hey dozy - I actually have to thank you for mentioning the rice and cheese again - it has helped me decide what to have for dinner tonight!

I had an afternoon snack of a few handfuls of green salad and feta cheese - what's all that about?

Evening everyone.

I would love to be able to say I look pregnant from this time round but that would just be the 6 month bumb look I have left over from the last 2!

Honestly, after this one I will be a a size 10 within a week (currently a 16!) but I think I defo have that disease where you lose loads after a 3rd child....

pinkyminky · 03/04/2008 20:39

ceebeee with you on the salt thing- marmite on everything!
I effectively lost my job because of my last pg. I worked freelance for a few main clients and I had three really nice long term part time contracts when I went back after DS, but I had to give them up because I was too sick. But for my first pg I worked until about a week before my due date- mainly doing layouts at my studio here at home for the last few weeks but I was glad of the distraction.

Roca · 03/04/2008 20:40

oopsie - sorry divedaisy - will have just upset. Have been thining about you this week waiting for your scan tomorrow.

I have everything crossed for you. You better make sure you stay with us now girl!

pinkyminky · 03/04/2008 20:47

Dozy don't think I use cream, but do you not sprinkle liberal quantities of parmesan in at the end of cooking?
But seriously, I'm thinking very positive thoughts for you.

mummyhill · 03/04/2008 20:48

Marmite on toast morning noon and night.
Corn on the cob with loads of butter and black pepper.

We are having cottage pie tonight.

A friend was asking me about prams today, I have told her that I will take her to look at some with me after my scan. Still waiting for a date to come through for that if it is not here by my MW app next week I will be hoping up and down shouting!

dozymare · 03/04/2008 20:49

Divedaisy - good luck for tomorrow....am thinking of you and hope hope hope you are going to be ok...I need my YUCK to cheese and rice buddy

I actually love risotto - but only put a tiny bit of parmaggiano (shockingly can spell it in Italian but not English, what an utter knob I am!!)

I just keep imagining white rice with lots of cheddar on top and that really does make me want to chuck, erm you know what!!

Am thinking I might have peanut butter on toast for my bedtime snack...is that allowed?!!

DM x

dozymare · 03/04/2008 20:51

Hi Pinmkyminky - thanks for your post on positive thoughts for me - but it is Divedaisy who needs our positive vibes for her scan tomorrow, so chuck them at her for now!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are getting us mixed up as we both can'tbear the thought of rice and cheese!!!

DM x

pinkyminky · 03/04/2008 20:54

I just realized my mistake!
Maybe I should be dozyminky

Heartmum2Jamie · 03/04/2008 21:08

Divedaisy Wishing you lots of luck at your scan tomorrow, I will hold you and your little bean/pea in my thoughts

Ceebee & Roca, I am with you both on the salty food, anything salty is good to me. I am loving plain crips, Mashed taties with salt & butter and I really, really wanted tortilla chips earlier but forgot to order them with the shopping. I almost never salt my food normally, not even my cooking, but I have been recently! Might explain why i am more thirsty too.

I have to admit, I am not sure that I like the sound of rice & cheese. We ended up with pasta for dinner today with grated cheese on top. Was very nice but I am sure the heartburn will kick in just in time for bed, just like it did yesterday, lol! At least I got a decent chunk of sleep last night as made it to 4am before I needed to wee.

Now for my brilliant news for today: My baby has a ............ HEARTBEAT!! I was messing with my rental doppler earlier and was about to give up and put it away until I was 10 weeks when I stumbled upon it by accident. It is the most wonderful sound, I fell completely head over heels in love already!

So, for your listening pleasure, may I introduce you to Iggle Piggle's (long story!) heartbeat!

Ceebee I am with you on the cheese, mainly chessey mash with peas but I did treat myself to chip shop chips with cheese and gravy tonight yum!

Hi to everyone else

Heartmum2Jamie · 03/04/2008 21:16

Just realised that link doesn't work. Grrr, I hate photobucket sometimes!

Divedaisy - sending you lots and lots of positive vibes for tomorrow

HM2J - I can't access it - do I need to register to be able to listen? How marvellous and I love the name - I think my DS would be thrilled to have a brother called IgglePiggle

Glad I am not alone on the salt/cheese craving. I never ever put salt in my food so it is really strange that I am desperate for it now.

Weird - was absolutely absolutely starving before the pizza arrived - tucked into some garlic mushrooms first and then started on the pizza. Ate 2 slices and felt full so managed another one and was stuffed - it is now half an hour later and I am starving again - and DH ate all the pizza that was left so I can't go back and finish it....grrr!

Rigth, am off to bed with my Closer mag

Gosh Twinkling - you've got a strong head on you. So sorry for what's happened to you. I had a D and C (actually ERPOC) last August the day after finding out my baby had died and was glad to not have to wait. The procedure was absolutely straightforward although I was petrified - as I've not had any kind of surgery or medical issue since I was 6! I came out of the surgery feeling amazing, like I'd slept fora week, I felt so refreshed. The next few months were tough and I was emotionally very wobbly, which surprised me a lot and it took months to physically recover from having been pregnant which was a real drag. But time really does heal. The only effect now is that I feel really anxious about this pregnancy - a feeling I'd not had before.

