Katie I love Herefordshire - we went for a weekend to Hay on Wye a few years ago and loved it - it's such a beautiful drive through the countryside around there .

Right, am working and not mumsnetting for rest of morning!

hattyyellow · 21/04/2008 10:32

feb I've only done one test!

Can't bear to test again in case it's magically disappeared! I was convinced last time around that at the first scan they'd snigger and tell me I'd imagined the whole thing!

Fingers crossed for you this time around, hope it all works out okay.

sureitsno3 · 21/04/2008 10:37

What tests did you all use.

i am still getting faint BFP, but i need a bright one to believe it! and to sign up to this thread, AF due today but do not feel like its coming at all, loads of cm and i mean loads, feeling sickly still too.

feb · 21/04/2008 10:40

i used tescos own, as with previous pgs. tested on day AF was due.
have never used any others.

minster · 21/04/2008 10:46

I've used early tests from accessdiagnostics (10miu - tbh they're pretty crap, they never get dark but do detect bv. small levels of HCG), standard pound shop strips, Tesco own brand, a couple of normal clear blue & digis. The digital ones are really senitive - they came up pregant really quickly.

I have sore boobs - officially. Not sick but no appetite, which is probably a good thing - I'm hardly svelte

Have two more sticks left to pee on then I will not buy anymore.

I'm 33 as is dh
We have a son (18months) & daughter (7years)
Live somewhere near London
Dh is an IT contractor, I'm a SAHM/home educator/ex-medic
Likes - knitting, cooking, gardening, long walks by the sea (!)

sureitsno3 · 21/04/2008 10:48

Minster...They are the ones i have been using the 10 miu ones, just coming up with a very faint line.

I thought the digital ones were 50 miu.

minster · 21/04/2008 10:49

sureitsno3 do a digi - that's really the only time I (or dh) believed it.

I've got masses of CM too, I've had it in all my pregnancies, & I'm still really crampy.

sureitsno3 · 21/04/2008 10:51

They cost a bomb though don't they there is a pic on my profile of my faint line, i am just going to wait till the end of the week now, it is doing my head!

minster · 21/04/2008 10:52

sorry xposted - the 10iu never get dark - honestly I used them in my last pregnancy, I had a beta of 205 & still had to strain to see them. The digis (clearblue) are 25iu now (when they were first marketed they were 50iu) - they can detect lower thoug, my friend got a +ve on the same day she got a beta of 17.

minster · 21/04/2008 10:53

Oh sureitsno3 it's horrible isn't it - the Tesco ones were good & cheap (£4 for 4 I think) - they had a darker line than the strips did when dipped in the smae uine.

sureitsno3 · 21/04/2008 10:58

What i don't get is, women have some hcg in their system anyway don't they, so these faint lines i am getting on the 10 miu ones could it not just be that?

I will wait till Friday prob and if no show of AF will get a digi.

feb · 21/04/2008 10:59

Tesco ones are 25iu

Hi I havnt posted for a while as havnt been able to get onto mumsnet. I sadly lost my little beanie yesterday after lots of pain and blood loss over the last few days. I was 7 weeks and 3 days. I have removed myself from the list

I hope you all have very lucky and healthy pregnancies

Best wishes 1LP x

pwcbird · 21/04/2008 12:39

So so sorry 1LP. Sending you lots of hugs ooo

kutilputil · 21/04/2008 12:41

1littleprincess, i am devastated!we are almost at the same time....hope you are not too disheartened, it just wasn't meant to be.thankyou for the good wishes.take care.

rosmerta · 21/04/2008 13:19

1littleprincess, I'm so sorry , hope you feel better soon.

[hugs] to everyone with ms, hope you feel better soon.

hattyellow, I know what you mean about wanting/not wanting to feel sick, I've had a little bit of queasiness if I haven't eaten but even that seems to have passed.

mibbes · 21/04/2008 13:26

So sorry to hear of your loss 1LittlePrincess, take good care of yourself {{{hugs}}} xx
mummy2olivia glad to hear all is well and good job with your new Positive Mental Attitude
MS-Ladies, sorry you are all feeling so rotten
hatty IKWYM about being a wee bit of the MS-ladies. I am constantly worrying that no MS is a bad sign. And also my AF cramps have stopped for over a week, did anyone have this before ? Should the stretchy cramps keep happening ? They stopped at 7 weeks
I have tested loads of times with a variety, CB, CBD, First Response, LLoyds own brand, Sainsbury's own brand and an ubranded cheapie from the chemist . Sainsbury's own brand were cheap and gave a strong line.
Well although I have no MS to report I do have HUGE boobies ! They are bursting out of my bra and are quite tender when touched, so I suppose I feel more genuinely PG now as even DP has commented on the increased size (he is delighted!)

hattyyellow · 21/04/2008 14:30

I'm so sorry to hear your news littleprincess.

hattyyellow · 21/04/2008 14:33

Just booked in my first midwife appointment as apparently she is only there every fortnight and gets booked up very quickly. Can't see her until I'm 10 weeks apparently which is an eternity away!

Hate this feeling whenever I have to tell someone I'm pregnant that I've somehow jinxed it by doing so - even signing up for a new babycentre "what your baby's doing" newsletter had me biting my nails nervously!

Is anyone else as neurotic as me? I somehow feel that I've used up so much good luck by having such a smooth pregnancy with twins and getting to over 38 weeks with no problems that my luck might run out

.

Mibbes I remember my cramping and stretching faded a little after 6 weeks. I think your body gets a little more used to it so you notice it slightly less too? Hugs to you.

Katie3677 · 21/04/2008 14:51

1littleprincess I'm so sorry to hear about your news. Make sure you look after yourself and give yourself time to recover both mentally and physically.

I'm almost in denial at the moment as am so paranoid about having another mc.

hattyyellow · 21/04/2008 15:05

Sorry to hear that Katie it's a rotten stage at the start isn't it!

Just scrolling down the thread to before I got my BFP and I am reassured by lots of people feeling a bit scared and detached by it all. Sticky dust to us all!

Disenchanted · 21/04/2008 15:07

Sorry littleprincess

JollyBear · 21/04/2008 15:08

I'm so sorry 1littleprincess . Take care of yourself.

JollyBear · 21/04/2008 15:18

hatty I feel the same. I was going to sign up for the babycentre emails but chickened out at the last minute with nerves.

mummy2olivia got some great advice from someone (I've forgotten who it was!) on her thread on the pregnancy boards....

"Congrats on the pregnancy and I'll just pass on what I was told by another mnetter when I was 4wks pg after a missed miscarriage...

To quote...

"We can either be paranoid and miserable and wish our lives away for the next 8 weeks, which won't change the outcomes of our pregnancies, or we can be happy and celebrate that we are pregnant, and if the worst happens then we'll face it knowing that at least we had a few weeks of joy."

Amen!"

I think that is very good advice.

mibbes I've just got a new bra. Hurrah! My boobs are really sore but I haven't had any of the stretchy pains at all.

littlemissdaisy · 21/04/2008 15:20

I got my BFP on Saturday (CB Digital) only way to be sure I think, i am 4 +4 and due on 25th dec according to my LMP, am a little bit nervous as I am spotting slightly its very pale brown not red, has anyone else experienced this???
