Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gillythekid · 09/01/2008 14:23

Just back from my scan and only the one in there for me and all is healthy so big relief! Things are a little further along so my new EDD is 14 July, that makes this little one a true honeymoon child as we were married on 05 Oct. Still feeling incredibly sick and am going back to bed now as I can't concentrate on anything! Could someone add me to the list or tell me how to do it myself? Good luck to all who have scans soon and I hope everyone who has a cold isn't as miserable/snotty as me.

sweetkitty · 09/01/2008 14:31

I am so at all you having good nights sleep last night, mine was awful. We had gale force winds here last night (and today) couldn't get to sleep for the noise (still up at midnight) then DD1 was frightened and came into our bed but the wind was waking her, DD2 was up about 5 times as well. It was so noisy. DDs slide and playhouse were blown across the garden but no damage done thankfully. They have shut a few main bridges up here and the main railway links.

libralady - I felt flutterings with this one at 12 weeks, DD1 was about 21 weeks, DD2 about 14-15. I can only feel them last thing at night when all is quiet and I'm lying down though.

Jodie - I echo isaidno's advice, I tried sling and buggy last time and it wasn't that great, DD2 was a big strapping thing and it felt really obstructive with her on my front and pushing a buggy. The only reason I am getting a P&T's is because I will also have a 4yo to deal with too and she is still liable to run off now and again so I don't think I could cope with DD2 on a buggy board as well. TBH DD1 has always been a runner and I needed a double until she was about 3 but I know from on here some manage with younger children. I used a wrist strap with DD1 for a while and still have it on the buggy as a "walk nice" aid.

Paula - sorry about the vomiting, I only ever really get it when I brush my teeth now.

I am soooooooo tired I wish DD1 still had a nap.

gillythekid · 09/01/2008 14:39

Thanks to Isaidno, yes it is my first, and the way I'm feeling, definitely my last! Still waiting for the bloom but seems to have got lost somewhere beneath the nausea, weight gain and snot! Still, I have the luxury of being able to sleep all day.

sweetkitty · 09/01/2008 14:48

gilly - I am still waiting for the bloom on pregnancy number 3, I look and feel like an old sack of potatoes throughout pregnancy. Thankfully this is the last time ever I have to go through it.

Minkus · 09/01/2008 15:02

Glad some of you are sleeping better, it makes the whole world seem so much nicer when you're well rested.

PaulaPB I am so sorry you're being sick again (me too)- isn't it miserable when we'd thought we were almost over it?

DS been home from nursery poor love with a raging temperature too and FIL is here doing some odd jobs (we're paying him to do 2 days per week cos otherwise the house will never get finished) so there is absolutely no chance of any rest either and I feel like a big pile of pooh.

Kitty- Bloom? In pregnancy? Does it happen? Please please please let me bloom forth soon

beepbeep · 09/01/2008 16:15

Dreaming of a bloom here!! Just nausia, chubbiness and snot - oh joy!!

paulaplumpbottom · 09/01/2008 16:16

Well Minkus I suppose we are boubd to have bad days

Minkus · 09/01/2008 16:22

You're right Paula, I'll just put it down to a bad day rather than thinking "oh my GAWD it's back again how am I going to cope ooh it will be terrible!"

Beepbeep I'm with you on the snot thing too, forgot the constant drip drip drip that accompanies me when I'm pregant

ScottishSusan · 09/01/2008 16:37

Hi All

Just popping into say hello - just spent last 15minutes reading all the news - wow you lot talk a lot

Been back at work since Monday and actually had a bery good week. I only work 3 days so that;s me now till Monday.

I have also had tummy aches and pains - especially after sitting for a while or turning over in bed. This got really bad towards the end of last pg due to over stretched tendons - hope it wont be the same again!
Hi to all new ladies!

With regard to sleep - you can borrow 2 teenagers, a 10 year old, a five year old and a 2 year old for a couple of day and I promise that after running around after all of them - keeping house and dh and part time job YOU WILL SLEEP - If only to escape!!

sweetkitty · 09/01/2008 16:52

minkus - I'm with you no blooming here either, my skin is a nightmare, squeezed another two spots on my forehead today (I know you shouldn't squeeze them but I HAVE to). Not even going to start on my back which is mega spotty too.

