Boring stuff about me:
Me 31
DH 34
DS 8 and DD3
I work part-time as a virtual PA.
I love reading, gardening and of course my gorgeous family.
I feel as sick as a pig and my boobs (but only my boobs) are the size of Jordan's. I have lost weight as I cannot stomach any chocolate or sweet stuff, but I love potato based food

pwcbird · 20/04/2008 16:08

Hi there,
Me: 40 (yikes - am I the oldie here?)
DH: 39
DC: DS 20 months
Hometown: Croydon ish
Job: SAHM
Things I love: Cooking, Shopping (though don't get to do that much anymore), dancing (and that too save with DS to numerous Cbeebies themetunes), chatting, reading, sometimes writing.

I've had to go out and by DDcup bras (normally a c). They are giant (the bras and the boobs). Just want to graze on bad food all day (such as biscuits) and don't feel like eating a proper meal or vegetables as feeling so nauseous. Burping all day (anyone else??). DH calls me Lady Burpalot!

mummy2olivia · 20/04/2008 16:47

Ended up in A&E today with pain in my side. eek!! Panic over though- gorgeous sexy dr had a good prod and turns out that its just my muscles stretching. Feels sore though- just under my boob and round my hip- was convinced it was ectopic but thank god- he says no. Must stop panicking, must stop panicking.....

Bought a lovely maternity bra today- boobs feel much better now!!

Thats it now- after todays drama I'm convincing myself that I am going to have a baby. No point keep worrying and upsetting myself. Can everybody help me and send me some positive mental attitude please???

mummy2olivia · 20/04/2008 16:48

In fact- the sore muscloe in my side feels rock hard!! really tense and tender. must have overdone shopping yesterday....

kayzisexpecting · 20/04/2008 17:37

I am so glad to hear you are ok mummytoolivia I will send you loads of positive thoughts!!!!!
Try and relax as much as you can.

MaeWest · 20/04/2008 17:57

evening all, hello to all the new people

Another good place for maternity/feeding bras is Bravissimo. I went to them last time and they said 'right, you're going to go up 2 sizes so get one in this size & a couple in this size and you'll be sorted'. And they were spot on! They also do online ordering but its worth getting measured by them first (which they do just by looking, no tape!).

hiccymapops at swapping!

Kayz if you manage to read this before tomorrow, have a great trip. Btw, there's a Bravissimo in Covent Garden if you want to go see them.

artichokes · 20/04/2008 19:29

Evening all

Mummy2Olivia - glad you are OK.
Kayz - have a fab trip to London

Well my nausea has been terrible today. Really, really horrid. Worse than I remember with DD. I even woke up in the night with it. I hate this feeling, I really, really do . I have previously suffered badly from emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and while I am alot better now I still find MS really hard to deal with.

I hope everyone else is feeling less sick than me . I am off to eat a pizza as the only moments I don't feel terrible are the ones where I am actually in the process of eating.

kutilputil · 20/04/2008 20:26

hi, so sorry to hear about your ms Artichokes, welcome to the nasty boat MrsMattie an d i have been riding for a while!i hope you jump off soon and feel better.
i cant remember the last meal i had as am nibbling on food here and there like an ant!
MrsMattie, you mentioned sometime back that you were told to get your blood sugar levels checked at A&E?was that your gps advice?as my gps says dont worry...he is a bloke! and even when i told him that i am not evening able to drink water he did not seem surprised or much bothered and i feel like SHIT!sorry to use bad language but i wish i could shout that out so all the so called wellwidhers around me would just shut up!anyway...i'm blabbering on...but the point was i feel so weak, unwell and unhappy and cannot see how i can resolve this, i've been told to ride it out...but how long will it last?soMrsMattie, did you get yourself checked out?what did they say?hope you and al of those ladies who are feeling terrible arefeeling a little better now.

hiccymapops · 20/04/2008 21:00

Evening everyone

mummy2olivia im glad everything's okay, sendind LOADS of positive thoughts

artichokes i'm exactly the same for the last 2 weeks i've been feeling nauseous on and off, but since Friday it just hasn't gone at all. I couldn't even sleep last night with it (i've even got a bowl under the bed now!) The only time it seems to ease up is when i'm nibbling at something. At this rate i'll be the size of a house!

Hope everyone's okay xxx

hiccymapops · 20/04/2008 21:01

sending!!! Read before posting!

LittlePeanut · 20/04/2008 22:15

Positive thoughts to you mummy2olivia. Did they give you a scan?

mummy2olivia · 20/04/2008 22:26

No scan. But he said if there is an ectopic the pain is lower down, nearly in your groin and I would have bled and be doubled up. Thankfully was none of those.

When he pressed the spot where the pain is it made me jump- its like a mega tense knotted muscle.

mummy2olivia · 20/04/2008 22:46

DH has given me a lovely massage with Therapy bar from Lush- WOW!!! very chilling.

He couldnt believe how hard and tense my side was but now after using that it feels loads better.

fruitbowl · 20/04/2008 23:00

hello pwcbird, from fellow oldie, I'm 40 in a few weeks! Don't want to give other personal info at mo as I know a few people on here and it's early days yet. I'm burping too - charming innit??

southernbelle77 · 21/04/2008 06:37

Well the nausea has certainly started to kick in now! Kind of glad and then of course kind of not as it's not pleasant. At least it means things are going ahead as they should be though! Think I'll have to buy some bread sticks or something. I remember them working quite well with dd.

