welcome autumnlady
pinkali phew soo pleased
bubbaz good luck, hope all is ok
doctorswife seriously, if you feel like crisps then eat crisps. After 3 months when you have stopped throwing up, then worry about what you eat! for now eat what you fancy
40 minute walk to ballet starting in 5 mins, only just back from 30 minute walk with dog. I do not want to peel butt from computer! stamps feet

AutumnLady · 07/04/2008 15:53

Thanks LolaBella where is the list? I will copy and paste and add myself on. Is it further back in the thread?

LOL serendippity know what you mean, sometimes computer much more fun than other stuff you have to do

I though you had to wear tighter fitting bras or have I got that as wrong as my dates...?????!

Tinkerisdead · 07/04/2008 15:54

serendippity i just waited for the plumber to leave as i was starving whilst feling sick (how how does that work?) and helped myself two two packets of salt and vinegar and a glass of lemonade! really hit the spot and i'll try not to feel guilty. was a goo point you raised. better to eat shite and keep the fluids down that eat nothing and be sick more. is a third packet pushing it?

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 16:07

doctors wife, eat as many as you feel you need! before ms kicked in id eat around 4 packs a day (no im not obese!) i was saying all this to dh yesterday worrying about all the crap im eating/drinking and he said i thought the same when pg with ds and that when the ms wore off i went on a health kick and made up for it. So i plan on this! Glad to hear your ok pink, hello autunm lady

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 16:11

just want to add officially in maternity jeans now. Just couldnt walk around in public with my pants on show anymore, oh also my bump band has finally turned up is a s/m but it is too big!! Its saggy and makes me look like i have a fat belly! Not impressed

Pinkali37 · 07/04/2008 16:15

I feel bloated and would love to get into maternity jeans btu only 9 weeks on Friday, is this too soon or a bloody good excuse?

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 16:17

pink i am only 7 weeks!!!

pinkyminky · 07/04/2008 16:22

Great news Pinkali just the kind of news we needed!
Hello Autumn Lady - I'm not laughing as I really have no idea where I'm up to with this pregnancy. Have to wait until next week to find out.

Re: burning tummy- have you been drinking loads of orange juice? May it be acid indigestion? I had the most horrendous heartburn of my life when pregnant after eating a very mild chilli. If you are desperate for orange I would eat oranges rather than drink juice as it will be less acid.
I'm in maternity jeans with a visible bump. I'm off to the theatre with a friend this sat, and I'm not sure I'll get away with it. I'm avoiding the pub til after my scan as that would definitely let the cat out of the bag!

Underwire- not not a good idea. Breast tissue is changing and underwire not good for you.
Have been sick quite a few times today. Not feeling great.

mummyhill · 07/04/2008 16:27

You should be wearing properly fitting bras which offer max support without being underwired especially if you want to breast feed. Apparently underwire bras can cause damage to breast tissue.

Mothercare do a maternity range but I personally found them useless the last 2 times. Being well endowed in the first place I have opted for marks and sparks again as the girls there do seem to know what they are talking about when measuring up and spent time with me to find something that fits well and is comfy as comfort is most important to me atm.

Pinkali37 · 07/04/2008 16:28

I read that underwire can press against the milk ducts. All very techinal!

pinkyminky · 07/04/2008 16:29

Thanks, Hanaflower. All great suggestions but I know my bf will insist on buying me a drink. Green tinge no alcohol plus bump, all a bit of a giveaway. I'll just have to wait til next weekend.

Pinkali37 · 07/04/2008 16:30

Pinky, so you haven't had a scan yet? When is it due? and how far are you now?

Tinkerisdead · 07/04/2008 16:31

mad4mybaby i too got a s/m band and it was sagging, ive folded it over and it helps. im using it to disguise the fact im walking round with my jeans undone

pinkyminky · 07/04/2008 16:33

Yep PInkali that's right. Marks are good, aren't they? The carriwell bras that NCT sell are really comfy, though very unattractive!

pinkyminky · 07/04/2008 16:36

Sorry cross posts, Pinkali my scan is goingto be next Wednesday, but I really don't know where I am up to I could be anything from 10- 13 weeks by then. nThey did offer me a scan at 8:15am this wednesday but there is no way my mum could get here to babysit for that time!

Oblomov · 07/04/2008 16:37

When is it not o.k. to wear underwired ?Surely it is o.k. in early pregnancy ?
If you have big boobs like me, god I need an underwired.

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 16:39

ob, i wore underwired bras all through my last pg. Didnt have any probs at all. Obv dont know what my tissue looks like!

pinkyminky · 07/04/2008 16:40

I wouldn't advise it, Oblomov. I know how you feel, though my boobs have got steadily larger with each baby.

mummyhill · 07/04/2008 16:41

Oblomov I am a 38F/G depending on where I shop and have found underwired not to bad. Seriously you need to get bras without wires during pregnancy because as the breast tissue changes and the wires press against the milk ducts studies have show a higher risk of breast cancer.

Pinkali37 · 07/04/2008 16:41

Exactly, Anyone normally over an A cup really can't get away without underwiring. I did get offered a very attractive sports bra though.. MMMMmmmmmm thank god i'm pregnant now cos I certainly wouldn't have a cat in hells chance with that bra!

mummyhill · 07/04/2008 16:45

Wait till you get to the really unatractive feeding bras.

I have gotten larger with each pregnancy too and for some reason do not lose weight/mass from there after/in between babies. I was a 38 D before I had my first.

bubbaz · 07/04/2008 16:46

I got Anita Maternity Bras - They go up to very large sizes!!!
they have a wsebsite www.anita.com they aren't cheap but they aren't too ugly and they are very comfy, They do nursing bras too.x

Pinkali37 · 07/04/2008 16:46

ooh mummyhill... I'm a 34 C but have gone up to a D cup and they seem to have stopped (thank the lord).
