@Margo34 I've told DS, but he's 3.5 so sort of understands what's going on. He gave me a cuddle this morning and asked if I was feeling better, because he knows I've been so sick.

Hope everyone is having a lovely evening so far. Everything went well at the scan and really excited to say that we are having a girl 💗
We had a feeling as this pregnancy has been different to when I was pregnant with DS!

@lid88 thanks for the warning, I've never heard of that and I'm pretty much there with those 5 Fs 😬 thankfully never experienced anything like what your describe so hopefully will never happen.
@Tubbytele congratulations 🎊 💗

One random good symptom, I wore makeup for first time in a while today and as I was taking it off noticed I have really great eyelashes at the moment. I will try to hold onto that when I feel otherwise totally gross 😂

Congratulations to everyone on recent scans - it feels so much more real now!

Thinking of everyone still waiting for news or feeling anxious.

A question for any other teachers: have you told your students yet/have they guessed?

And a question for any taller ladies: have you found any tall maternity jeans that are actually properly long in length?

I ordered my pram and bedside crib yesterday. Went for a Joie Versatrax and Joie roomie. We managed to try out the pram in store, and it seems like a good mid price range option. Really enjoying the shopping side of things, as dd1 was a lockdown baby and all the shops were shut!

Teacher here! Primary. No, parents and children still do not know. Also I’m tall and have now given up on finding decent maternity jeans that are long enough 🙄

congrats to all the lovely news in everyone’s scans 😍 mines next Thursday so feeing the anxiety! Heard heartbeat yesterday at hospital so that was lovely xxx

Thanks everyone 😍

@SearchingTheSkies secondary teacher here! I told my students because I had been off sick for a while due to morning sickness and the dizziness so was nice to tell them when I went back the reason why.

Morning everyone. In a bit of a debate wether to phone the hospital or not to get checked as I haven't felt movement yesterday from baby. It seemed to be in a pattern for a few weeks now but starting to worry as that really changed but read they won't take it as a concern as I'm only 21 weeks. It wasn't just flutters I've been feeling though it was obvious and strong kicks so think that's what's worrying me

AliceinSlumberland · 01/12/2022 08:21

@lj2022 I’ve been worrying about similar, I have an anterior placenta though so mine had been more flutters. Nothing for the past couple of days really but I’m just hoping he’s moved into a different position as he was very active on our scan on Monday and I couldn’t feel it at all.

AliceinSlumberland · 01/12/2022 08:23

@SearchingTheSkies we went for a Joie too, the Finiti one, but I think they’re very similar, seems like a good system for a good price, I’m pleased. Also they fold down so easily!

Jeans wise, I’m going to order some of the jeggings from love leggings in tall as their tall leggings fit me well.

@Peachesthecat no I just wear them cropped

Report
ancienthouse · 01/12/2022 08:40

@lj2022 I would call them. My hospital told me to call them if I didn't feel anything for 24 hours. There's no harm in calling.

I'd be worried too, I've been feeling proper kicks. My DH felt it on the outside the other day too! So if I didn't feel any for a whole day it would concern me.

Hi ladies! I’m back. Sorry I had to check out for a few days, I was very stressed about everything and didn’t want to bring the mood of the thread down. For my MH I went for an amnio which has confirmed we are expecting a very healthy little boy 💙 the NIPT was wrong! And caused me so much stress. But I’m ready to put the last week behind me now and pick up where I left off with my surprise son 😆 Christmas shopping this weekend with MIL and DD and will let DD pick out some little clothes for him. They did a very detailed scan with the amnio and he’s measuring spot on which was a huge relief.

I will make our next thread in a moment…

Lovely to hear all your news and healthy scans!

@Cuppasoupmonster that's brilliant news, glad your little boy is healthy!

I don't think I've posted my due date on here - 12th April and it's a boy.

I'm starting to worry I won't make it until April now though!

@AliceinSlumberland aw that's so hard especially with an anterior placenta! Hope you start to get some more movement soon 🤞

@ancienthouse I phoned them and have just been up and everything is fine and heartbeat is nice and healthy so she must have moved position. I'm the same I've been able to feel an the outside for around 10 days now so the fact I wasn't feeling that just set me into panic mode. They were so nice about it aswell especially as I'm a lot more paranoid after the recent stillbirth in our family. I bet she starts kicking again now that I've been up 😂 just making me worry
