Hehe

AutumnLady · 10/04/2008 12:23

mabel - is there no one else you can see? I know you have been through this before but you will still need support from someone you can trust! You'll probably get a scan date when you've seen the midwife. I was lucky to get an early scan as apparently my NHS trust doesn't normally do them but my GP wrote specifically to get me seen as I have suffered with an eating disorder in the past and she just wants an eye or two kept on me. I hope I get a mw appt soon as I worry that I'll get left out of the system!! I need to get my c-section plans in soon so that they can all get their moaning out of their systems well before bump is due.

OK, so if cheese is off the menu (pardon the pun!) then what about:

November 08 babies are turning us into busty bombshells

Heartmum2Jamie · 10/04/2008 12:26

Yes, I think we have to get the cheese in there somewhere! I was actually thinking of just changing the wording to this thread title slightly, so something like

Due Nov 08 - we're a bunch of worrying fusspots who don't know what we want to eat, but pass us the cheese (and rice if you must) purlease while we wait for 12 weeks

Brilliant HM2J!! sums us all up marvellously

Heartmum2Jamie · 10/04/2008 12:27

I am definately getting busty. I think my boobs rather than my tummy are what is going to curb my tummy sleeping this time, it's starting to get uncomfy!

Same here, I'm normally a 32B but they are growing huge!! I am just off to M&S which is up the road from the office as I can't stand it any longer!!

mabel1973 · 10/04/2008 12:37

autumnlady - i live in a small village and there is only 1 midwife to cover the whole area, so unfortunately i don't have any choice but the see her. BTW i am in nottingham.
Have you called your surgery about a booking in appointment? I think it varies from one area to another depending on whether you see the midwife at you local surgery (as they do round here) or do it through your hospital.
Anyway - I am off now, as DS2 wants his lunch. Lovely chatting to you all, will catch up later ...sounds like I may have to try and locate a new thread!

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 13:09

oblomov, i'm glad i could help. i think these things can creep up on you unawares. let us know how you get on with the docs.

i have found something to help with my vinegar craving and the sickness....pickled sushi ginger

i've just got back from sainsbury's. pregnant with morning sickness and shopping DO NOT go! I've come home with 4 carrier bags full of miscellaneous shite, and nothing to actually make a meal out of! Still I have the all important pickled ginger

i'm also up for strong flavours and have been cooking a string of chilli and curry and adding jalapenos to everything!

hi to mabel and firsttimemama and welcome. ftm; i think most of us were february conceptions. 14th here and due 7th november.

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 13:11

oh, and went to see practice nurse to get booking bloods done as the MW couldn't get any blood out of me on Tuesday, and it took her four goes at different veins to get what she needed. i'm like a very bruised pincushion now .

Now I'm sure i read that blood vessels dilate and blood volume increases this early in pregnancy......obviously not for me!

Heartmum2Jamie · 10/04/2008 13:17

lacksDAISYcal, I am a terrible bleeder (somehow that doesn't sound right!) It is well known amongst the midwives who have cared for me in the past to send me to the local hossie for bloods rather than attempt it themselves. The phelbotomists are pretty good but even they struggle sometimes, I usually end up with blood drawn fro the back of my hand where my veins are best. Don't ever let them take blood from your wrist, it blardy hurts!

I am also LOL at your shopping. That is why we plan our meals as best we can for the week in advance and I order the groceries to be delivered, it stops me from getting a load of crap! However, by the time a certain day/meal comes, I don't fancy it, lol!

welcome to mabel and firsttimemum

I have a huuuge thing for donuts at the moment! bought 4 iced ones yesterday and 4 sugar ring ones today I haven't eaten them all myself btw, dd and dp have been helping out
Will keep a look out for thread titles including the words "eat" and "cheese"

Heartmum2Jamie · 10/04/2008 13:23

When are you supposed to have bloods done? I know, 3rd time mother hasn't a clue! I am already 10 1/2 weeks and haven't had mine done yet I was given all the forms, already filled in, but it doesn't say when i should go.

New thread will be up in a tick and I will put the link here so people don't miss it!
