Evening everyone

Bubbaz - thanks for updating the list - I had noticed that I had disappeared again.

Serendipity - thanks for the tip about the Twinings tea, I think I might try and buy some tomorrow as the MS is definitely getting worse .

Roca - I have also gone straight to a MW's appointment as I asked the dr's receptionist if I needed to see my doctor and she said no, as long as everything was fine. I am ok with this as when I was pg with DS, I thought I had to go and see my doctor and all he did was say ok, you need to go to the practice clinic for a test' and that was it - and then I was sat for 2 hours in the practice clinic waiting for a test - so I really didn't want to do that this time.

Hi to everyone else.

Am really starting to feel the MS now - thought I had done well to escape it. Tomorrow is the first day looking after DS by myself whilst feeling bad so wish me luck! Went to aerobics again this morning and really felt queasy towards the end - not sure if it is a good idea to go again for a while.

x

Ceebie74 plus other really queasy ladies, here are my top tips for dealing with nausea:
Ginger cordial with soda or sparkling water
orange juice lollies
mints or other boiled sweets
cracker breads (whichever you like) with marmite and if you can brave it, cheese.
apples
grapes
Green salad - rocket is full of folic acid so is a good choice
eating lots of tiny meals of a single food item at a time and eat fruit first
not drinking anything whilst eating.
fresh air
moving about as much as possible- sitting still too long can make it much worse.
hope this is of any use.

Really hope Divedaisy is ok.

Snow here in sunny Manchester, too. Went sledging up near my mum and dad's, great fun!

divedaisy · 06/04/2008 21:48

Evening Ladies. I just want to say a big thanks to you all for worrying about me and wishing me all the best. Unfortunately Friday brought me the news I was expecting - the sac was growing but the foetal pole wasn't - blighted ovum or an anembryonic pregnancy - the sac thinks it's pregnant but there's nothing inside it growing. I was offered 3 choices - to go home and let nature takes its course, to have a series of pesseries or a D&C. I chose the D&C and had it done very late on Friday night, home Sat lunchtime, and basically I've slept since. In one hand I am sad, but in the other I'm glad it's decided and now we can try again. Please don't be sad for me. I've been blessed to have met you all and in a way experienced this too. Thanks for all your support. xx I gave my son an extra big hug - I'm surely blessed to have what I have, and god willing, I'll be on my way with baby no3 soon. I'm happy, and wishing you all lovely healthy pregnancies and bouncy babies in Nov!!
I am sorry to twinkle and others (sorry can't remember your names sorry) - may we meet again on another thread!!

Here it ends for me. xx

Divedaisy, so sorry. xx Good luck for the future.

bubbaz · 06/04/2008 22:08

Divedaisy, so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself and good luck xx

Emmanj · 06/04/2008 22:26

divedaisy, wishing you lots of hugs, xx

pinkyminky - thanks for the queasyness tips, will deff try some of those

browny · 06/04/2008 22:26

Divedaisy, so sorry to hear your sad news , I wish you lots of luck for when you decide to try again xx.

lackaDAISYcal · 06/04/2008 22:31

divedaisy, so sorry to hear this . All the best for the future and hopefully we'll see you on the pg after mc thread very soon.

I've been away for the easter hols (visitng rellies and friends in Scotland) and there is waaaaaaaay too much to catch up on!

Hi to all the newbies.

Creena, how are you? did the spotting settle itself down?

Roca, sainsbury's and morrison's both do their own brand ginger biscuits. The morrison's ones have big ginger chinks in and are really nice

can i make a wee suggestion about the ever present list? when i was on the june 07 AN thread, we had a separate thread called "june 07 statistics". It kept all the numbers and lists away from the main thread and made it a lot easier to read. I've spent ages trying to catch up, but the endless repetition of the list makes it very hard going and I'm sure I've missed some important stuff.

anyway, just a thought!

Creena · 06/04/2008 22:46

Oh, Divedaisy. I'm so very sorry to hear your news. It's great that you're being positive and looking forward to the future but I have to say that I am sad to see you go and I will miss you!

Heartmum2jamie - thanks for those tips. I will have a look at those when I get a chance. I'm probably being premature anyway as the buyers who were meant to be putting an offer in on our house have now decided that they want to come for another viewing first. GAH.

lackaDAISYcal - good to see you! I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were. I'm not too bad, ta. I still get the odd bit of spotting but nowhere near as much as I was before. Sometimes it's pink, other times red and other times brown. I think I'll probably spot on and off for a while, to be honest. Am just getting on with it for now - have got my dating scan in 3 weeks although I might arrange a nuchal scan for before then.

I think the idea about the list is a great one! It'll be easier to keep track of the most current version and we can concentrate on heavy duty chattage here! Let's face it, the list is so huge and unwieldly now, it needs a home of its own!

mummyhill · 07/04/2008 06:56

Morning.

Divedaisy so sorry to hear your news but am glad they didn't make you wait around any more.

Browny you will have to come along to the meet up when we get round to sorting it out. We usually meet somewhere like Trentham Gardens and let the kids run round a bit.

dozymare · 07/04/2008 07:43

Ah divedaisy I am really sorry and sad to hear your news. Like Twinkling before you, your positivity and dignity are humbling. I wish you all the best....

Agree about the other list, I have had to update it a few times as when people change their dats they are copying an older thread rather than the latest updated one. Still, should settle down soon though once we have our scans and due dates confirmed....