Hope everyone else is ok. Hi to Jollybear and feb - my due date buddies, lol!

Still got lots to learn about you all. Glad your massage seemed to help mummyolivia.

missmama · 21/04/2008 06:56

Morning all, Wow we are a load of chatterboxes.

I love coming on here and reading about it all happening as I have only told DH and best friend so far. I really am dreading telling my Mum - I have no idea what she will think about it.

Had a lovely birthday weekend. My sister wanted to take me out for sushi as she does every year, had to tell her I did not fancy it at all (It is my absolute favorite thing in the whole world). Then I made a fuss over what I wanted to drink when we got there, needed to be fizzy, no sugar, no caffene, no alcohol. She has never been pregnant or she might have guessed!

Ok More about me (Cor I am all me me me this morning)

Me: 37
DH: 42
DC: DS1 10 in a couple of weeks
DS2 7
Hometown: Birmingham
Job: SAHM, student, volunteer (just pick. It depends what day you ask )

I have no morning sickness, just an iffy tummy in the mornings, which if I remember correctly is right for me - its been a while!

snorris · 21/04/2008 07:47

Morning!
Had to get up early as dd1 is going on a school trip to London for 3 days (watch out London ).

More about me-

Me: 37
Dh: 42
DC: DD1-12,DTwinDs-4 and DD4-2
Job: SAHM
I enjoy riding (I have 2 ponies and a 1/2 share in a cob) and reading (when I get time!)

I don't really get MS (sorry ) but I have felt even less sick this time. Don't know whether to be worried or maybe this one's a boy!

artichokes · 21/04/2008 09:16

Morning all,

And a special good morning to my partners in sickness Allibongo, Kutil, Hiccymapops, Southernbelle and MissMattie. Who has stared at the toilet bowl for longest this morning???? I am still feeling crap. Last time it lasted 'til 17 weeks so I suppose I better get used to it.

A good friend had her first baby this morning. It has made me all excited. She had a little girl at 7am, weighing 6lbs 4oz after a 4 hour labour. I am pretty jealous as I took 36 hours to push out 9lbs 4oz DD...

ChutneyMary · 21/04/2008 09:26

Morning all

Artichokes, you had better add me to the list of sickies. It has now kicked in and I feel crap. I am off work today and my head is pounding, I feel all achey and sore throaty and I feel queasy as hell to boot! Moan, moan, moan. Sorry about that. Hope all the other sickies are doing OK.

I am one of the older ladies on the thread as I am 38, DH 40. I have 2 DDs aged 3 and 1. I work PT as a lawyer when I am not feeling ill. Live in SE london (Dulwich).

Back later.

hattyyellow · 21/04/2008 09:44

I want sickness! Well, I don't really and I'm so sorry for those of you feeling rotten I'm just worried it doesn't feel that real at the moment!

Although with my last pregnancy I was okay with sickness, I just felt nauseous when I got hungry. My tummy feels very hard and my boobs keep twinging and I feel quite brain dead which is all normal for me in pregnancy!

My biggest battle is tiredness, particulary as I'm trying to stay off caffeine and my DD's have decided to start waking up 7 times a night the last few nights . I'm really struggling at work today.

Disenchanted still laughing out loud at your husband dragging lids down the street!

hattyyellow · 21/04/2008 09:48

Sorry missed out my vital stats:

Katie3677 · 21/04/2008 10:22

Somehow managed to drop off the list (hope that is not a bad sign) so have added myself back on. Totally guessing at EDD though as my cycles have been all over the place for the last few months.

Nolda · 21/04/2008 10:29

Morning everyone, I've been offline for a week and I've been trying to catch up with all the posts but it's been really busy on this thread. Hello to all the new people .

I'm starting to feel really nauseous now but haven't actually been sick yet. It's particularly bad in the evening and I've decided to eat supper with my DD daughter this week and not wait for DH to come home from work. I'll probably go to bed at the same time as DD too as I feel so tired (great for me but not sure how good for relationship!!). I felt like this until 14 weeks last time so another 7 weeks to go! I shouldn't grumble though as I know it could be an awful lot worse.

A few personal details:

Me: soon to be 39
DH: 36
DD: 21 months
Lives: near Southampton
Work: SAHM
Likes: music, reading, walking.

feb · 21/04/2008 10:29

Hello all you Yorkshire ladies, good to see some Northerners on the normally London-centric MN!
and hello to my date buddies!
Am feeling really sick, which is strange as am only 4+3 and in previous pgs didn't get much sickness at all and not till much later.
Feeling really nervous because my last pg ended at 15 weeks. early scans hadn't shown any problems so it wasn't until i had some bleeding that Dr diagnosed chromosomal abnormality. I know my scans aren't going to be much of a reassurance unless i can get the consultant to do them again.

Also, a question for you all. How many pg tests have you done? i did one on Friday that was BFP but v faint, am going to test again this week when i get round to buying another test. anyway, enough rambling...
xx
