Hey,

Verrry early days of course but just had a big fucking positive this morning and I'm so excited. I'll be due between the 4th to the 7th of April by my reckoning.

Anyone else just received their positive?

I had my booking in today at 8 weeks. It was over the phone so I need to go in at some point for bloods. Can't wait to know when my 12 week scan will be! I dont feel pregnant at times. Other times I've the worst nausea. I've not booked an early scan but sometimes want to but it's only 4 more weeks to wait!

I've also found out my 2 best friends are having babies next year. One is February and the other is 2 weeks behind me ❤️💕 I can't wait for them to become mummies!

Congratulations. I got mine Tuesday. We'd talked about trying after the wedding for a bit see how we go. Got married 6 weeks ago so we are shock as didn't get much chance to try with the children off school

Can I join in? I think I'm 9 weeks today with baby #3. Currently have an 8 year old and 4 year old, both girls. I have my prebooking appointment on Tuesday, and to my surprise I've already received an appointment for a scan on 13th September. I have long cycles so they probably think I'm a week ahead. They always ask for cycle length yet base everything on a textbook 28 day cycle then adjust after the scan. I'll be 11+3 by my estimation so hopefully they can still get the measurements they need then. With my 2nd I was only 9 weeks and the sonographer was very huffy about it because it was too early.

With my first 2 I was really sick from the very beginning right up until I gave birth but have surprisingly not been too bad this time. I only really feel sick when I get hungry so have been trying to eat small amounts every few hours to stop that from happening.

Can I join in? Found out last night I'm expecting #2 at the end of April. Was expecting ttc to take ages like last time, and it... didn't. DD will be 20m when #2 arrives!

Hi, can I join? My app said that my due date is on 2nd of May but NHS& babycenter said 22nd of Apr, so have no idea which one right.

Anyway, I am 6+5 weeks at the moment the app said, and have private scan booked for 1st of Sept(7 weeks). I am 37 and this is my first pregnancy. We sort of trying on and off for the last 5-6 years and accepted early this year that it may never happen that we have to try other way to have children(surrogacy or adoption). Got a new job starts on the 5th of Sept, so q bit gutted knowing that I won't be receiving full mat pay.

Anybody manage to hide their pregnancy from their boss up until 20 weeks 😅? That is how far I am going to wait before I tell them, basically one my probation time is up 😅.

Congratulations @cranberries85! I'm currently on mat leave and go back to work in a couple of weeks so not sure how they're going to react when I tell them I'm pregnant again 😆! One thing to think about is whether you'll need a risk assessment or not and time off for appointments etc. I don't blame you wanting to wait until after probation though!

@cranberries85 I'm 8+3 weeks currently (measuring off my scan on Saturday) not told employers yet. Have no intention till 12 weeks either. I'm a manager so I think they'd expect me to tell them but I don't feel comfortable saying anything! I've already got a small bump going on as well (more than likely bloat) but I work with a load of men who don't care what they say to you so waiting to get called out! I'd just recommend baggy or cover up items. I wear a uniform dress which is like form fitting so it's quite obvious so been covering up with a cardigan and now I've pulled out my like office coat 😂

Thanks @Willbe2under2 ! Oh my gosh that happened to my old boss years ago and she done it twice(3 pregnancies close to each other) 🤣. Luckily it was in Norway where they took it seriously about equality both men& women at work so they need 50% of the employees to be women, so she was alright, embarrassed more than anything she said 😅.

U r right about the appointments though, luckily I finish at 3pm on Thursdays, I am hoping to be able to get my appointments done on Thursdays if poss 😁.

I was about to say earlier that I have the same pulling thing going on and was quite worried hence booking a private scan for this Thursday to make sure everything is alright. So far, had been taking pregnancy test twice a week just to make sure 😅. I am so worried about the chance of ectopic pregnancy at this early age hence wanted the scan to be sure that my baby is in the right place and has heartbeat 😣.

@cranberries85 I'm hoping so! It's my second pregnancy but 1st child after a loss last year heard that sometimes you can get a "protective bump" which is quite cute.

