Thread title reflects the fact that every day that passes it dawns on me a bit more

Squarah really worth making that time to see the obstetric physio. I thought I just had an exacerbation of my chronic back turns out not it's something that is fairly common during pregnancy but it is often not picked up until post delivery. I have the chance with exercise to prevent mine getting any worse Plus a really sexy tubigrip support that has made me drop a dress size and get back into 2 skirts I had given up on

MINNIE1 · 20/03/2008 22:00

Hi all, I have read over the post and for the life of me i can remember what was said!! Having a blonde day today, i am like a zombie... On the weight i just keep thinking i am still 8 and a half stone!! I dont really mind what goes on as i know running around after 3 under 3 will shed the pounds.. Off to get dome sleep b4 i fall asleep.. nite nite...

Minkus · 21/03/2008 08:13

Arr Minnie1 didn't realise yours were so close together- just checked on the list- you'll be like a rake

Welcome Squarah! There is a list near the start of the thread where we've all put our due dates/if we know gender etc, feel free to cut and paste and add yourself on. This thread is so lovely, people here are v supportive and its my favourite place to share preg worries and joys now!

Kaz hope that your supersexy tubigrip does the trick for the pain- it sounds like a victorian corset/girdle!

Franny I've just seen your post about how boring it is to have rude dreams about your dh- I would have agreed until I had a great one last night about the two brothers Charlie and Don Ebbs from the FBI drama thingy "Numbers" grrrr. Am hooked on it at the moment (and CSI and House!) so watched a couple of episodes last night, hence rude dreams. Will be tuning in again methinks...

Sorry for everyone I've missed off! Thinking of all my lovely new friends on this thread though.

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend! DS has just learned enough bladder control to go without nappies at night so I have promised him a couple of small early eggs today for being so clever, might have to get some "for the baby" too xx

disneystar · 21/03/2008 08:24

hatrick we have been seriously thinking of booking a centerParcs holiday what went wrong there then?

lazyhippo · 21/03/2008 10:24

Disneystar- wonderful news on scan!
Hi Squarah, congratulations
Can't believe how many creme eggs i'm eating. I usually try + give up choc for Lent, but no chance this year!
Is anyone else still waiting to feel their first movements? (although i'm sure i'll be complaining once they start...)
Happy Easter holiday to everyone xx

MINNIE1 · 21/03/2008 11:01

lazthippoIs this your first? i was feeling movement at 19-20 wks with this pg, which is slow for me as i felt DD1 at 16 wks.
Minkus
Sure will be but at least i can have all the choc i like then and not have to worry

Must get off this and do some house work place is like toy city gone wrong!

lazyhippo · 21/03/2008 11:26

Hi Minnie1, yes its my first. I'm only 22 weeks, so not worried at all, more intrigued as to what movement will feel like!

EEC · 21/03/2008 11:30

Jam sandwiches for lunch...Yum

hubarbspong · 21/03/2008 11:42

Happy easter people, hope you all get the chocs and treats you desire. Dw is getting along well, feeling widget moving quite frequently now. I'm so, so proud of her.
Phoning NCT this week to get classes booked and starting to order stuff for the wee one.
Lovely to read of everyone getting along well, long may it continue.

sweetkitty · 21/03/2008 14:45

Hello lovely ladies been out at an Easter party today which was fab a lot of admiring my "neat" bump was admiring a P&T's Sport and a nice sling too.

lazyhippo - I never felt any movements with DD1 until 24 weeks thought I never would (DD2 16 weeks, DD3 12 weeks). Sometimes if your placenta is at the front you don't feel kicks as much.

shortshafe · 21/03/2008 16:50

Hi all, hope everyone's enjoying the long easter weekend!

minipink - men can be soooo insensitive to pregnancy hormones! I love the name claire .

lazyhippo - a friend of mine who was pregnant hardly felt any movements at all, even right at the end - caused great worry for her and the midwife, until someone at the hospital asked her if she swam a lot, she swam daily and apparantly very good stomach muscles can make it hard to feel the kicks! iirc, movements start off as funny little bubbly feelings, then a couple of weeks later progress to actual squirms and kicks, think I was about 24ish weeks last time. Let us know when you do feel it!

I'm struggling with serious 'pregnancy brain' at the min - feel like my heads full of cotton wool and I can't think straight! Think I might be tired.

Sweetkitty - I've been looking at the P&T Vibe online - not sure it'll be here before we're due though!

