So pleased for you PFJ - you can go into labour now!

EllieG · 31/03/2008 09:09

Hurray! PFJ's Mum has finally arrived [Ellie plays a short fanfare on trumpet]

You can have the baby now. In fact, I might have mine too, I feel quite relieved she got to you safe and sound meself

Watched a birth programme on tv this morning and was being all sensible and stuff, and when the baby came out thought 'Ugh is all purple and sticky' but then the weirdest thing happened, the moment they handed her to Mum and Dad I was sobbing! Think the Mummy hormones took over.....

Who's going to have a baby today then? I reckon peachy or VS.

Peachy · 31/03/2008 09:42

I wish Ellie although next three days OK as childcare miraculously sorted itself and am free in school hours (how sad am I? LOL)

congrats pal- yay

MW due here any moment, but will catch up later.

Bit sad today as best friend Dad died, someone i've kown since I was 11. He was suffering (alzheimers, strokes), but still lucid, and a lovely man who made a difference to my childhood and I will miss him. I'm the only one of my schoolfriends left with 2 parents, which is a bit scary

PortAndLemon · 31/03/2008 10:06

Sorry for nicking your due date, Peachy...

ThePFJ · 31/03/2008 10:21

A little scary Peachy. However try to think of it as a good sign for your long good health later in life perhaps!

Hehe and Awwww Ellie for being all emotional. I have prodded my bump to see if he wants to come out now but he says no.
Poot.

I have MW today at 11:45 so lets see how engaged he is. To me he feels very deeply engaged. But I always get overexcited about the smallest things anyways!

I can't believe I am DUE TOMORROW. >.

sagitta · 31/03/2008 10:22

Congratulations P&L - that is such an encouraging birth story! Well done! And congratulations vacaloca too! They are coming thick and fast now...

Glad your mum's arrived, PFJ, that you've made up with DP, Ellie. Sorry about your friend's dad, peachy.
It's my last day without DH - he's back tomorrow !! .

Mollyfloss · 31/03/2008 10:23

Hurrah for PFJ's Mum!

Peachy: Sorry about your friends Dad

I'm off to the pool this morning. It will be nice to be relatively weightless for a while and not feel all my aches and pains

6 babies here already and the 1st of April is tomorrow. So who is going to have a baby on April fools day?

ThePFJ · 31/03/2008 10:27

Harhar Molly.
Well my whole life has been one long joke. And it IS my due date. However Sods Law says no baby for PFJ on April Fools Day.
We'll see though.

That moon website we looked at last full moon said only 4% of babies actually come along on time on their due date. So I am going with those odds

Peachy · 31/03/2008 10:36

Well, MW came- baby no more engaged, booked in for a sweep Mnday and inductin after. Not bothered about having an induction as such, but it means the boys going away and missing school which is a bit sad for them as they wanted to be here. never mnd, plenty of time- not sure I'm keen on April 1st as birthday though!!!

scorpio1 · 31/03/2008 11:02

Peachy Hope that goes ok, baby's are difficult aren't they?!?

PAL WOW sounds like a really good labour, really positive and you sound so euphoric Well done!

VS How are you? Can you email me PAL baby name if you know it please?

Ellie Hows ML going?

Hi to everyone else....

I am very crampy here today, have had a pinky sort of mini show this morning. I'm also feeling very weird about still being pg, i am missing having a glass of wine and going out. Kev and his boy friends went out on Friday; but their girlfriends(my 2 best friends actually) all turned up and i was stuck at home being fat with 2 kids. Not for the first time either....just feel like i'm being 'kept' in; i asked DH and he said he didn't know that the girls were coming otherwise he would of asked me, but would i want to because im pregnant?? Errr, yes, i could of had a coke and just enjoyed being out. Would maybe be better if he wanted to take me anywhere else....i just dont think he thinks . Does anyone else feel a bit like this, especially 2nd/3rd timers?