Hope your recovery goes well and sending you big hugs

bubbaz · 03/04/2008 21:30

HM2J oh wow that is amazing

divedaisy · 03/04/2008 21:45

Heartmum the cut and paste link gets you to the video, but I'm afraid I didn't hear anything! Sorry to say.

Listen gals, thank you all so much for your support, it's good to know I have friends here. I can talk to my hubby, but he's worried too and says 'It'll be OK' - I'd rather he said outright that 'I'm worried too', but who has a man who says things like that!? Well, I have to be here for my anti rice and cheese buddy, Dozy - I too imagine white rice with cheddar cheese on top. Strange cos I do like cheese with rice when served with Bolegnaise (spelling???) - does that count? Oh and I also like small amounts of macaronni cheese. OH and Dozy - I'm with you too regarding peanut butter on toast - but I add jam and banana too - try it YUMYUM!!

I cooked pizza tonight - too long in the oven. Needed a chainsaw to cut it!! The good thing - the extra green finger chillies I put on it!

Tescos do a tube of popadoms (like Pringles crisp tube) and they come in black pepper and dipped into spicey mango chutney is just delicious!

Also like tescos strawberry mouses/moouses/mouuses/mousses - how the F**K do you spell that - the frothy desert! Or is that dessert???!! AAARRRGGGHHHH Why is English so hard at times!! OH and cinamon and raisin bagels with lashings of real butter!!!! I could go on!

Anyhow, sorry bout the long post - just trying to make it to page 21!!HAHA!! - but my belly is exploding out of my trousers! Esp at night - it's disgusting seeing this big flabby thing hanging out! That'll put you rice and cheese heads right off it with that image!! Strange, cos even though I fancy all of the above, I'm really not eating that much. So when I say all that, Bump must be hopefully OK........ I'll let you all know when I get time tomorrow!

PS SOrry for the long post xx

divedaisy · 03/04/2008 21:49

Bubbaz how did you hear it??

Rennaisance glad your well healed. I thonk it's only natural to feel anxious after experiencing a loss. How many weeks are you now? Hope fully I'll be 7 tomorrow (fingers, eyes, toes, arms and legs all crossed!)

divedaisy · 03/04/2008 21:57

I think I'll rename Bump to Upsy-Daisy (Iggle Piggles wee friend!) if I get a heartbeat 2moro. ANyway off to bed with my excelent book. Nite nite xx

Roca · 03/04/2008 21:57

hm2j - just heard your baby's heart beat!!!! WOW!!!!!! How many weeks are you - I don't get how you can hear it so early when I only could from 13 wks with the midwife. Where did you hire the machine? (I MUST not get one or will be obsessed though!)

bubbaz · 03/04/2008 21:59

I copied and pasted the link from HM2J and just clicked on play. We possibly have different sound cards (Is that right???) if you can see the video playing but can't hear it - I really have no clue how computers work to be honest its usually me that can't get what everyone else can LOL.

Renaissancewoman · 03/04/2008 22:02

I'm 9 weeks now. Time is going sooooo slowly. I've got a fibroid which is pressing on the yolk sac and next few weeks are touch and go. I need my baby to get bigger than the fibroid - about the size of a golf ball and then it'll be ok. And I'm finding it hard to keep busy to take my mind off it as I feel so sick, head throbs, am irritable and only feel comfortable for a few hours in the morning or else lying down!!

Am eating a hell of a lot, enjoying fried eggs and tinned tomotoes on toast - I always go for this when pregnant and lots of home made soup when I can remain upright for long enough to make it!

dozymare · 04/04/2008 07:30

Divedaisy good luck today........thinking of you and upsy daisy!! Let us know how you get on and we can celebrate with mashed banana and peanut butter on toast!!!!!!

DM xx

Oblomov · 04/04/2008 07:42

Good luck Divedaisy.
I am with Jamie & Roca on the love of salty things. I am craving stodge and carbs, Jacket pots, potatoes, crisps, mind you that is my normal diet - ha ha. But it was very pronounced with ds. Aren't I supposed to be craving different things, if I am , having a girl, whereas I had a boy before ????
I too, am in with dozy and divedaisy on the 'rice and cheese haters' - I men yuk, sounds revolting, I just don't get it.
We have been getting offers of baby things already!! My sil offered dh her lovely ( VERY expensive) cot and highchair. All seems a bit early to be thinking of all that kind of stuff. Anyone else been offered anything already ?

cricri · 04/04/2008 08:34

Good luck for today Divedaisy, will be thinking of you. Do let us know how you get on!
Oblomov My friend had a baby 8 weeks ago and has already started offering me all her newborn stuff! She's also offered me her pg pillow and loads of other stuff when her baby grows out of them. DH and I won't need to buy anything at this rate Having an actual baby still seems a bit surreal to me though (this is my first DC). And after mc last time I'm still taking it one day at a time. 2 weeks and 3 days until my scan!

juanitad · 04/04/2008 12:33

HM2J, I couldn't hear it either unfortunately, but am dying to! Any advice on how I can access it, or is my computer just too rubbish?!!

By the way, what on earth has been going on with MN this morning?!!

mad4mybaby · 04/04/2008 12:36
