Hi carey and congratulations on your PG! Welcome to the thread - is nice place to be.
Is this your first baby?

Sheds75 · 22/01/2008 10:59

Hi Carey, welcome to our world! we like to have virtual parties and love our food, but best of all help each other out

Carey87 · 22/01/2008 11:07

Hi all! Yes this is my first baby, and I'm really looking forward to it, but at the moment the best thing is the eating!!! I lost a stone through morning sickness (which only finished at week 22!) and I'm enjoying every minute of putting it back on! (Not enjoying the Braxton Hicks, backache and the one varicose vein that I have on my rigt leg though! LOL!)

Cxx

VictorianSqualor · 22/01/2008 11:41

You really dont understand, it's HUGE, it won't fit in my fridge.

On the other hand my sling and maternity pillow are here yay!

OP posts:
Mum2b2BabyRoo · 22/01/2008 11:44

What maternity pillow did you get VS? Thinking of getting one as I am more and more uncomfortable every day! Almost wish my maternity leave started now (26 weeks!) But I've got a while yet

VictorianSqualor · 22/01/2008 11:47

this one I just had a lie down on it and it's wonderful, I can't wait til tonight!

OP posts:
TLSM · 22/01/2008 11:48

PAL downside you could have a huge baby upside you will get extra scans to watch the growth My istser had it she kept to the diet they gave her and was checked a few times and her little girl was 7lb 5oz so normal! No more chocolate for you though well maybe a little

VS i am there could do a little shopping pop and see my sis then dinner at yours day planned

TLSM · 22/01/2008 11:51

now that is a pillow to be proud of

VictorianSqualor · 22/01/2008 11:52

It's great isn;t it!
I ordered it sunday night and it was here today, bloody quick delivery.
They're a good shop actually, they have a 'labour' bag on there I might get too.

OP posts:
Peachy · 22/01/2008 11:55

Don't thorntons do a diabetic choccy range?

VS- when i did my online order yesterday damned server bip kept causing huge chickens to appear in my basket... wonder if it was the same thing? LOL

sagitta · 22/01/2008 11:56

Hi everyone!

Congratulations Mrs Scorpio, so glad you had a lovely day. Looking forward to seeing the pics!
Lovely house knitter - sorry you won't be in before LO is born, but it looks very liveable in already!
Welcome Carey!
You do all sound so organised - I can't believe that some people will be having their LOs in March - I reckon I will be in May - one of the last still left on this thread while you all chat about BF and conjuncitvitis and no sleep...(actually, now I'm not ) Can't wait not to be PG though.

I had a really hectic and fun weekend, and am now paying for it by feeling really tired and weepy. Everytime I sit down somewhere even remotely comfy I drop off...

PortAndLemon · 22/01/2008 11:59

Yes, but I was getting extra scans anyway because DS was large, so I think only upside is that I shall be so into the swing of healthy eating by the time DD arrives that the weight will just drop off... [deluded emoticon]

SuzeM · 22/01/2008 12:01

Hi Carey and congrats.

PAL, the class I am going to is near Fulham Broadway. I'm going to have to ask for a lesson on bathing, changing etc. Total novice here, the last time I tried to change a nappy (when I was 15 and babysitting), the mother came home and told me I'd put it on backwards. No wonder it kept falling off the poor child.

From greenandblacks.com: "It is a myth that people with diabetes can't eat chocolate. Chocolate, if eaten in moderation, as part of a healthy balanced diet will not have an adverse effect on your long term diabetes control."

I want one of those balls and pillows!

Peachy · 22/01/2008 12:02

found some more decent nursing bra's- they are out there, VS changed my lingerie future

VictorianSqualor · 22/01/2008 12:03

hahaha Peachy, I actually ordered a chicken of about 1.4kg which would have been perfect, but I got one thats 2.2!

I called DP in amazement and he told to ring Hugh Fearnly-Whittingshall, I don't think DP was particularly interested, wonder why?

OP posts:
VictorianSqualor · 22/01/2008 12:05

Suze, dont know if they still do it, but at the hospital with both my other two I had to bath them before I left, they did it with me to 'teach' me.

OP posts:
TLSM · 22/01/2008 12:37

The new thing is the resommend you dont bath the baby for a few day after its birth so I dont think they do it at the hospital

TLSM · 22/01/2008 12:38

ok that was meant to read they recommend {blush]

TLSM · 22/01/2008 12:38

ahhhhhhhhh
