugger all about when labour will happen (but does go to show, along with VS still being here, that my dreams are rubbish).

GREAT to hear about having two LOs, TMP - I too am really struggling with DD and doing my back in by curling round the bump every time she demands a story (approx. 100x a day). If I'm ever pg again it will definitely be when DD is old enough to take full responsibility for her little sib! She was SO GRUMPY this morning. She's got this cold and was literally screaming 'WHERE ARE MY BUTTONS? I WANT MY PYJAMAS!' when I undid her pyjamas to take them off to get her dressed for nursery.

Dropping of baby has definitely alleviated my SPD - I walked to the bus stop today WITHOUT CRUTCHES (although I might have looked like I should be carrying a holster and wearing spurs)! Was as proud as if I'd run a 45 minute 10k.

Good luck to all - it's so exciting on this thread these days!

Mollyfloss · 08/04/2008 12:17

Just posted a picture of my bump that was taken on Sunday.

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 12:24

Yes sagitta, apparently I have to speak to a doctor to cancel my CS. But they are all in clinic so I have to wait for one to call back.

EllieG · 08/04/2008 12:26

Molly you are one of those lovely neat bump people who make me want to cry at bit. But I forgive you.

My breakfast was yum, though was with two other neat bump people who kept saying 'Mmm yes you're a completely different shape to us aren't you?'. Not sure if that is a euphemism for 'Someone's eaten all the pies haven't they?'

soit'slikethisisit?

Sorry you're feeling crap VS

Denny Aeryn is so beautiful! I want mine now too! I hope she looks as nice as yours. If she's a munter am not going to put any pics up.

sagitta · 08/04/2008 12:26

Urggh, how annoying. So you can't concentrate on anything in meantime...

EllieG · 08/04/2008 12:27

Still not right! Am giving up on the striking out thing is too hard. Stupid 'puter.

Scampmum · 08/04/2008 12:27

Gosh VS, you poor thing, this not knowing must be driving you mental.

M2B2BR - that's great about being all bump. DH keeps commenting on how well my arse balances my bump - don't know whether to hope the bump disappears quickly or not!!

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 12:28

Molly! You cow, why are your legs a normal size?

Scampmum · 08/04/2008 12:29

Ellie, that's the second time you've made me LOL today.

EllieG · 08/04/2008 12:29

Missed your post VS sorry wasn't ignoring. Bummer about waiting round for docs to call you. Am going to read your blog to find out even more about you [Ellie puts on stalking hat]

egyptianprincess · 08/04/2008 12:30

congrats Sal- so glad it all went well and that your little baby with the gorgeous name is well. denny- aeryn is ADORABLE- what great babycheeks!
VIK- I feel the same...so fed up now even though my official due date is today...am seeing the midwife tomorrow so will beg for a sweep as being housebound cause of the SPD is making me so miserable. I never thought that this waiting bit would be so hard...and of course loads of people have called today expecting news but nothing doing despite valiant pineapple eating, raspberry tea leaf and evening primrose oil capsule ingesting, clary sage rubbing and wine drinking. Would LOVE to have the baby tomorrow on DH's 30th birthday so may see an acupuncturist tomorrow if midwife has no postive news. scampmum, glad to hear your spd is better..mine seems to be getting worse and it's just not worth the pain to try to walk anywhere.
VS- glad to hear you have pushed back the cs. my puffy fingers are crossed for you.
good luck to everyone else and let's keep these babies coming!

egyptianprincess · 08/04/2008 12:31

sorry, VS, misunderstood- thought you had already had cs pushed back. good luck.

Scampmum · 08/04/2008 12:31

Molly, that's kind of what my bump looks like, but like I say, my arse balances it out. You are one of these back-in-jeans-in-two-weeks types, I can tell. Think you will look great in your size 10 wedding dress with big boobs!

EllieG · 08/04/2008 12:31

Ooo does wine drinking help? That sounds more fun than pineapple.

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 12:33

LOL Ellie, it doesn't really say anything about me.

Scampmum · 08/04/2008 12:33

Ah, EP, you have my greatest empathy. Wish I could tell you what has helped but actually have been totally rubbish at doing pelvic floors and other exercises lately! Here are some baby vibes because popping it out is the best cure...

sagitta · 08/04/2008 12:37

There are too many neat little bumps on this thread (Scorpio, molly ...Very pleased to hear about your arse, Scampmum, sounds like mine! And my bump is a biggy, like VS's...

EllieG · 08/04/2008 12:41

Mine is too. In fact, people have been known to gasp slightly at the size o' me. I was kinda hoping in one way that baby would be ginormous as would mean it wasn't just me being a fatty. But apparently this is not to be, baby is about 8 pounds at moment though am telling people I have 'lots of fluid' as otherwise they start talking about the amount of biscuits have been eating.

There isn't ANYTHING about you VS - no good for stalking purposes at all. But amusing nonetheless. Did you write that cottage pie thing? Was funny

Mollyfloss · 08/04/2008 12:43

Thanks for the comments but note that black trousers makes legs and bum look relatively ok in contrast to white top highlighting bump ;-) so this is as good as I can possibly look right now. In reality my arse is quite big although my legs are ok (I put it down to swimming).

If any of you can haul yourself to a pool by the way I'd strongly recommend it. I don't do much in there (no butterfly legs allowed by the way). I just potter around for a while, barely swim at all just float around but it's lovely to be weightless for a while and I always notice when I get out that my legs, feet and hands are less puffy and this can last for about a day or two so it's well worth it.

I feel terrible for you ladies who have SPD. Sounds so painful and frustrating and I understand why you're desperate to have the LO's out!

VictorianSqualor · 08/04/2008 12:44

Yes, I wrote cottage pie. It was just a conversation DP and I had last night about dumping people.

I keep trying to remind myself I was about this big with DS, but he was born on the 29th december, and by the 15th january I went out for my birthday party in size 14 jeans and top, so it can't have taken that long to go down.
