Can't quite believe it. Got a very very faint BFP today. Been ttc no2 for ages now.

Don't want to say too much until I have told RL but reckon I am due around about 8th Sept or so.

I am still envious of all those with symptoms. It is all feeling very unreal. Can I go to the doctor and complain that I don't feel pregnant enough?

Mustsleep, congratulations! I went to the doctors straightaway, which achieved nothing, but I felt better for being on the system. He was very nice and went through the list of things not to eat and told me to come back at 7 weeks and he would refer me to the midwife then. Why I wasn't allowed to make an apopointment straight with the midwife for 8 weeks I will never understand...

Gracie re the sex, we have once or twice, but my sister's staying, which makes us less enthusiastic! I also just don't feel exactly desperate for it, but maybe that will change when there's actually an opportunity.

hopefully · 09/01/2008 09:59

Oh, and mustsleep, if you can be bothered to copy and paste the list, put yourself on with your info! The last one was probably a few posts back, but you should be able to find it.

mustsleep · 09/01/2008 10:01

ok also how do you work out your edd (you would think i should know this by now!

also i feel a little nauseous but has anyone else got really bad wind (i was the same with dd and it's so embarrassing)

other than that i don;t really have any other preg symptons - but then i've been lucky like that in the past so fingers crossed i stay the same!!

meglet · 09/01/2008 10:01

gracie I'm getting nausea through the day and worse at night too, I keep waking up about 3am and can't sleep. I am going to have a bowl of cereal tonight (special K red berries ) just before I go to sleep to see if it helps tonight.

I re-tested yesterday and got a big fat line . Got to make a docs apt though as one of my friends babies has 'slapped cheek' virus and according to nhs direct there is a tiny chance it can cause mc or health problems in babies, I should get a blood test to check whether I am carrying it and if so they would keep an eye on me. DS isn't currently showing any signs of it, but it has a long incubation period so he may well get it.

meglet · 09/01/2008 10:05

mustsleep to work out your due date go to the BBC site and use their fab pregnancy calendar. It gives you a little fact every day, its like an advent calendar for pregnant women

d0gsbody · 09/01/2008 12:00

Hello, may I join your happy band?

This is my first time at all this and it all feels faintly surreal.

My vitals:
D0gsbody (aged 33) - EDD 10th Sept (first baby) (West London)

Weed on a stick on Saturday and trundled down to the doctors yesterday morning. This turned out to be a good thing as there's a desperate shortage of Maternity Units in my area so the earlier you book the better. Didn't think I'd have to be making decisions about that for weeks, months even!

Doc gave me some faintly disturbing compliments on my 'tubes' (got pregnant first time we tried) and my pelvis (which is nice and big, apparently). I guess I'm flattered..!

Head is nowhere near as sorted as my body. I'm all over the place, worrying about a thousand things beyond my control and waking up 2 or 3 times a night. Hopefully I'll calm down soon - don't think I could cope with another 8 months of this!

I was actually going to do something even more anal - put the dates first, then names, then ages, etc etc! I am resisting currently though.

You might have seen me around Starlight, seeing I spend far too much time on MN.

However, it is more likely that you say "who?????" when I let the cat out of the bag.

But I am enjoying the mystery and suspense. More exciting than RL

Starlight - it is you that's still bf a toddler isn't it? How's it going? My ds seems to be wanting to feed even more. He obviously hasn't read the bit that says that many toddlers don't like the change in taste.

OP posts:
hopefully · 09/01/2008 13:21

I am fairly anal at all times, but I think it may have got worse! Maybe I can count that as a symptom. I am so depressed by my lack of symptoms. I know it's a complete old wives tale that no symptoms means an unhealthy pregnancy but I am still worrying! It is not helped by my phobia of missed miscarriages.

meglet · 09/01/2008 13:29

I just looked on Google and have found airline style sick bags for sale on the internet. I think I might get small pack just in case I get sick when I'm out and about.

DebitheScot · 09/01/2008 13:31

mustsleep- I have really bad wind too. I think its hilarious! So ladylike, I know!
No other symptoms here either excpet the odd twinge round my pelvic area, right hand side mostly. Guessing they don't mean anything bad.

I see a few of you have done several pg tests, am I the only person to only do 1? Last time round I only did 1 too and was quite fine with that (even though I had no symptoms) but this time I do every now and again get the urge to do another one. Don't know why though, its not going to tell me anything different. Can't be bothered to go and buy one though.

Still not phoned doc, suppose I should really. Last time I was seen by a midwife at about 8 weeks I think. I'm going to ask if I can just make midwife appoint but suspect they'll make me see doc, waste of time really.

ALLwillBeRevealed · 09/01/2008 13:51

I've only done one test Debbie. I am tempted to do the other one from the twin pack, but have decided that there's really not a lot of point. My period is regular as clockwork, so it's non appearance keeps me convinced, coupled with the amount of food that I am eating

I've just seen your post in breast/bottle feeding Starlight. How will you feel if he stops? My ds is such an addict that I am guessing that I will probably end up tandem feeding....