I have a question for everyone re boobs, have yours grown yet? After weeks of thinking mine aren't doing anything they have sprung into action, bras starting to get uncomfy. I remember with DD2 getting measured at 9 weeks in M&S in Oxford Street and being a 38E (think I phoned DP in shock) usually I was a 34C/D. With DD2 they didn't get that big and I don't think they will this time. I only finished BFing DD2 May last year and they have been like little empty sacks since but they have definitely filled up. Hate those big maternity bras with a passion though.

Oh tried to change first antenatal appointment as it clashes with DD1's nursery pick up and it means I will have the two of them with me and got told no chance they are booked up until end of February! Got told that would be too late for the blood tests etc and I really should have an appointment by then (no really ) fully expecting to have this one then maybe another at 36 weeks at this rate.

Oh to have the money to have a independent MW...................................

MissChika · 09/01/2008 17:02

All this talk of non-blooming I can completely sympathise with. Have been told that you really start to bloom in 2nd trimester but I too still have massive spots on my face

Also seem to have the opposite problem re sleep and seem to have developed a severe case of narcolepsy! As soon as I get home from work am completely out if it. Looking forward to getting some energy back.

Btw, Isaidno, what is the list for?

sweetkitty · 09/01/2008 17:09

misschika - I have never bloomed in any trimester, I am a miserable, achy, spotty, pale faced, lank haired pregnant women. The list is just a list of all us Due in July, when we are due, what we have already, later on we can add the flavours too to add yourself find the latest list and copy into new messages, add yourself and post.

MissChika · 09/01/2008 17:13

Thanks sweetkitty - will do.

Booo! Really hope that we all start to feel better soon!

Minkus · 09/01/2008 18:08

Oh god my pregnany hormones are RAGING! Just cried at a program ds and I were watching on tv because it was "cute" (err actually it was sickly sweet and in normal life I'd probably just tut and feel guilty at allowing ds to watch such schmaltz)

Anyone elses chemicals a bit imbalanced?

ScottishSusan · 09/01/2008 18:47

Do feel weepy and invisible and very semsitive to anything anyone says or doesn't say...even when no-one answers or comments when I come on here....

Sorry folks just grumpy and hormonal and this little thread is a bit of a friend at the moment..

Minkus · 09/01/2008 18:53

ScottishSusan you poor thing, glad we are your friends though

Hopefully the hormones thing settles down soon- did it in your previous pregnancies?

ScottishSusan · 09/01/2008 19:09

Thanks Minkus - didn't mean to be snappy. Wished I could have withdrawn comment as soon as I pressed post....it's just the kids getting to me a bit tonight. 2 older ones fighting and moaning because they have to do a few chores. DD very tired as first week back at school amd her brothers just need to look at her and she squeels....

Anyway ...yes I am a bit hormonal when pg...I also get PND quite bad although I have sussed out how to reduce this over the last 2 pg's. I begin anti depressants at around 35 weeks... this really helps...

But I am not feeling depressed... only tired and it's great just to able to have a rant once in a while... feel free to ignore it if you wish just throw me a hello when I'm on and I'll be happy ...
ha! easilly pleased

nannyjo · 09/01/2008 19:27

thanks isaidno

Thepuddingchef · 09/01/2008 19:34

Hello everyone.......I haven't posted in an age....nothing to say really.......sorry to hear a lot of you ladies aren't getting that bloom yet......
I've been ok ..on and off sickness, but mostly not these days.
I have finally had my scan, which if I was being honest was waiting for until I felt I could join in a bit more.... so good scan, rubbish pics, and due date more or less the same, so i'm 14+3 today!
Not that bothered about the pics as I will have a 4d scan like I did with my ds at 30wks.
The list has certainly grown and I am going to try and keep up the conversations with you all now....who else can I ask those embarrasing(sp?) questions to!+

DontDreamItBeIt · 09/01/2008 20:49

Hello. Sorry to crash on you, bu I'm just here to pass on congrats to PaulaYatesBiggestFan from the Feb06 gang (I'm Jas btw)

FrannyandZooey · 09/01/2008 21:47

Scan today got EDD of 4th July, and a nice picture of the baby who was asleep face down with legs tucked under

Ds came with us and now wants to be a sonographer

I feel pretty middling awful but have had a cold and cough so still getting over that I reckon.
