ash, glad all is OK, but not sure about the drug, sorry.

oblomov, I'm glad you're talking to the doctor. when I saw mine later on the pregnancy he talked about AND and said that it is believed now that most PND actually starts in pregnancy. It's good that you are dealing with this head on and hopefully the rest of your pregnancy will be a happy and stress free affair. I went through 30 miserable weeks before DH marched me to the GP and helped m,e tell the gP just how bad things really were. a lot of my anxieties were tied up in my previous miscarriages as well. Often, just talking it through can make all the difference.

the miscarriage association have a helpline as well, if you'd find that useful. They also have good information leaflets including one concerning partners and how they cope with miscarriage as well, which you can download.

{{{{{hugs}}}}} and i hope you're feeling better soon. xx

Oblomov · 10/04/2008 10:42

daisy, thank you, I have phoned their helpline and feel a bit better.

Oblomov - I'm sorry you're feeling so low but glad you keep on posting, everyone is here to help each other and it's such a positive website that I know people really do care about how you're feeling and we have all had such different experiences in life which makes for some good advice! Just keep your chin up and remember how lovely you are

Is anyone in SE London? I live in SE16 but work in Westminster (SW1) and would really like to find some people to meet up with as sometimes feel a bit alone with all this as none of our friends have kids and the rare ones that do live miles away!

I have a craving for some grilled haloumi.... and I had 2 slices of PB on toast last night when i got home from work!! I think we are all obesessed with food on here!

x

Hi hana - I had that too a few days ago and was really worried, but when I read up about it it's just everything stretching to make room for the baby. at one point it felt like something was about to snap but it has settled down now

everyone's in London! I am guessing there is no one in cambridge?
Oblimov- glad yo are feeling a little better.
hanaflower sorry no idea- hope it gets better tho.
Is everyone still peeing every 3 seconds? i am getting up 3 times a night, and needing to pee about every 40 minutes in the day!

AutumnLady · 10/04/2008 11:13

i have never been to the loo so many times! I am not used to waking up in the middle of the night but it's something I obviously need to get used to! Does anyone else suffer with really bad indigestion?

Oblomov · 10/04/2008 11:47

No peeing or indigestion here. Atleast thats something to be grateful for

Oblomov · 10/04/2008 11:48

Food, I need strong flavours. Curry. coronation chicken with loads of spring onions. Never even used to even like spring onions very much !!

mabel1973 · 10/04/2008 11:52

Hi

can I join?
I am due on the 26th (i think....haven't seen the midwife yet)
It will be my third, I have 2 DS's already, and I have only just recently stopped posting on my september 06 post natal club thread for DS2!
I cannot believe how may of you there is! Hope everyone is feeling ok, not too sicky!

AutumnLady · 10/04/2008 11:58

Hi Mabel, welcome to the thread! congrats for this pg and nice to hear from you.

Ob - I am the opposite, can't stomach spicy food which I normally love! Have a thing for pineapple and salt & Vinegar crisps but that's about it really. have you seen the dr yet? hope all's ok

mabel1973 · 10/04/2008 12:00

Hi autumn lady thanks for the welcome.
It is inetresting to hear what cravings everyone has...mine are changing daily, yesterday calamari..today potato salad..bizarre!
Has anyone had thier booking in appointment yet?

Heartmum2Jamie · 10/04/2008 12:10

Hanaflower, I have been having cervix twinges as well, a really strange feeling, not very pleasant. I guess it is practice for when it feels like baby will stick it's arm out and wave at you later. Both of mine had a lovely tendancy to tap on my cervix, always made me jump!

Right ladies, we need ANOTHER new thread name. Sugestions very much appreciated. I hope to get it up and running quickly so I have time to link the threads together!

I had a scan last Friday which put me at an EDD of 9th November. According to my dates it should have been september lol never mind, am happy to have a bit more time to get used to everything. I have my 12 wk scan on 28th April and then I think I will get a mw appointment but am not sure how it all works. Whereabouts do you live?

Heartmum2Jamie · 10/04/2008 12:12

Hi Mabel! Welcome on board. I am also expecting my 3rd and have 2 ds's, although am a few weeks ahead of you.

Oh, and for some strange reason I am loving the more spicy food where usually I avoid it if possible. It's very yummy right now!

Or how about 'Due Nov 08 - bring on the cheese and rice'

mabel1973 · 10/04/2008 12:18

hi heartmum!
auntumnlady i haven't had a date for my 1st scan, i think i am about 7 weeks, my booking in appointment with my midwife (who is useless - i had her with DS2...sigh) is next monday!

Both my DS's have had chickenpox in the last 2 weeks, i know i should have called the midwife, but I figured I have had it, so should be immune, plus - what can she do anyway I can't avoid contact with my children!
