Hello! Bit nervous ? first post on mumsnet and (whispers) maybe first pregnancy?! First tested day before yesterday, in the afternoon and got a faint positive with first response test. Did two more tests yesterday - normal tesco test was faint but positive line, clearblue digital was positive. Did the other tesco normal test first thing this morning and got another faint but definite line.

However had had a quick look on here and seen mentions of chemical pregnancy and worried that I have tested too soon? I am only on my second cycle since stopping the pill. My first cycle was long ? 33 days ? and today is only day 26 of this cycle ? is this all too early? Or should I be booking an appt at my Drs?! Don?t seem to have any other symptoms. Sorry just realised this is long - thanks, cocoa cat

1LittlePrincess · 02/04/2008 11:57

Hello Everyone

I had a BFP on Sat but have been having bad AF symptoms achy back and low abdominal cramps so re-tested last night and got another BFP Smile Still got the aches and pains but putting it down to beany "rooming in" Also suffering really bad with tierdness this time round I am usually a night owl, but last few days have had to be in bed before 10 pm.

I have One DD who is 3.3 years, and going my LMP I should be due on 4th Dec.

Although Cycle is usually between 32-35 days so will prob be moved back at scan. This happened with DD aswell.

Good Luck to everyone

Hope everything goes well at scan BSS, fingers crossed

Take Care x

badkitty · 02/04/2008 19:26

Hello,

Feeling terrible today - is the dreadful achy back and general feeling as if I am coming down with flu a symptom do you think? Worse I am going to be stuck at work till really late yet again tonight and just want to go and curl up in bed Sad

Verso · 02/04/2008 19:39

Blocked nose/sinuses can definitely be a symptom, badkitty - and an achey back. Hope you don't have to stay too late at work.

I've started to get nauseous today - hurrah! I'm really glad of any symptoms, even though I feel grotty!

Welcome, cococat and 1LittlePrincess!

rosmerta · 02/04/2008 20:44

Hi all, this is applepip btw, I got fed up of switching names so I've outed myself to other MN friends!

Hello to all the newbies, not feeling so alone anymore!

Symptoms can take a while to come as well, only now I'm starting to get sore boobs and a little bit of nausea! But it does make you feel a bit better when you do get some symptoms funnily enough!

I've updated the list with my "proper" name!

I agree Verso, even though I cursed the 24/7 nausea with ds, I'd love to feel a little bit more connected to this bub. Somehow peeing all the time just doesn't cut it. Smile

I am also absurdly tired at night, but I'm not sure if this is being pregnant or just finally being hit by studying full time/working part time/having a 16 month old ds.

I've decided to defer my study (again) after this semester. Technically I'll have my degree (yay!), but I wanted to do Honours. I'm not keen on finishing up with a three month old though, I want to dedicate as much of the first year to him/her as possible.

Anyway, have an interview for a promotion today and have big butterflies keeping bubs company. Eek!

rosmerta · 02/04/2008 21:02

What's the course you're doing bcsnowpea? I'm studying as well but am hoping it won't delay my course too much!

mibbes · 02/04/2008 21:07

bcsnowpea good luck with interview !
BSS any news of scan hun ?

Am so Envy of you ladies with symtpoms, I will just have to try harder

mibbes · 02/04/2008 21:08

OMG are you studying ladies really young ? I finshed my degree 10 years ago...ooohh I feel so old !

rosmerta · 02/04/2008 21:20

mibbes, I finished my degree 10yrs ago as well, atm I'm training to be an antenatal teacher!

Verso · 02/04/2008 21:27

I finished my degree even longer ago than that, mibbes Shock... eek!

bcsnowpea · 02/04/2008 21:30

rosmerta- I'm finishing my B Arts, majoring in Psychology and Studies in Religion. I deferred this semester (last of third year) to have ds. Since we were trying to concieve this time around, I was prepared to not do Honours, though I did have a little sook for about a day, because I really wanted to do it. DH put up with me Blush.

mibbes- I'm 21, so I suppose that is quite young. However, I wanted to have kids young and get them 'out of the way' so to speak. Plus, I've no idea what kind of career I want to have, so being with my kids first gives me time to think.

DH already has his degree, which is lovely when it comes to money Smile (though he's doing the SAHD thing at the mo)

mibbes · 02/04/2008 22:01

bcsnowpea you are a very young mum, good on you I was way too focussed in living in the student bar at your age ! I am only just growing out of that phase at 32 !
verso glad there is another 'older' lady on here !
rosmerta hurray a resident expert Grin

1LittlePrincess · 02/04/2008 22:01

LobstersLass · 02/04/2008 23:31

Hi all, especially mibbes I recognise your name from the conception thread!

I got my BFP today!

So I appear to be pregnant with our first child. I can't really believe it! Grin

I had no symptoms at all, other than obviously my period was a day late. Wink

BrightShinySun · 03/04/2008 08:09

Morning all! Hope we're all ok,thanks for all the kind thoughts. Ive got 2nd blood test today i misunderstood what they were doing, they want 2 blood test results to compare to see if the hcg has doubled coz apparently that doesnt happen if eptopic.

BrightShinySun · 03/04/2008 08:11

Totally freaked out again last night coz was getting twinges again but went to sleep and none in the night or this morning so preying its nothing. Will know tonight. Oh im studying to by the way, glad im not the only one! But its only part time and i dont

BrightShinySun · 03/04/2008 08:15

Argh stupid phone and stupid short messages! Was saying... I dont work either so ive not got it as hectic as some of you guys! Am hoping to keep going with course,am 23 and its taken me till now to decide what to do so need to get on as course is 3 years!

bcsnowpea · 03/04/2008 08:49

Thanks for the well-wishes today, the interview went really well. I told my bosses about the baby. I know they won't decide on my suitability for the job based on the bub, since I work in a very discrimination-free Australian government office, but I thought it was fair to let them know my availability. If I don't get it, we'll head back to Canada where dh can work for more dough.
Also, was pretty excited, and I just want to tell the world.

mibbes · 03/04/2008 09:12

bcsnowpea where are you based, in Australia ? Fingers crossed you get the job.
BSS I sooo hope your hcg levels double, everything crossed for you CB xx. And you are another young pup !
Welcome LobsterLass, hurray another graduate from our lovely thread ! and another first time mum ! Feel free to pop yourself on the list hun xx
Well when I had GP appt the other day I mentioned that I'd had contact with my nieces since PG and they've both just had chickenpox Shock. So I've been called back for further bloods to be taken this morning to ensure am immune. I'm sure I had it when I was young but not sure if it was a big enough dose to make me immune Hmm