We did start another list called Due in November 2008...predictions...maybe we could use that??! I'm not to sure how to link up to it though.....someone else did if for me!

Have a good day

DM x

Oblomov · 07/04/2008 07:56

Divedaisy, we are all so sorry for your loss. We send big hugs to you.

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 09:11

divedaisy, i am in awe by your attitude, thoughts are with you. x

Is aqnyone havibg a prob with drinking? I used to drink lads of water and just cant stomach it. Im only drinking lemonade and a glass or 2 of OJ. Is this really bad??

Also yesterday my belly felt like it was on fire inside... what is that?? I felt v sick and it wasnt hot to touch.

Pinkali37 · 07/04/2008 09:25

Divedaisy - am really sorry for your loss.

I am off for a scan today at 12.30 and have been in floods of tears all weekend. Boobs are not very tender at all and I fear the worse. I really don't know how everyone is so strong. I just feel like I can't cope anymore with the loss and expectations. All i want is a healthy baby..

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 09:28

poor you pink. Try to be strong and let us know how you get on x

cricri · 07/04/2008 09:42

Daisy So sorry to hear your sad news I am also impressed with your positive attitude and good luck with ttc. Hopefully see you again very soon (((Hugs))) to you.
Mad4mybaby I've also gone off water and I used to drink loads of the stuff too. I find drinking fizzy water helps. I guess as long as you're getting fluids from somewhere then it doesn't really matter. Hopefully it's only temporary
Newtotheplanet I'm also taking Nux Vom and it does help with the ms. My homeopath made me a super strong dose and I take it at regular intervals throughout the day. Fortunately she said it's impossible to overdose on it!
Pinkyminky Thanks for the tips on dealing with ms. I hadn't made the link between sitting still and being more active, but it makes sense as I do feel better at the weekend when I'm not sat at my desk all day.
Hello to everybody else.

cricri · 07/04/2008 09:44

Pinkali Sorry, X-posted with you. Good luck with the scan later. It is nerve-wracking, but fingers crossed everything will be fine. Let us know how you get on.

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 09:46

cricri, i have some of the homeopath stuff, how much do you take and HOW do you take it? Under your tongue or in water?

oliviaelanasmum · 07/04/2008 09:54

Hi all,
Well i have finally been allowed to make a booking in appointment with the mw but it's not until 16th!!
The thing is i think i may actually be due in october as we have tried to work out my lmp and think it may have been around 20th of jan making me 11 weeks now, so by the time i actually get my scan i could be 14 weeks

serendippity · 07/04/2008 10:10

mad4mybaby Fizzy water definatly helps me. i wouldn't worry too much for now tho- tbh i think the first 3 months you just do whatever you need to feel better then start worrying about eating and drinking the "right" things Re burning pain, could it be hunger? i get that if i've not eaten.
creena no advice i'm afraid, i'm in Cambs. I did used to live in Shropshire tho!
pinkali everything crossed for you scan.
browny floors are essential unfortunatly, big dog = big muddy paw prints EVERYWHERE he was out for 2 hours in the end tho so i sat down for a while as well
divedaisy I'm so sorry, wish you all the best for the future.

Not feeling too bad today, tho dd did invade my bedroom at 8.30am and starting jumping on the bed shudder
Boobs agony tho! bloody dog keeps coming up and banging them when i'm sitting down, dd keeps sitting on them, oh and yesterday when she was sitting on my lap, she levered herself up by putting her full weight through her elbow straight into my right one! i almost threw her accross the sofa- it was agony.
School starts again tomorrow- yay! Unfortunatly ballet also starts tonight, which means dd and i have a 40 minute walk there and 40 minute walk back must...scrape...butt...off...sofa...

Tinkerisdead · 07/04/2008 10:23

Divedaisy im so sorry for your news, your positivity is humbling x

Creena where in cambs are you? I just moved from Peterborough to leics.

I was going to ask about drinks on here too, I can just about sip lemondade or citrus squash but previously i could gulp it down and felt good that i knew at least i was getting fluids. Now sipping drinks is a real struggle. at leats it means i dont wee as much!

I have an my independant midwife coming tonight so Im looking forward to discussing all my options with her, def going for a homebirth. Although my MIL thinks homebirth means going back to my hometown?!!!!

serendippity · 07/04/2008 11:09

did you mean me not creena? if you did i'm in Cherry Hinton in Cambs

cricri · 07/04/2008 11:10

Mad4mybaby Sorry, missed your post earlier about homeopathic remedies. I place 2 of the little pills under my tongue and just allow them to dissolve (don't crunch them).

Tinkerisdead · 07/04/2008 11:35

sorry serendippity yes i meant you:-) ive got a tiler here whilst i curl up on the sofa and i wish he's hurry up and go!! he was asking me something whilst i typed message. DH told him i was ill on the sofa and then i got some salt and vinegar crisps and he was "thought you were ill" cheek!! not gonna tell some tiler im pregnant if my own brother doesnt know yet!! argghhh!

cherry hinton closer to cambridge yes? i miss being over there now i'm in Leics and know no-one! hoping this baby will open up a new social network really!

mad4mybaby · 07/04/2008 12:23

serendippity PMSL bout your boobs! Sorry but that was funny! You sound like me but my pain comes and goes. They dont look any bigger but bra is starting to dig in now.
