BrightShinySun · 29/03/2008 17:37

llareggub just looking at your other thread and i would agree that you definitly cant get a false +ve,also if its possible your less than 14dpo then a false -ve is very common especially if you only waited two hours to pee!Grin

BrightShinySun · 29/03/2008 17:39

Oh and although id say with 3 positives already you've got to be pregnant if your dh comes back with a cbd...wait till your 1st morning wee!Grin

llareggub · 29/03/2008 17:45

LOL, BrightShinySun, my DH is nodding and saying you talk a lot of sense! Will update in the morning...

pixsix · 29/03/2008 18:11

Good luck for the morning llareggub

phee96 · 29/03/2008 18:22

BrightShinySun Thanks! Yeah it's exciting. Congrats to you all too!

pixsix I haven't been yet. I think I'm going to book an appointment soon though.

llareggub Good luck for the morning. It's so rare to get false +ve so my bet is that you are pregnant if you've had three +ve results

mibbes · 29/03/2008 20:41

welcome pixsix and phee I have added you to the list, I'll leave you to update the bits I don't know.
It is sooo exciting isn't it !
llareggub everything crossed for you tomorrow, FMU is definitely your best bet as more concentrated - good luck xx
Well I managed to pass off grape juice as red wine so hopefully my friends are none the wiser after this afternoon's 'drinking' session Wink

Quick crash for mibbes - just wanted to say YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! and CONGRATULATIONS! old cycle buddy! Grin Grin Grin
That is the most FANTASTIC news!!!!
Was just reading through your previous posts, 2 things: re the overwhelming hunder: the way I look at it is that if your tummy is rumbling etc then you're hungry and you should eat something. Doesn't matter if you only ate half an hour ago, if you're genuinely hungry then eat! Your body is doing some incredible things at the moment, trust what it tells you. And 2nd, Lesley Regan's book which is called somehting like 'Your Pregnancy Week by Week' is excellent. Hope you have a very uneventful 8 months ahead of you!!!
Really thrilled for all of you on here xxx

mibbes · 29/03/2008 22:37

Kate how sweet of you to pop in and give such positive vibes and advice when you are going through such a rough time. Emmsy pointed me in the direction of your posts the day I got BFP but it didn't feel right crashing the thread to wish you well. All I can say is that I am thinking of you and hoping against hope that the consultant is wrong. You have been through enough already, you so don't deserve this hun {{{{{big hugs}}}}} mibbes xx

mibbes · 29/03/2008 22:38

Oh and by the way I ordered a load of books from amazon and am pretty sure that is one of them . I can't wait for them to arrive Grin

llareggub · 30/03/2008 09:12

Hello folks

I did a pg test this morning and it is negative. Actually, the first one didn't work at all so I managed to squeeze out a little more wee to do the 2nd test. So it looks like I'm not pregnant after all. It is all very odd after the positive tests this week and I don't quite know what to make of it all. I haven't had any bleeding or pain so I'm going to go to the doctor next week. Good luck with the rest of the pregnancies, I'll look forward to hearing your birth announcements in December.

mibbes · 30/03/2008 10:19

llareggub so sorry to hear that. What type of test did you use as there has been a lot of chat about false positives with CB tests lately on the conception boards ? I assume you still have no AF ? If not then probably worth testing in a few days. Let us know how you get on and we'll hopefully see you back in aa few days with a BFP. {{{{hugs}}}} xx

pixsix · 30/03/2008 10:41

llareggub sorry to hear your news. Best wishes for you when you see the dr next week. Hope to see you back soon.

Thanks mibbes, me too. Scan tomorrow which am dreading (obv!) Irony is that I always thought when/if I made it to the 2nd trimester I'd relax. Pah! Won't post on here again for fear of scaring the bejesus out of you and the other ladies with my experiences, but suffice it to say what is happening to us is very rare and very unlikely to happen to you or anyone else on this thread. Take care xx

bcsnowpea · 30/03/2008 12:09

Ilareggub good luck with the doc. I know we've all got our fingers crossed that they give you a BFP.

We told our folks and siblings today, we're both just far too excited to keep a secret! Of course, my only symptom at the moment is excessive peeing, so I have a freak-out every five minutes or so that the tests were lying.

I know it's months and months away, but what kind of births are you ladies thinking about?
My last ended in an emergency c-section, and I was part of a program for non-residents in Canada where I had to do it in a hospital, didn't have a mid-wife etc. I'm looking forward to having a bit more choice this time.

bcsnowpea in response to your question about the birth I am currently (naivley) planning a quick and painless one thanks Grin. Clearly a first-time mum-to-be !

llareggub · 31/03/2008 14:36

I just wanted to post an update about my negative pregnancy tests.

I made arrangements to have an early scan at a private scan, and was fortunately able to get a scan today. I had an internal scan and sadly the sonographer was unable to confirm a pregnancy. There is a slight possibility that it is too early to spot a pregnancy and there is something in the womb that could have been, or could be, a pregnancy, but she could not confirm. She did stress that it is unlikely.

I have been advised to test again in a week if there is no bleeding, and if positive, to go back for a scan so that she can see if there have been any changes. She did look for an ectopic pregnancy and she could not see any sign.

Obviously as I had a positive test I am looking at the positive side, which is that I conceived naturally, having never done that before. I have removed my name from the list below as I suspect it is likely that I am no longer pregnant. You never know, I may be back, but I shall say goodbye for now. Good luck to you all, and I shall be looking forward to the birth announcements in December!

im so sorry to hear that llareggub, its understandingly upsetting when the test is positive and nothing showed up on the scan. i just hope that maybe its still in its early stages thats why its undetectable...best of luck

pixsix · 31/03/2008 16:59

All the best to you llareggub.

mibbes · 31/03/2008 21:24

sorry about scan llareggub, but I'll quietly have my fingers crossed that you are back here next week Wink

nandos · 31/03/2008 23:27

does anyone have any idea on how to tell a couple(good friends) that i am pregnant and not hurt them in any way? the thing is that they have been ttc for 5 yrs and no luck. i have been trying for 2 1/2yrs but i know the news of me being preg will definitely make her cry Blush. i dont want her to get too upset.

BrightShinySun · 01/04/2008 07:09

Llareggub im so sorry it wasnt better news but good that your staying positive. Nandos im sure they'll be happy for you but maybe tell them by phone then she'll have a chance to have a little cry in private before she sees you. Hope everyones ok.x
