hiya thanks for all you good thoughts and wishes. It is all OK, I had the anti D ouch! and they did a scan and got a heart beat and movement so I am very relived. I just sailed through my ist pg wth no bleds or anything so to have a couple of bleeds already is a suprise. anyway it is a sunny day and everyting is smiley today.

Good news Hedgepig - what a relief!

Lozza70 · 08/04/2008 12:31

Great news hedgepig

The sun is definately shining here, London, but not sure how long for.

On the subject of nucal, I had my scan last week and they took the bloods for the combined test but no-one said when I would get results, if they would call me, if I should call them...... Maybe no news is good news. How long did it take to get your results?

Don't want to become a pain in the a*se

sugr · 08/04/2008 13:34

KnickersOnMaHead, I had a CVS so knew that they had done the DNA test. DH, who is a rufty tufty ex army type has been ribbed all w/e by everyone as we are now telling him it will be a pink and fluffy Paris Hilton type who will want to talk about handbags and nails instead of enjoying the great outdoors. Lots of fun to be had over the next few months on this!

rach010 · 08/04/2008 17:36

caramelbunny will be thinking of you tomorrow, i know what you mean about wishing your life away! I couldn't wait for my scan then on the day i was soooo nervous, keeping everything crossed for good news for you.

bethoo · 08/04/2008 17:51

sugr - how do you know you are having a girl? i thought you cannot tell until after 14 weeks though it can be determined in your blood. i only have 6 weeks til i know what i am having though i think it is a boy already!!

Hi i've just found out that my scan is on 25th april but dp is out of the country on business so i may have to re-arrange i'm desperate for the scan!!

plus i also want to confirm that i am pg i don't 'feel' pg anymore iykwim i've got none of my usual symptoms and i'm starting to feel paraniod about it

Alexa808 · 08/04/2008 18:46

Sugr, congrats on the baby girl! Would love to know, am just too curious to wait.

CSWS, thanks for the answer. I will try and get a scan plus blood done in Singers then. My doc hasn't even called back with results yet. My dp has a temp contract out in Singapore for 2 months but if all goes well we'll move there permanently. Would love to...life's such a breeze there. You get all sorts of domestic helpers and it's safe and small. I'm excited about meeting some MNs down there.
Lozza, I'm stil waiting for some of my results. Rang the doc yesterday but no one called back. I guess if it was bad he'd have told me immediately. The wouldn't be so cruel and delay such vital info from a mum-to-be.

sparkles, apart from a growing tum and expanding rear I don't feel preggers at all. In 2 books I've read that from 9-14 weeks there's a period where the first trimester signs cease and the kicking cannot be felt and it feels as though you're not pregnant. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Has any one of you felt the baby kick yet? I can feel a flutter and as if someone is gently tugging inside my tum.

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 08/04/2008 18:50

Alexa thats for that i've been reading through my books too, i may call the mw tomorrow and see if i can go into the clinic just to see if they would check for a heartbeat to ease my mind, you never know they might!!

this will be my 5th baby so it may just be that my body is just used to it and i'm not noticing things as much.....fingers crossed anyway!

What test results are you waiting for?

sugr · 08/04/2008 19:10

bethoo, because I had a CVS after my nuchal scan they test the actual DNA to determine whether it is a boy or a girl so it is a definite. They don't offer up the info though, I had to ring them back to ask!

Sparkles, maybe you could check out anawiz on ebay, they're a top seller and sell monitrs under catalogue price on there. What's it called in english...? You can hear your baby's heartbeat. Just to pt your mind at rest, but def go for a scan. Feeling for you as had same non symptoms around week 10-12. x

I'm waiting for blood tests on rubella, toxoplasmosis, the works. Had 12 week scan and 1:821 result on Down's but no blood test taken. Maybe I should have it done as it does seem to alter the overall results quite significantly.

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/04/2008 20:25

Yay for great news from hedgepig, Knickers, fanvampbooks and Aubergenie.

With dd I don't think I felt anything until at least 20 weeks, but I'm certain I felt stuff a few weeks ago this time, although it isn't often and I haven't felt anything much for the last couple of weeks. I'm quite certain I got a kick when I was poking with the doppler a few weeks ago though.

Got a call from the hospital today - they want me to ring back re my GTT test, but I didn't get chance this afternoon. Expect they've just got confused and are wondering whether they've lost a sample because of there not being one for after the glucose!

pepperrabbit · 08/04/2008 21:20

Hi all,
Lozza, I had my combined test last Fri and they said I'd get the results by post in about a week, and they only phone if it's a problem. So hoping to hear by Sat at latest.
CSWS - have you had a GTT already??? I've had GD twice before and they're not even muttering about sugars till 28 weeks (even though they told me it could strike as early as 12/14 weeks a third time )
On the subject of movement DS1 was about 20 weeks and DS2 was a tad earlier but I've no idea when - poor thing - that covers a lot of his developmental milestones - I'll be lucky if I can remember DC3's birthday at this rate.
Feeling fat here rather than PG, there is no way on earth I'm going to fit into my one work suit for my one day in the office on Thurs!! You could almost hear the zip creaking when I breathed out last week...
take care all
PR

Alexa808 · 08/04/2008 21:34

pepper... zip creaking

I actually slipped one of my fave dresses on and was amazed it still fit...only to discover that one of our cats had gnawed it open in the back... Have a tummy now and boobs, proper knockers for the first time in my life. I hope they'll stay...

CSWS, I underwent a glucose blood test last week as I drink like a horse and yet go to bed thirsty, wake up thirsty and always have the distinct feeling of soggy wool in my mouth. Hope your goes well!

pepperrabbit · 08/04/2008 21:36

Now decent knockers I am looking forward to!

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/04/2008 21:47

pepperrabbit - is now apparently standard to have GTT around 13 weeks as well as the old 28 week test. I went for mine last week, but passed out and then spent 3 hours throwing up, so they had to abandon the test.

moodywren · 08/04/2008 23:04

I am so jealous of you all having your scans. I am 12w+5 and still haven't got an appointment for mine. Apparently they have lost my referal twice and scans are all backed up here anyway. I am convinced it'll be the week after next when we're on holiday, I'll be 14 weeks by then.

Aubergenie · 08/04/2008 23:21

Lozza - When I had my combined test they told me that someone would ring me within the week if there was a problem, otherwise I would get a letter in the post. So no news is good news, I think. It took about 2 and a half weeks to get the letter.

sambrads · 09/04/2008 08:57