The pulling is normal I was the same. Rang 111 to confirm the pulling feeling was normal and spoke to my midwife and she said the same. Had two early scans due to slight anxiety with them and same as you wanted to check it's in the right place. I recommend them! Also just a heads up don't be thrown off if they give you a completely different date. Saw a woman on the fb group saying she's panicking because she should have been 6 weeks and was measuring 5. I was like 6+3 and got put back to 5+5 and then on Saturday I was meant to be 7+6 and measure at 8+1 so it does change

@cranberries85 haha, I think it happens more often than you think! I'm not too worried about it being a problem but just feels a bit embarrassing. Especially as I'd only just started with them before I got pregnant last time. I'm now going into a new role (same company) so at least I'll be telling someone different 😆. I keep having to remind myself that most people are decent and if a new recruit told me they were pregnant I'd be nothing but happy and supportive of them so surely others will be the same.

I'm waiting until 12 weeks unless I need to tell them sooner (sickness etc), I was lucky last time as I only had some nausea and tiredness so could hide it. Not worried about showing either as I haven't lost the baby weight from #1 yet...

@Willbe2under2 congratulations to you too! Honestly! Every twinge has me panicking. My midwife was like DO NOT GOOGLE. I was like what do you mean that's what got me through the past 7 weeks 😂

Never heard about the protective bump before, but yes, It is cute! I am sorry for ur previous loss, hopefully this one is much much stronger than previous one *finger cross!

I kept telling myself if u r misscarriage, there should've been blood already, but apart from one day of pink tinge on my tissue after I went to the loo when I was 4 weeks, I haven't seen anything else and the I don't class the pulling as painful, so I kept telling myself that my baby is alright, my baby is alright. I think bcoz it is a miracle that I even fall pregnant naturally after so many years of trying that I am just afraid that it won't last 😖.

I am in the process of moving(on Friday this week!), so done a lot of bending and if I bend too many times in short amount of time it hurts(like yesterday). So done another pregnancy test this morning 😅

Hopefully it'll be alright when it's the time for u to tell them, hopefully by 12 weeks as planned 🤞🏼! So far I only had a bit of queasy here and there, it's the growing boobs that hurts so much 😅!

I’m 7 weeks today by lmp but 6+4 by ovulation. Got my booking appointment on the 8th which is exciting.
Really want an early scan but not booked one yet, I’d like to wait until 9 weeks if I can so I can hopefully see more than a blob!
Very confused at my lack of symptoms compared to my first pregnancy.
Tiredness which was bad weeks 4/5 but now normal
Insomnia which I always have
Nausea maybe 2 random days
Sore boobs again some days on and off

Feel like I’m getting away very lightly at present… famous last words.

@T4Opal I thought the same. Famous last words of I'm having it easy. I've had two early scans all were fine and then week 8 hit and I'm rough like in waves compared to the other weeks

Hi @T4Opal , I am 7 weeks as well by today! I am booked for private ultrasounds tomorrow, the only reason is bcoz this is my 1st pregnancy, and I really wanted this to be okay. It is a miracle that I even fall pregnant after over five years of trying, since I shouldn’t be able to(especially naturally!). So I just wanted to make sure that my baby is in the right place, that this isn't ectopic pregnancy and all.

My symptoms I think are sort of light, I have sore boobs(especially when I ditch the bra, I felt like I had to hold it in place with my hands 😅), queasy, and tired. Gosh, really tired! But have not yet hurl like everyone I know.

U probably somewhat like my Mum, she told me that when she was pregnant with me, she didn't know she was preganant until she was six months long since there was no symptoms at all. One day she realised that her belly is getting rounder and bigger so she went to the doctor who confirmed that she was pregnant 😂.

I've got my 12 week scan later today, although I expect to be closer to 11 weeks. Quite nervous but excited. I've not had a scan yet so just hoping that everything is all okay. They currently have my due date as 24th March based on lmp, but I expect that to be pushed back around a week at the scan today as I have longer cycles and don't ovulate until later.

Everything was fine at the scan although I was right and measuring 11 weeks exactly. Unfortunately too early for the NT screening, CRL had to be over 45mm to take the reading and mine was 42.7mm, so out by a matter of days. I've got another scanbooked for 28th Sept. They said they would change my due date at the next scan so they still had me at 12+4. I expected to be 11+3.

Glad everything went well with the scan! My 12 week scan is the 28th ❤️
