Hey,

Verrry early days of course but just had a big fucking positive this morning and I'm so excited. I'll be due between the 4th to the 7th of April by my reckoning.

Anyone else just received their positive?

Cautiously joining you all. Got my bfp at 10dpo yesterday I think! Still incredibly early days. This will be our last ever baby. My 4th, DPs 3rd.

Quite shocked as we had planned for it to take a while.

Jennylou88 · 07/08/2022 22:06

@KennAdams congratulations! 🎉🥰 very exciting x

Margo34 · 08/08/2022 11:49

Congratulations on your BFPs everyone. Totally thought I was out this month but got my BFP for baby#2 today. Baby1 is almost 2!

Tentatively joining and in need of a handhold - this is my third pregnancy this year and I'm bricking it. NHS calculator suggests EDD 16th April but apps suggest 20th April so who knows.

Bubbles1995 · 08/08/2022 13:13

@Margo34 I'm in the same boat with my DD. One saying 2/4 one saying 8/4 and then I got my appointment for two weeks time and she said my week I was on on that day and when I worked it out she thinks the 3/4 so I'm confused!

Wouldloveanother · 08/08/2022 13:24

Hi Margo! Congrats. I would go with the apps if you were tracking OPK, because NHS will just take a ‘guess’ as to when you ovulated based on cycle length. My app says EDD 12th April and 4w5d which I think is probably right. I will be induced by 38+6 though, so my ‘real’ date is probably sometime at the end of March.

Bubbles1995 · 08/08/2022 13:38

How is everyone doing? No sickness has hit me yet. How's everyone feeling

Thanks, I have no idea when I ovulated this month and was also equally convinced I'd had an anovulation month so who knows but guess I just missed the signs or wasn't paying enough attention. Just have to wait until the dating scan confirms it I suppose, assuming I get that far along this time. So 'sometime in April' perhaps will suffice but I'm still so confused!

Can I (tentatively) join the gang?! Just got a faint positive at 10dpo, due date 21st April! It’ll be our second child, we have a gorgeous little 1.5 year old girl who is going to make a great big sister!

siquin · 08/08/2022 18:32

Congratulations All!

I had my first doctors appointment today to confirm my pregnancy. I’m 5w + 3 with an EDD of April 8! This is my first pregnancy and I’m so excited but my mind keeps going ‘No botox, no soft cheese, no sushi, no wine…’ and then back to excitement. We’ve not told anyone yet, not sure what to do or when to share. Feeling good otherwise just think pregnacare is upsetting my stomach in the mornings.

gingerninja85 · 08/08/2022 18:46

@siquin This is my second pregnancy and during my first I did quite a bit of research and lots of people said that pregnacare vits made them feel lousy. It could be coincidental but I didn’t have morning sickness last time and was taking a different brand of vitamins. Big congratulations to you!

siquin · 08/08/2022 18:49

Thanks so much! My doc recommended taking them earlier in the day and see how I go, but if it’s the same switch to folic acid and a vit d supplement. Will give it another few days and see, but did see the same comments about pregnacare.

Me again. Just found it, I was taking sevenseas last time. This time round I’m doing wild nutrition which is pricey but I’m older and thought might be worth it this time round

Yes! I dont feel like I'm going to the toilet anymore than usual! It's probably not a bad thing drinking so much water but just wondered if it was just me.

This would be good! I'm part of one for my DD (6). So would be good to be able to join one for new baby.

Longbin · 09/08/2022 21:25

It is specific but people were worried others would see they have joined. It's private though.

Orangesaretheonly · 10/08/2022 06:50

Tentatively joining as had a bfp this morning at 14dpo. Had some bleeding Monday which I assumed was AF but might have been implantation. Due date 18th April. This is baby number 3, 2.5&4yr old girls. Had a home birth midwife with my second although she was born in hospital, having all the appointments at home was a game changer so definitely doing that again!

I remember with my last baby calling the doctors and they couldn't give a flying f. We've moved so have a new doctors who seem very nice. When is everyone contacting them? Congratulations to everyone! 💕

Margo34 · 10/08/2022 08:58

@Orangesaretheonly I've already contacted my doctor because I'm concerned about MC again. Got an appt on Friday. Otherwise in my local area, you contact midwives direct at 6w and not before.

Bubbles1995 · 10/08/2022 09:01

@Orangesaretheonly I rang my GP and they referred me to the midwives and in my area you have to do a self referral online. I did this at 5 weeks and they rang me on Friday to book me in for 25th aug which I'll be 8 weeks

I phoned yesterday and got an appt for when I'm 7+6. They said that it's from 8 weeks but she booked me in anyway. Said a day wouldn't matter. When I had my first it was 10 weeks.
