I have ordered a digi, should come tomorrow. Won't know till then i guess. I thought the CB today was a pos+, but others on MN disagree.

JollyBear · 22/04/2008 15:47

Looks positive to me sureits3! Good luck for tomorrow.

Someone just came into my office and I really hope they didn't notice my trousers were undone . I had my top pulled over them! I'm going to have to buy some new clothes if this bloating continues

Disenchanted · 22/04/2008 15:56

PMSL, jolly bear!

I am actully in maternity trousers already! My belly is huge! Non of my trousrers fit

Ill get DH to take a photo for you all to laugh at!

sureitsno3 · 22/04/2008 15:59

Would you all take that test as a pos+ then? a definate, bear in mind i haven't come on my AF was due yesterday.

minster · 22/04/2008 16:09

Hi Everyone,
In sort of reply to Poisondwarf I am 8+2 and still waiting for scan appt, for midwife appt and to actually see anyone. I saw my GP 2 weeks ago and all she's done is book me in for this thursday to 'fill in my forms'. Big sigh. As I'm 40 we discussed having a CVS which means I have to go to a different hospital for my scan and I'm just waiting. Until you start seeing people you just kind of feel like it's all in your head and a bit unreal (apart from feeling sick all the time of course!). As it's not my first pregnancy I suppose I'm quite so anxious about waiting but I wish they'd all get a blinkin' move on!

pwcbird · 22/04/2008 16:34

ps: I just remembered that for my first pregnancy I actually didn't see a midwife until I was 16 weeks! The first thing I had was my 12 week scan. Maybe it's just me!!

IceCube · 22/04/2008 17:13

On the subject of appointments I've been given a midwife booking in appointment when I'm 10 weeks.

Trouble is the midwife does the hospital referal for scans etc so I'm a bit concerned I won't get my first scan at 12 weeks. By the time she's refered me they're bound to be booked up for several weeks

MaeWest · 22/04/2008 18:45

I phoned the surgery last week and they said to make a booking appt with midwives at 10 weeks (seems an age away). Last time round they didn't offer a 12 week scan in my health authority, but seems that they do now.

Mild nausea today, but was combined with being driven down winding Devon lanes and an empty stomach. Eating everything starch in sight at the mo... Sympathies to those of you with severe sickness, I know how lucky I am!

toratora · 22/04/2008 18:53

Finally got round to making an appointment to see my GP about the pregnancy - think that I am between 7 and 8 weeks, no idea of dates really! So am going tomorrow afternoon and hoping that they will offer me an early scan for dating (also for reassurance as I had a MC at the end of Feb)

Feel so so tired all the time, I struggle to do anything during the day, on Sunday I was earlier than the dd's and went to bed at 6pm
Hope everyone else is doing well.

snowwombat · 22/04/2008 19:13

My goodness what very busy girls you are! Hello to all the recent BFPs and my thoughts are with those who have left the thread. I am so sorry littlemissdaisy and littleprincess

I am 8 weeks today, first appointment with the madwife midwife at 9+3 (fingers and toes crossed). The first scan can be booked after that appointment but they have said 11 weeks at the earliest.

First spew on the weekend, but usually just feel v weary and nauseated. Ginger cordial and rice cakes making things a little easier!

Bisou , I am another Australian, but currently living on the Shropshire/Welsh border. We are coming back to Sydney in a few months. I am still very cautious, but if all goes well for the next 32 weeks, I will be nearest to RPA or Royal Women's. I have absolutely no idea about maternity services in Sydney.Any info gratefully received!

rosmerta · 22/04/2008 19:56

hi all,

Welcome to all the new BFPs!

littlemissdaisy am so sorry, hope you get chance to rest.

Well, I really have to curb my sweet tooth. After a couple of weeks of chocolate/sugar making me feel sick, its passed now & I can't keep away from the stuff. I've already put weight on and its not the baby!

ChutneyMary · 22/04/2008 20:10

Hi everyone

Littlemissdaisy and littleprincess, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. hope to see you back on the board again soon.

Sureits3, get thee a digital test woman! I have never used an ebay cheapie, but it seems that lots of people who are defintely pregnant get only faint results on them. I used a first response one with DD2, which can detect your pg from 4 days before. I was 4 days over, so it was now or never! Best of luck and let us know how you get on.

My fellow sicknotes , how have you been today? I have been OK on and off - had a glorious hour at lunchtime when I felt fine, and polished off some hummous and pitta. Came to regret that about 2 hours later though. Ice lollies are helping, and I am taking Floradix (iron supp) as that is supposed to make you less tired.

