Thanks HC and Eulalia .

Yes it is quite early for a foetal echo, but my consultant at hospital said that at St Mary's (Manchester) they now like it if all low risk mothers are screened early (between 14-18 weeks). I think if there had been a problem then they would have asked for a more detailed scan to be done at about 22 weeks. My dd's was done at 22 weeks and was very detailed and took about 45 minutes but this one was only 15 minutes long so not too bad. We were in and out so quickly that we couldn't ask if they could tell the sex of the baby, in any case it was right down in my pelvis with its head on its chest and so it was difficult enough for them to see all the arteries and chambers as it was - must be another difficult boy (ha ha!).

Good luck with the party hc and hope your ds has a lovely birthday

Eulalia, lucky you, being in non mat wear at 13 weeks. I gave up all normal stuff at about 10 weeks and although I have a reasonable bump it hasn't really grown at all since about 12 weeks. I have been perusing the new mothercare catalogue for some new bits and bobs though - I am very short on summer tops and would like to buy a dress also as I tend to live in jeans mostly.

Does anyone think it's time for a new thread? Maybe that's why it's so quiet on here. My computer sometimes struggles to load up despite broadband!

Yes, lets go for a '2nd trimester thread'? Perk us up a bit.

I'll try and spend some time at the weekend telling you my happy matgernity shopping experiences. All two of them:-)

I am 14 wks +2 and have finally had to get out my old black mat trousers today.

v bad day today - got a call at work - ds1 vomitting. Got to nursery and ds2 under the weather too. No car today as it in the garage. Pushed both boys home in double buggy that collapsed half way home. To top it all I have loads of work that I need to get done AND I am also going down with the flu - aching all over and a fever. Not a good day - I just want my bed.
I get a few obvious movements from baby - well this IS my third! Makes me smile.

Yes - let's start a new thread.
