gawd fitn41, count yourself lucky you didn't wander into the sitting room as your dp watched the man on the wild gourmet shoot a deer (aka bambi's mother when you are trying to wind your dp up)...and then gut her!

all this talk of birthing pools and upcoming due dates!! i am still saying 'a month to go' even though it's 3 weeks until 40. maybe should change my tune, but trying to mentally prepare for a 41+ weeks scenario. have weird unscientific motherly feeling i'll go into labour on mar 6 (am due mar 3).

derah, i had a smimilar epsiode the same night you did. perhaps bc of ill conceived vision, somehow i just knew it wasn't the real thing -- although they were pretty strong. was interesting though as my number one instinct was to get in the bath so hunch about water birth well founded. and spent about two house moving from bath to bed. hard to focus/relax when it's not real though, just made me mad.

get this - dh got into shoving match with guy on tube today who tried to take my seat. half funny, half adorable....my hero!

Some people have no shame, marchmum

One of my favourite games on the Victoria line is 'who will give up their seat to the pregnant lady'

The people who look up, spot you and then wish they hadn't make me laugh. I haven't needed to sit down yet as I only travel one stop but it makes me chuckle.

MissingMyHeels · 10/02/2008 22:09

That's my favourite game in the mornings too PQ! I go quite a few stops so always take them up on the offer

I had really bad period pain aches and BHicks last night too and had the same worry it was the real thing. If only! I managed to nod off and been ok since.

I am bored of being pregnant now, really hope the little monkey is early. I am doing lots of walking as I am still working, raspberry leaf tea, lavender oil massages and lots of sex. Fingers crossed there is some truth in the old wives tale.

I have decided to take the risk and try a natural birth, my consultant is fairly confident that my fractures have healed so feel a bit unprepared but mainly excited. I can't wait to meet her

Hope everyone is well, haven't had a chance to catch up on ALL the posts yet. You busy chatty lot!

Evening all! DH and I have just got back from a last weekend away as a twosome. We had a gorgeous weekend in the New Forest and Isle of Wight and did lots of walking because the weather was so glorious. My pelvis is completely suffering now though...

I came home to a finished extension (yay!) and the news that a good friend has just had a healthy baby girl after a rough time over the last couple of years. I am so thrilled for her and her DH although I am just a little bit jealous of her as I have almost another 7 weeks to wait before I get to meet my little one...

2 remarkable sensations going on here (no, not contractions!)

  1. DS1 at school. Been to shops on my own. Having a sit down and snack while I recoup to do housework. On my own, in the week. I?ve been able to completely switch off my internal monologue of child thinking which has to run all the time I?m with one. Wow. I hoped I would get a couple of blasts of this before number 2 arrives, but I didn?t expect it to be so refreshing. Anyway, let?s see how he goes.
  1. The walk to school, shops and home accomplished with no breathlessness at all. I even managed to read to ds while walking to school. I take it the iron supplement is working! Feels very good not to be breathless.

hello to all

Are you all ready for your little ones to arrive?? cant believe how quick the time has gone by!!

Im 13+1 today and despite a little bleed at 11 weeks baby has one hell of a strong heartbeat!!! Also have 20 week scan on my march due date so thats something to look forward to, to stop me moping

Within the next 8 weeks you will all be cuddling your babies

so exciting!!!!!

iliketosleep · 11/02/2008 10:06

oh yeah gone off gordon ramsey now, whats with the constant hand clapping?? jeez!!

piggyp · 11/02/2008 10:19

Very confused, I know I'm 37 weeks but are we meant to be pg for 40 or 41 weeks? I know due date is 3rd march so I think that means 3 weeks to go. I'm very bad at maths !

The sofa is not still on balcony! Managed to open the doors in the end. DH now has a bad back, which is a bit annoying as I selfishly want to be the one not carrying stuff and generally being looked after!

Our 'Noble' (sub-sub-cheap version of aga) has broken so it is freezing as we rely on it to heat the house! I'm wearing a big coat. Also can't cook and I was going to have a making food for the freezer week.

Fitnforty - crying at 'dancing on ice' beats my crying at 'torchwood'. There has definately been a radio 4 conspiracy recently. Last week I blubbed at: extract from winnie the pooh, rolf harris 'two little boys', a play about a girl giving up a baby for adoption, a play about a girl being very happy with baby and a story about a giant in a garden.

spugs · 11/02/2008 10:24

iliketosleep - yay on your baby .shh about them all being here in 8 weeks, that sounds scary. i keep thinking ive got ages left but my due date is in 6 weeks! you never know though i might hang on for 8 and be last off the thread

does anyone know where i can get some rasp leaf tea online? im never going to make it to the shops at the rate im going and need to get started! going to stick bump pic on my profile if anyones interested (and i can figure out how to do it!)

spugs · 11/02/2008 10:27

ok nthink ive done it, let me know if its worked

hunofmonsters · 11/02/2008 10:34

can't see yet spugs

merryberry · 11/02/2008 10:52

poor old piggyp's DH! glad the sofa's in, had strong image of you sat on balcony feeding your new arrival under a brolly. is that nobel thingy easy to fix? The average pregnancy lasts for 280 days, 40 weeks or nine months from conception to birth. I'd be saying you have 3 weeks left to go, I'm due on 2nd and that's how i phrase it (well I'm 3 weeks minus 1 day to EDD now! Eep.)

Could be worse.

spugs, cant see it either. the active birth centre do a RLT

iliketosleep, i think that's pretty special, having your 20 week scan on your march due date. i hope it is as happy and positive a day as you deserve, and that you do not suffer any sadness more than you can handle for your lost dc on that day.

turtle23 · 11/02/2008 12:11

Having a total meltdown this morning as tax credit people rang to ask a few questions and my husband heard me answering question incorrectly, didn't get to me before i hung up, and started shouting that I probably just caused a huge delay in our getting anything as we will be investigated since we gave conflicting info. Wasn't thinking straight and I am just hoping that they will believe me when I try and get the same person to believe that I'm just pregnant and DO SOMETIMES GET THE YEAR WRONG . He never shouts at me, and it has totally freaked me out. Why can't I just have a few brain cells back and function normally? (sniffle)