Am off to the Dr's tomorrow. hoping to blag an early scan as I don't really know the dates. Am also going to try to wing my way to Tommy's rather than KCH. Chances are practically nil but never mind, it's worth a try.

See you later.

ChutneyMary - does the iron supplement help with tiredness, I'm been absolutley exhausted since before I even knew I was pregnant.

Haven't really had MS as yet but if I don't get 2 hours to sleep on the sofa in the afternoon I'm a zombie all evening.

ChutneyMary · 22/04/2008 20:34

I don't know IceCube, but I figured it can't hurt. Anaemia does make you tired, as does early pg, so I reckon the 2 of them together would be awful. I don't know I am anaemic, but I am very pale and often tired when not pg so I thought it worth a go.

If you go for it too, don't buy floradix liquid. It is a shocker and makes me gag when not pg.

nandos · 22/04/2008 21:35

Hello everyone!
havent been online for so long since i went for a short vacation last week ..
how is everyone doing? hopefully all are well
btw anyone who had previous/current pregnancy have no symptoms whatsoever? i am worried it might be something else if there is no morning sickness/sore bbs etc..
anywayz have a good sleep tonight everybody! goodnight

bcsnowpea · 22/04/2008 21:44

morning ladies

nandos my only symptoms so far have been about a week of nausea and lots of tiredness. Considering how much I have on my plate, the sleepiness is easily explainable. Also, no sore boobs like last time, instead they've finally dried up (ds weaned himself about 8 months ago).

So this fatigue isn't doing me any favours. I was hoping to finish an essay last night, but at about 6 I was exhausted. What can a 2 hour nap hurt? 12 hours later...
I guess I'll be pulling out all the stops today, as it's due tomorrow, and I also have a psych quiz. Eek!

mibbes · 22/04/2008 22:14

littlemissdaisy sorry to hear that this has happened to you again, surely they will investigate now, {{{big hugs}}} xx
sureitsno3 there is defo a faint line there which means BFP surely ! Good luck with the CBD.
disenchanted come on post that photo !
Am glad others are having swollen bellies already too ! I have been blaming food but there is definitely a wee pot there that doesn't disappear when I suck in ! The books say that you should feel your middle 'thicken' at 9 weeks so I keep thinking if I can make it until then I'm doing ok, am concerned that if was already getting big at 7 weeks then I'll be like a whale by the end... anyway I'll just shut up now and be grateful that am not sick and have nice big boobies !
nandos welcome back - IKWYM about no symtpoms, it is quite disconcerting. I am actually clinging onto the swollen tum and boobies as a good sign, just pray they are not down to too many sweets..

march29 · 22/04/2008 22:36

my symptoms so far have been extreme tiredeness, nausea and heartburn. i am not sure how far gone i am its still really early. my last af was on 25th march so is that like week 3?? not sure.

minster · 23/04/2008 08:09

I had an awful night - so sick I couldn't sleep, then vomiting, then diarrhoea, then a splodege of blood mixed in with CM. DH completely freaked out & I feel like shit.

There's been nothing since (I've checked repeatedly), boobs are sore & I still feel sick, the cramps I'vd had for the last week seem to be better(ish) though. Still 3 weeks 'til my scan

Disenchanted · 23/04/2008 08:29

Morning,

will post the photo later, am off to stay and play with the little ones in a minute.

Can I ask when the sickness kicked in for those who have it?

I had awful sickness with DS1 and quite bad sickness with DS2 but nothing upto now, which is worrying me a bit.

Ive even been able to wash greasy pans without wanting to throw up!

Its actully worrying me!!

Maybe its a girl?! lol

artichokes · 23/04/2008 09:08

Minster - sorry to hear about your terrible night. If you wre violently sick and had diahorrea then the blood may have been a small broken capillery that broke while you were retching or straining (tmi - sorry). I hope its nothing to worry about.

Disenchanted - I started feeling sick exaclty a week ago. So 5.5 weeks. With DD it was more like 7 weeks.

I feel terrible this morning. Really nauseous and achey and tried. I also have diahorrea. Don't know if it is all pregnancy related or aggrevated by a bug. I have dragged myself to work and have a meeting in 15 mins that I am not sure I will get through . I am really not coping with this sickness . I keep crying and I feel soooooo bad.

AllieBongo · 23/04/2008 09:14

I'm only 7 weeks and I can feel a definite bump to just under my button. Anyone else got this or am just really bloated with wind??

minster · 23/04/2008 09:34

artichokes poor you - that's pretty much how I feel, I think it might be a bug, my guts are churning & I need to run to the loo every 5 minutes.

I hoping the blood was from my cervix.
