Peachy · 16/03/2008 22:11

All sent- its very flexible but shoul;d be OK as a base.

Finally got the crib up today- yay! the house actually looks as if a baby is expected at last! Dh got into the mood and set up the bouncing chair etc after so Sebastian can come any time now.....

please! ()

Have loads of meetings next week (school open day, statement review for ds1, plus 2 X dla forms to complete) so think he's waiting until it's all completed first. Hope he's not waiting on the answer for the DLA review- takes 6 months LOL, i'm fat enough as it is.

Daftmoo · 16/03/2008 22:41

Congratulations, Daftmoo!
Feck's sake, I really should get my hospital bag packed!

SuzeM · 17/03/2008 08:11

Congrats Daftmoo!

Hi AussieDiva, I am near you (Fulham).

Wow, Denny, keep those ILs away.

My FIL did my head in when he was over last week, he is so intrusive. I won't be putting up with it again, luckily I rarely see him.

I had started taking RL tablets at 34 weeks but stopped as my NCT teacher told me not to take them until 38 weeks. There is so much conflicting information.

I am off to the midwife for my 36 week appointment then on to work.

SuzeM · 17/03/2008 08:12

P.S. VS, good luck to your DP!

AussieDivaOnABreak · 17/03/2008 08:23

Hey PortandLemon, don't forget to add me to your list I'm due 16th April. 33, Barnes, this is my second baby (have one DD 3 and ten months).

Congrats Daftmoo!!

Hi SuzeM, just joined on the weekend so I'm an MN newbie. Good to hear you're in Fulham, are you booked into a hospital? I've been holding off on the RL (I'm 36 weeks on Wed)but yesterday I started brewing...but after one cup (or was it a cup of honey with RL added as an afterthought???)I'm on the search for pills today.

Gotta get the little one ready for nursery now, have a good day everyone

Carey87 · 17/03/2008 08:30

Morning all.

Is anyone alse about 34/35 weeks and feeling generally unwell and throwing up? Last night woke up and had to run to the toilet, puked up everything!! Its the third time in a week now. Its almost as if morning sickness has come back, which I was convinced last week, but its not the same. Got midwife/docs tomorrow so hopefully she will give me something for my bloody throat. Feels as if I've got a golf ball wedged up my fanjo (TMI) and I just need to pop it out. God I am such a moanie cow atm!

Happy Monday everyone! (At least its only a 4 day week!!!)

Congratulations to Daftmoo too! XX

EllieG · 17/03/2008 09:09

Woo-hoo! Congrats Daftmoo and Mr Daftmoo of course. Ted is a lovely name x

EllieG · 17/03/2008 09:09

Last week at work for meeeeeee la la la

Carey87 · 17/03/2008 09:24

Me too!! la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Carey87 · 17/03/2008 09:24

Feels great doesnt it Ellie?!

TLSM · 17/03/2008 09:37

Oh Daftmoo congrates I love the name Ted really wanted to call this one it saying that I don't know how it got changed from Teddy to Tom ...... wanders away looking very confused! Its like on Friday I received a parcel of expensive Nappies at least £80 worth and I had no idea where they came from I was thinking oh my god I have bought these from somewhere and I don't even like them then looked on ebay and realised that the seller I bought a wet bag and bits from for £10 sold them so sent them to me by mistake! so not loosing my mind after all

Oh welcome all the newbies have read all but quickly and have already forgotten names ohhhhhhhh

Right off to the midwifes to tell her she is a silly bint and that Tom is still breech like I told her 2 weeks ago even though she assured me he wasn't!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 17/03/2008 09:40

Oh wow - another baby! Congrats Daftmoo!!

I am getting so excited now (although I still have much longer than most of you to wait!) I just cannot wait to meet my LO and find out if if baby is a boy or a girl!

Peachy · 17/03/2008 09:41

Congrats Daftmoo

For the first time in ages feeling smiley today- can say 'baby is due at end of next week' which helps LOL, don't have to trek into Uni, have found (thanks to my Doula) that if I have a bath with lavender oil, my SPD relaxes enough to allow me out the house- anything much is out of the question but school run (250 yeards) and bank (100 yards) were inpossible last week! Much better.

Am playing a Bollywood CD whilst I MN and my book on Swami Vivekananda just turned up- trying to motivate myself for exams and finals now LOL! Need to download some African spirituals to get into dissertation mode first though I think.

EllieG · 17/03/2008 09:45

Peachy, you defo win a prize for managing to think about things like disserations while very PG.

carey - it does indeed! We should have some cake on thurs to celebrate

EllieG · 17/03/2008 09:47

It's a good thing I'm not writing one...dissertations

TLSM · 17/03/2008 09:51

oh before I go I have a few TMI questions regarding c sections I know a few of you have had them and there are a few things worrying me

firstly when do you start bleeding am worried I will start bleeding whilst my legs are numb and I wont beable to go to the toliet and put a towel in and the thought of asking for help is

Secondly what do they make you wear when your in the theater I am a big girl and the thought of a little hospital gown is also my DH is a big block what if the clothes provided dont fit him what happens then!

Thirdly do they/I have to shave everything off down there - what to be prepared!

Fourthly what happens after you have the baby you must go to recovery but what happens with DH and the baby do they come too?

lastly now honestly how much did it hurt -sorry for anyone else who may need a c section but I dont want to go into this with my eyes shut! could you hold the baby ok and what was the first feed like?

Not worried at all am I

Mollyfloss · 17/03/2008 09:55

Morning all and Happy St. Patrick's day!!!

Congratulations Daftmoo!!! Fab news!!!

I haven't done my little reminder in a while - do those kegels!

Hearing about some of your in laws makes me feel quite lucky. My PIL's live in the USA and wouldn't even make plans without consulting me. I told them the best thing to do is wait and then hop on a plane from the USA as soon as I am in labour (rather than have them come over and then have to wait 10 days if the baby is late). They have suggested staying in a hotel down the road so as not to impose but as long as there is room here I don't mind. My Mum will also come over from Dublin as soon as anything happens and my younger brother too so we'll all work it out between us. My other two brothers and DH's brother will come a couple of weeks later. I'm so happy that everybody is so excited at the arrival of LO. My FIL keeps sending me links of baby stuff on ebay in case we need anything and my MIL has already suggested coming back in June to help with the baby. I think LO is going to get a lot of love from the extended family

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 17/03/2008 10:03

Sounds like you have really lovely IL's Molly! I like mine too - DH mom is in SA and his dad is in Canada. Both are super excited for us and are already spoiling LO! DH dad is comnig over in May to meet the LO and we are going back to SA in Dec to introduce LO to DH mom and extended family! It is so nice that everyone is so happy and excited for us - really does make it more special... (now I'm having a little happy cry!) lol

7monthsplus · 17/03/2008 10:05