Kaz1967 · 21/03/2008 19:01

Minkus think it is quite a bit no having 2 use heat pads quite as much or wanting to pop painkillers as soon as I wake means I may actually get off the stuff before this little one arrives because as things were it was not looking as if I would (have long term back problem on half what I was med wise) think more liberty bodice than Victorian corset

twinkle was getting BH a lot when I was walking think it was because I was generally in a lot of pain they have settled down a lot with me sexy stocking.

My best mate went and looked at this flat up near Boston for me just a bit excited now cos it sounds good and she took some extra pics for me I want to say yes right now but have booked a coach up there on Monday and an appointment to see it on Tuesday Sue and her Daughter are really excited about me coming up but not half as excited as me

Kaz1967 · 21/03/2008 19:05

lazyhippo is your placenta at the front? this can also mean you feel less movement

Kaz1967 · 21/03/2008 19:23

Ooo heck |Bump is stamping his/her food think I may have to take off me sexy body stocking before they through a total wobbly. ROFL

MINNIE1 · 21/03/2008 22:17

Lazyhippo
There so faint to start with, but they will come.. My last girl was a kicker and still id to this day, she could really get you in the ribs.. Wont be long and that will be you..

Went to go to the shop to get a treat and a mag to chill out and all the shops are closed because it good Friday aghhh.. Had a long day and need a treat... O well will just have to raid the house...

Hope all you pregnant ladies are all well and happy, Happy easter to you all. Hope Mr Bunny comes with Choc eggs

Kaz1967 · 22/03/2008 04:54

Morning everyone guess who was awake at 4am again LOL

EEC · 22/03/2008 08:41

Oh Kaz, me too. I should have come on mumsnet and we could have had a chat, instead I went downstairs to eat!

I had an 'it's all too much for me' bout of tears yesterday - worried DD a bit and feel really bad now! I tried to explain I'm just very tired, and stressed with the house move, but it's not really fair on DC's. I was very spappy when the friends they had to play were making loads of noise and rampaging around the house. Oh dear.

Happy Easter all. Hopefully a ton of chocolater should cheer me up!

Kaz1967 · 22/03/2008 10:48

LOL I did the eating thing too think that is the reason Bump wakes me up at 4am most mornings

MINNIE1 · 22/03/2008 14:39

Could have joined you ladies at 4am, DD was up and down all night. Finally have app to see doc at 3.30 today.. Wish to god all bugs would pi$$ off.. Shitty nappies are just flying over head here!!

sweetkitty · 22/03/2008 15:57

Happy Saturday ladies hope you are all doing well, I think the dreaded bug has reached the kitty household, DP has been ill and poor DD2 has had some very interesting nappies bless her and isn't eating that much. I have stomach cramps and off food as well. Hopefully it will pass before tomorrow.

DD3 went quiet for about a day as well think she was scared of all the rumbling overhead.

shortshafe - cannot really justify the extra £'s for a P&T vibe especially as DD2 will be 2 1/2 when DD3 is born so chances are I will only probably get a year out of it at most if that. If I had the same age gap as DD1 and 2 or shorter I would go for it though.

shortshafe · 22/03/2008 22:39

It's quiet today - everyone must be off enjoying the long easter break!

sweetkitty - how long did you use a double for with your eldest 2? my dd will be 20 months when ds arrives.

Hope the bug sufferers get better soon.

isaidno · 22/03/2008 23:35

The vibe looks nice but very expensive!
Between DS1 and 2 there is 19mths. I only really used a double for 8 mths, then used the buggy board. I think DS1 would have sat in the double for longer but it's hard work pushing 2 DC!

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 22/03/2008 23:43

sweetkitty and all other bug sufferers

i am with you

ds4 was sick thursday dd friday ds2 felt ill yesterday and today worse
dp and I just feel rotten and off food for 48 hours now - normally we miss out on bugs!

Just ds1 and ds3 to go then.... not keen on bugs i can handle morning sickness but this is something else

nausea coming in waves

as for double pram ds 4 will be 2.5 when this one arrives and i am getting a p and t

he just cannot walk a couple of miles across town and even if he can - he cannot walk back! Also my friends p and T are fab for dumping loads of gubbins in etc so when he is out of it my stuff will be in!

FenLondon · 23/03/2008 08:50

Morning all - may I join in?
Expecting first baby 20th July, at the moment believe it's a girl, but haven't had the proper 20wk scan yet - next week so we'll see!
Love the Valuable Information - no matter how much I seem to trawl on the internet there are always a couple of extra "blimey!"s ...
