what's for lunch today? im starving but there are workmen in the kitchen putting a window in.

Its food shopping day today so i think lunch is ham sarnie, mini cheddars, an appple, yoghurt.

i dont know what to make for dinner, might make veggie pasta sauce, or have burgers veg and roast pots.

sagitta · 11/01/2008 12:09

Definitely up for slammers - especially now I know baby is coming out funny anyway (LOL Ellie) becuase of all the yummy and inappropriate food I've eaten.

Anyone book a stripper?

scorpio1 · 11/01/2008 12:11

lol at 'funny' babies.

mine however won't be at all oh apart from i still have runny egg yolks.

EllieG · 11/01/2008 12:12

Am having liquid lunch today - will alternate shots and champagne I think.

Stripper on way. Rugby player wasn't it?

scorpio1 · 11/01/2008 12:13

Yes, a nice dark one please.

sagitta · 11/01/2008 12:17

Anyone for a ciggy, Ellie / Scorpio?

KnitterInTheNW · 11/01/2008 12:18

Wish me luck ladies, we have someone coming for a 2nd viewing of our house in 35 mins. He's choosing between ours and one across the road, and if he buys ours it means we can put an offer on a house we saw on Tuesday night that has a bedroom for knitter jnr and everything! We don't in our current house and I'm itching to get everything ready. Plenty of time on my hands as my temp nanny job finished at xmas and I'm getting more and more bored! Although the family had me in yesterday for the day and want me for a day next week (footballer's wives eh, just can't stay away from the shops and beauty salon and poor baby gets in the way!)

Can I join in with the hen party too? I might not be drinking though, I've turned into a complete lightweight. We opened a tiny bottle of champagne given to us at our wedding at the end of May, a whole 220ml it was. DH has most of it, I had maybe 80ml and it went straight to my head, I was a very cheap date that night! Although seeing as it's virtual drinking, I'd like a pint of baileys please.

VictorianSqualor · 11/01/2008 12:25

Sod the tequila's, with what we're going through over the next few months I think we could do with some slippery nipples

velbels · 11/01/2008 12:25

HELP all this talk of forbdden food and drink. I'm in the house on my own and no one to stop me... aaggghhh

I can hear the alcohol calling.....

sagitta · 11/01/2008 12:30

Its OK Velbels, stay near the computer and drink with us. Slippery nipple?

Good luck with the house, Knitter. Tell them some horrible story about your rival's neighbour...

EllieG · 11/01/2008 12:46

Good luck knitter!

[Rolls another fag and sips beer] aaahhh

KnitterInTheNW · 11/01/2008 13:09

He's gone, and as he left said 'hopefully I'll see you again soon'. What does that mean?!

northeastmummy · 11/01/2008 13:09

Crikey - I look away for 5 minutes and the party's in full swing without me! It sounds like I've got some catching up to do. I'll have a slippery nipple and a pint of cider (I know ... I'm sorry ... but I have to catch up!!) to wash it down.

Anyone for forfeits

northeastmummy · 11/01/2008 13:11

Ooo Knitter - that's intriguing. Definitely sounds positive to me ...

sagitta · 11/01/2008 13:12

That might well be good news, knitter...have a little something to celebrate!

Mollyfloss · 11/01/2008 13:18

Good luck knitter! I'll have a litre of champagne please followed by a margerita, plenty of paté and goeey smelly cheese

VictorianSqualor · 11/01/2008 13:23

Unless see you soon means from across the road as your neighbour? Who knows.

Off to pick up DD. Thought we'd have a really nice afternoon out, but it's pissing down with rain, so I guess she's going to trash the place while I clear it up...

Have a lovely weekend everyone - I hope the RL hen night goes well Scorpio, and that you get to do something nice with DP - soon to be DH!

Enjoy the virtual drinking!

northeastmummy · 11/01/2008 13:46

Bye sagitta - I hope you have a lovely afternoon anyway.

Piccalilli2 · 11/01/2008 13:51

Happy hen do scorpio!

Make mine a margarita, I know it's only lunchtime but may as well start as I mean to go on.

Can I have some blue cheese as well? Ooh I miss blue cheese, I'm threatening to pack some in my hospital bag so I can have some as soon as the baby's out, but dh is (understandably) vetoing this.

scorpio1 · 11/01/2008 13:53

dp is getting champagne a couple of weeks before she is due so we can have some straight away!! although will prob wait until the following evening, and invite people up to share.

all my windows are in now, whopee!

Soph73 · 11/01/2008 14:53

Happy Hen Day Scorpio I´ll have a pint of cider, then a martini and a pack of ciggies please! Have actually been busy at work so couldn´t MN yesterday - tragedy Went to midwife today - gained 3kgs in a month

Soph73 · 11/01/2008 14:57

However, that was over Christmas so what can you expect My tummy measured 22cms - what does that mean?

scorpio1 · 11/01/2008 14:58

it measured at 22 weeks.

dont worry if this is less than what you are - is not completley accurate or means anything is wrong.

i have never been measured - sounds quite old fashioned.

Denny185 · 11/01/2008 15:03

Its just dawned on me that ive had 3 alcohol free xmas's in a row due to pregnant, BF and pregnant again. So can make up for it now, can I have a row of vodka shots lined up?
Scorpio hope you enjoy Sat night whatever u may end up doing.
