knitter - I'm all confused now! Too much choice does that to me.

I like the creamy colours like antique and linen, but also think tender is nice - but might be a bit too pink and she's not a little girl? I also like the Hiss one - looks a very pretty lilac.

And what colour would I need for an apple tree?

Tell me what to dooooo....

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 14/01/2008 13:07

TLSM - excuse my ignorance - but when you say the M&P pramette - which one do you mean? I went to have a look but it seems they have loads of pramettes? Or am I being thick??

KnitterInTheNW · 14/01/2008 13:18

Ellie - all those colours are nice! Have to say I'd really enjoy knitting with the pink or lilac, as everything I've been doing has been green, blue and brown! The apple tree would be the same coulour... hang on a mo, I'll go and take a pic of my blanket so you can see what it would be like.

TLSM · 14/01/2008 13:18

Here is the one I have Pliko Pramette on the M&P website it only shows it like the pram so on ebay you can see pics in more detail!

TLSM · 14/01/2008 13:22

i have also bought one of these to make it more cosy liner

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 14/01/2008 13:23

That's great - thanks! Much better pics on ebay - gives you a much better idea of how it works! Thank you!

Soph73 · 14/01/2008 13:26

Afternoon all. Wish I could knit. DH's aunt has already sent us a cardie & we have a few which she knitted for DS1. Also have my knitted baby blanket (35 yrs old), the blanket my nan knitted for my mum (61 years old) & one from DH's aunt.

EllieG · 14/01/2008 13:27

I have an urban detour I bought second hand but it doesn't have a carry cot bit and the new style ones don't fit it - will my baby be very damaged by not lying flat? I want to carry her in my sling mostly when out walking if possible.

Knitter - I like the Hiss colour v much as I think although scan is telling me is a girl, I don't want to tempt fate and have a pink blanket just encase! And lilac, although not exactly manly, would not require explaining should we get a little boy as a suprise!
Would love to see a pic though.
If all good I shall order off the rowan website tonight and get them to send the wool to you - is that OK?

Soph73 · 14/01/2008 13:28

Have been feeling strange today, headachey and then all I could see out of my left eye was a silvery, shimmery light - weird. Am going to see how I go, if not feeling better by tomorrow will go to the Drs. Loads of horrible thingies going round at the mo though - yuk!

Soph73 · 14/01/2008 13:30

Ellie - as long as baby isn´t going to spend hours in it I don´t think it matters too much if he/she isn´t completely flat. That´s what I remember being told with DS1, but opinions may have changed since them

KnitterInTheNW · 14/01/2008 13:32

Right...

This is a close up of an apple tree.

This one is my whole blanket, yours would be the same but just with 1 apple tree, I thought maybe in the middle of the 2nd row up?

Mine still needs blocking, ie washing and pinning out so it dries flat, that's why there are pins in it at the moment!

KnitterInTheNW · 14/01/2008 13:35

That sounds perfect, and I completely understand about your 'just in case she turns out to be a he!'

I'll email you with my address now.

TLSM · 14/01/2008 13:37

Oh Knitter thats lovely!

Soph have you ever suffered from Migraines as that?s what that sounds like did the silvery line look like wavy water I get them a lot usually when I have not slept enough if you can get a few hours sleep it should dull down you poor thing they are horrid

KnitterInTheNW · 14/01/2008 13:45

I had migrainey headaches for a few days a little while back, paracetamol didn't seem to touch them or even migralieve, which my GP said was fine to take occasionally. I used the gel patch things you stick on your forehead, and that cooled my head down and made me feel much more comfortable. And sleep/rest with eyes closed should help too.

velbels · 14/01/2008 13:50

WOW! Knitter that is so nice!

KnitterInTheNW · 14/01/2008 13:53

Thankyou!

Soph73 · 14/01/2008 13:55

TLSM, Knitter - no, I´ve never suffered from migraines but yes TLSM it looked just like silvery water. Phew, at least I know what it is now. I´ve taken a paracetamol but know it probably won´t touch it. Will try & lay down when I get home.

EllieG · 14/01/2008 14:00

Cor knitter that's fab! Apple tree in 2nd row or whatever it was sounds luverly too.