Have no plans for today, and strangely i dont feel like leaving the house.

scorpio1 · 31/03/2008 11:03

oh and PFJ lol @ your life and your due date

Peachy · 31/03/2008 11:06

Sounds hopeful Scorpio

Dh seems to have forgotten about me needing to have a social life as well, he's ahd to pretty much give his up atm as well though as his mates live 2 hours drive away and MW keeps telling him he wouldn't necessarily have 2 hours for a 4th birth. He ahsn't complained one bit bless him, but seems very focussed on absolute crap that excludes me nonetheless- 6 hours alone building lego? bizarre LOL!

i don't think they do it on purpose though, just male thought patterns.

scorpio1 · 31/03/2008 11:09

i know, i think i may have, ahem, screamed at DH I'm not made of * china!

I think he just wants to protect me; he said last night that i'm very special when im pregnant and that he can't believe it will be over soon, he will miss bump. I said i won't!

Think Millie has gone head in again; her bum is much lower than my ribs now.

eva07 · 31/03/2008 11:09

morning all.

congrats on all the lovely babies

((peachy))

PFJ, I'm really glad for you your mum is to stay with you. I would LOVE for my mum to be here too but she is a teacher and can only come during holidays. Actually it would be great if ANYONE of my family or friends was here, but hey. sounds a lot like a whinge... ignore me. but a friend of mine sent pictures from home and I think I'm a bit homesick now

anyway, my cold seems to get better, I even can taste things now. so yesterday I ate half an almond tart, 2 chocolate brownies, 2 chocolate muffins, 2 slices of flourless chocolate cake, 1 bag of mini eggs (was thinking of you, PFJ) and for dessert I had half a strawberry cheesecake. live seems so much better now again

had a lot of stretchy and period-type pain yesterday and breathing is a lot easier today, so maybe baby dropped? (hopeful smiley)

where is scorpio, by the way? millie's making an appearance?

eva07 · 31/03/2008 11:11

oh, x-posts scorpio

scorpio1 · 31/03/2008 11:12

Eva - i wish!!

Carey87 · 31/03/2008 11:17

Hi everyone.

I had a mini cry this morning. One minute I was fine and the next I just burst into tears. Think its because tired after being at horse show all day yesterday. Up and out by 4am, finally got back home to bed at 11.30 last night, and DP had been around his new nephews house and cuddling and gooing at him. I just really hope he's like that with ours.

37 weeks tomorrow, does this mean that I can officially start on the pineapple and lots of sex and raspberry leaf tablets???

chipmonkey · 31/03/2008 11:17

Have to say, I won't miss the bump either, scorpio. Things are not being helped by the fact that in this pregnancy, NOT ONE of my maternity trousers have been successful. Without fail, they all fall down! Also, I have suffered with heartburn and sickness throughout this pregnancy, much more so than with the other 3 and I'm just looking forward to being able to enjoy a cup of tea again amongst other things!

Carey87 · 31/03/2008 11:21

PFJ - yey!!! so happy for you!

Scorpio - I reckon you'll be next

Peachy - good luck and sorry to hear about your fiends dad

Ellie - I went through the stage of crying becuase it looked as if it hurt too much to crying because mum looked so happy to crying because I want mine now!!

VictorianSqualor · 31/03/2008 11:38

Scorpio, I emailed you.

PAL, lovely name and she is gorgeous! I call DD that name quite a lot as it's similar.
I love all these big babies they make me want to nibble their tootsies.

scorpio1 · 31/03/2008 11:41

Thanks VS

PAL - lovely name, really nice!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 31/03/2008 11:49

Aww I want to know the real name of 'Lemonpip' too now!!!

PFJ - I am just SO happy your mom is finally there! YAY! What a saga!!

LOL - I was also wondering if the reason Scorpio was being so quiet was because she was off having Millie!

I will miss my bump and the extreme closness of my baby - I know I will have the real thing in my arms, but she/he is never gong to be as close to me ever again... [cry emoticon]

sagitta · 31/03/2008 11:53

Can someone email me PAL's baby's name? Thanks!
sagitta1atbtinternetdotcom

VictorianSqualor · 31/03/2008 11:59

Emailed you sagitta.

sagitta · 31/03/2008 12:31

Thanks very much VS!

That is one of my favourite names, but it's a bit too similar to DD, otherwise we would definitely have used it - lovely, PAL.
