Hey,

Verrry early days of course but just had a big fucking positive this morning and I'm so excited. I'll be due between the 4th to the 7th of April by my reckoning.

Anyone else just received their positive?

Hello :) BFP on Sunday, dd 12th April.
Very excited but probably mad as my DD is nearly 5, and so much more independent now, so it's going to be a shock going back to the start!

hosp · 04/08/2022 09:21

It's so early, I'm 4+1, should I still inform midwife now? Feel like I should wait a bit!

Bubbles1995 · 04/08/2022 10:05

@uptheantrimcoast very!

@Babyfever93 I'm from the north west too! Glad we're at the same point because I'm worried. That would be good I'm considering one. It's my first but had a MMC last year so cautious x

Congratulations everyone ❤️

CinderellaFant · 04/08/2022 10:33

@hosp mine are 12,10 and 5 😂

Kryst24 · 04/08/2022 11:10

@Matildahoney Congratulations. I am pregnant with my first too, due date is 4th April. I am finding it super hard not to tell anyone, especially as two of my friends have announced their pregnancies and I want to join in with it all, haha.

Babyfever93 · 04/08/2022 13:24

@Bubbles1995 just had an email with an appointment for august 31st at our midwife clinic at gp centre so nice and easy.

sure you’ll hear soon too if same service :)

Bubbles1995 · 04/08/2022 13:26

@Babyfever93 that was quick! Hopefully I'll get mine soon. When's your expected dd sorry if you've put it and I've missed it xx

CinderellaFant · 04/08/2022 10:33

@hosp mine are 12,10 and 5 😂

Oh wow! Can I ask how the younger child gets along with the older two? It will be similar to my age gap (dd will be 5.5)

CinderellaFant · 04/08/2022 19:38

@hosp they all get on great. My youngest and eldest are both boys and middle is a girl. My eldest is very protective over his little brother and takes him to football training, teaches him how to play basketball/go on bikes/ how to play Xbox etc.

Very excited but probably mad as my DD is nearly 5, and so much more independent now, so it's going to be a shock going back to the start!

Also feeling a bit like I've gone mad here as my first is nearly 6 and we can leave house with just keys and a phone these days, which is lovely! The idea of sleepless nights, nappies and weaning does slightly fill me with dread as I feel decade's older this time too, but equally, I can see how much fun it is once they are older and more independent too!

uptheantrimcoast · 04/08/2022 21:15

@Babyfever93 only a couple of months. Feel very lucky and hopeful. I wanted to have a smallish age gap!

I hope we get to enjoy pregnancy a bit more this time! I felt that I missed out on a lot having my first in March 2021

Matildahoney · 04/08/2022 21:46

@Kryst24 thank you & congrats too, it's so hard isn't it?! And people keep asking me, it's like they know!!!

Babyfever93 · 05/08/2022 07:07

@uptheantrimcoast yes we were just the end of lockdown babies!! I’m honestly just looking forward to 12 week scan with my partner this time and my mum being able to hug and touch my bump at this point. It was horrible keeping our distance from everyone 😢
@Bubbles1995 10/11th April I think. It’s my birthday on the 6th and sis in laws too so hopefully we avoid a triple birthday haha

Bubbles1995 · 05/08/2022 07:17

@Babyfever93 that so funny because I'm in the same boat with that! NHS date is 8th April which is my mother in laws birthday, my father in laws in 10th April and my sister in laws is the end of March. So this could go well! My apps are saying the 2nd April though so god knows what I should be going off!

Kryst24 · 05/08/2022 12:08

Yes, I always liked to have couple of drinks at the weekend or when out at a meal so people are starting to be like, why are you not having a drink ;)? Haha. It's going to be difficult to conceal but I don't want to put too much pressure on myself until we have had our 12 week scan. Time feels like it is going so slow now though.

cryingbabymess · 05/08/2022 15:09

Hi all!

I cant change my username 😂 got my BFP Sunday EDD is 7/4. So 5 weeks today. This is our 2nd. My DD will be 7 when baby arrives. Sooo excited! Don't know when is best to tell her?!

Babyfever93 · 06/08/2022 21:19

So my mum is definitely going to work out I’m pregnant this time round… they came round for lunch today and she bought a bottle of wine for her and I to enjoy 🙈 don’t think my comment that I didn’t fancy it today was much of a cover up … and then she slipped into the conversation ‘oh when you were 17 months I was already pregnancy with your little brother’ felt like she was definitely fishing… going to be a long few weeks. I guess that was a silver lining of a lockdown pregnancy, very few opportunities to spill the beans or be spotted not drinking!!

I ended up having to admit to SIL tonight. She asked me if there was a special reason why I wasn't drinking and I said no about 5 times but she was staring me right in the eye... 🙈

Jennylou88 · 06/08/2022 23:28

Hey! Jumping on the April bandwagon with baby number 2 due 9th April! 🥰 @Bubbles1995 @Babyfever93 I'm also in the north west 🙌🏻

how is everyone doing? I've had achy sore hips and back and a bit of cramping but no other symptoms yet! Xx

Wouldloveanother · 06/08/2022 23:33

Me! Got my BFP last week. I’m pretty sure conception was on or very close to 20th July, which would make me 17dpo and around 4+3. NHS calculator says due date of 13th April 2023. Exciting times ahead I hope ✨

Wouldloveanother · 06/08/2022 23:36

@Jennylou88 Congratulations!

im absolutely shattered and daytime napping, I also seem to have dried out like a husk - no matter how much water I drink, my skin is so dry and I’m not peeing much. I drank 3 pints of water over the course of the morning and didn’t need to loo until mid afternoon 🤨 bizarre! I remember similar with DD though.

did you get sickness last time?

Bubbles1995 · 06/08/2022 23:40

My boyfriend is finding it extremely hard not to tell people whilst I'm very chill and I'd rather not tell anyone!

@Jennylou88 hello! I'm the same symptoms as you. Lower back ache sometimes into the hips. Extremely tired also napping in the day!

Jennylou88 · 06/08/2022 23:40

@Wouldloveanother Thankyou! You too 🥰
ooo have you! Your body must need all the fluids right now!
i did get some sickness last time around 8-9weeks I think! But it wasn't too bad, and possibly in part due to the pregnancy vitamins. I've always found they make me feel sick, I'm trying taking them before bed this time round! Did you get much sickness?

Jennylou88 · 06/08/2022 23:43

@Bubbles1995 I absolutely loved keeping it a secret for a while last time.
However my 2 closest pals know this time. Mostly due to me not drinking 🙈

Bubbles1995 · 07/08/2022 10:07

@Jennylou88 that's fair enough! I rarely drink these days but last week I've been asked out for two separate occasions which I've just declined
