Hello!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
fluffymummy · 16/01/2008 15:07

MrsMc - huge, enormous, supportive {{{{{hugs}}}}} being beamed at you from London...that sounds so awful and stressful for you, even without an imminent baby to deal with. Does your father have a date for the next batch of surgery yet? I guess the good thing is that they've picked up on it straightaway....

One (little) correction - I'm due on 22nd (due date buddy with Katy not Pussycat!!), so list should read:

Luckysalem due 2/1
Lilyloo due 5/1
Mum2soms due 9/1
Angechica due 14/1
Me due 15/1
Katyt due 22/1
Fluffymummy due 221
Pussycatmomma due 24/1
Nicky6 due 28/1
Lolo due 31/1
Madmouse due forgotten
Iwillbe due 27/1
Efmc due 2/2

As for the others, Letsgo, BeckyAu and MrsBiscuit were around a week or two ago, and hadn't popped yet...but haven't been back....so there might be more news there!

AngeChica · 16/01/2008 15:10

A couple of the above have had their babies for sure (Spud01 and Angelcake99). Might try and update the list again after I have been out with the dog.

I was looking out for news on Mixedmama too... She was going to be induced on Fri 11th. Nothing on here or Dec thread or Facebook as yet!

AngeChica · 16/01/2008 15:18

PS Sorry to hear about your Dad MrsMc. It always sounds scary but apparently BCC are the most treatable form of skin cancer...

MrsMcJnr · 16/01/2008 15:24

Thanks Angechica Amani posted on the PN thread this morning that Mixedmama had her son Ediz on 11/1 - can't remember all the details but think he was a good weight and know they are both well

gingeme · 16/01/2008 16:03

Only me. Just to let you know I have put some pics of George on my profile

madmouse · 16/01/2008 16:39

Just amending the list:
Luckysalem due 2/1
Lilyloo due 5/1
Mum2soms due 9/1
Angechica due 14/1
Me due 15/1
Katyt due 22/1
Fluffymummy due 221
Pussycatmomma due 24/1
Nicky6 due 28/1
Lolo due 31/1
Madmouse due forgotten 30/1
Iwillbe due 27/1
Efmc due 2/2

MrsMc how horrible about your Dad. I hope it will all go well.

Don't worry, you will make more of the white stuff

Susiemj · 16/01/2008 17:46

I'm sorry to hear your father is ill, Mrsmc. but you're already doing the best thing possible - giving him something to look forward to.

OP posts:
katyt1 · 16/01/2008 19:46

madmouse - i'm not too worried about induction, yet, but i never imagined making past my previous date of 38+1 and now have to prepare myself to go over as there are just no signs of activity in/down there. dh away until tomorrow night, but thinking of getting him to help out over the weekend ....

mrsmc - sorry to hear about your dad, hope the next surgery can happen quickly and smoothly & it sorts things out.and yes you will make more... may try out my pump this weekend too.

gingeme - love the pics your house must be a bit mad with the 3 young ones around. still having my panic moments of omg, how the hell will i manage with 2, may invite the in-laws to stay forever!! and that's saying something coming from me

fluffy - any signs from you, due date buddy????

had a good day here, bath, shopping, tv and doze, then picked up ds, had some fun walking around watching builders down the round and seeing a girl on her scooter (oh the little things!), then tea, bath and bed.
bad news tho, ds seems to have gone off the night garden (heavensent tv for those with no lo's at home!!!). have to find something else asap!

right, time for dinner then more tv, got some sky+ to catch up on.

gingeme · 16/01/2008 19:54

Thats tragic katy1 your ds going off The night garden thats the highlight of my lo's day. They both just love it !

katyt1 · 16/01/2008 20:04

i know gingeme!!!
maybe he's just had too much recently - tho we haven't had many tv days recently - and needs 'some time away'!
hope he gets back into it soon. he still loves his singing iggle piggle tho!

gingeme · 16/01/2008 20:15

We got one of those for ds4 for christmas. He just loves it.
Got to admit I am dreading dh going back to work next week. I think the ornings are going to be the worst trying to get ds3 off to school on time. Well Ill just have to play it by ear for a while.

AngeChica · 16/01/2008 20:24

Lovely pics of George Gingeme, he is a very peachy baby!

ayrshirelolo · 16/01/2008 21:47

Hello all!
Mrs McJ - sorry about your dad, hon, you must be pretty frantic with worry although if they've caught it early i imagine he should be fine... let us know what they're saying! My mum had a malignant melanoma way back in 1984 and has been completely ok ever since, still runs up mountains for fun so think positive mate! and if you come up witha good reply to "oh, have you not had the baby yet?" let us know! my best is "oh my god, neither i have! An oversight, i'll get on with it now then, shall i?" in sarky tone, but you have to be carefulwho you say it to!!
Nicky6 thanks for info re night sweats, last time i didn't get them but had loads of fluid retention which wouldn't go away, carpal tunnel syndrome, could only wear flip flops etc.... so logical that body is getting rid of fluid! Just shows you though, one of the ladies on the Feb thread asked a midwife who told her it was def hormones!! Ah, if only they could all agree!!!
Fluffy how you enjoying mat leave? hope you're letting the office fend for themselves and not getting too bogged down in queries from them!
Gingeme - George is lovely!!!! and that's a lovely photo of the three of them! Can imagine how hard it's going to be next week though.... eeeek! Good luck!!!
and Katy too.... i know, the good thing about Night Garden is it's on for a reasonable length of time! I've bought the magazine for dd recently, it's got stickers and free gifts and although it's obviously completely crap she loves it!! I did feel guilty today though, we had a bit of a telly day as i was feeling rotten and when we were playing with her "phone" this afternoon and i asked who she was speaking to she said "Poi" and pointed to the telly! OOoooooo.... bad mummy guilt emotion! My baby is bonding with a tv presenter!!!!
Madmouse how's you today? And Angechica? how you feeling hon? Lillyloo you hanging on in there? Mum2sons, Pussycat, Efmc, iwillbe, everyone else? you all ok? i'm just getting fed up and more and more tired, thought the iron tablets might help with the tiredness thing but it seems not! Oh well, end is in sight, 38 weeks tomorrow!! chins up ladies, hope Lucky is holding her wee one already! no doubt we'll hear soon! sleep well all (Haaaa!!!!!! that'll be right!!!) lolo x

nicky6 · 17/01/2008 00:20

hi all internet has been down all day and thought oh no i will miss all the babies being born but back on again now although bit tired so only a little post from me.

Well tomorrow is the 1st day when i do not have to get up for some workman or another arriving at the house so i am planning a lie in - plus hopefully a good nights sleep.

Try not to worry - they will all come out in their own good time one way or another. And it sounds like once they arrive it would be nice to put them back again just for the odd half hour!!!! how very bad of me.

Anyway off to sleep for me and good luck and labour vibes to everyone xxxx

PuppyDogEyes · 17/01/2008 09:03

Grrrrrr....

Xtina aguilera, nicole richie and DH's friend, all got preg after me and all had their babies already.

i feel like i've been preg forever, (found out straight away) and now past my due date looking at being induced, in 9 days.

point of this post? just that its not fair, wanted to have mine first!!!

probably flipping j-lo will have hers before me!!

(not a particular sleb watcher, but you can¨t help hear about pregnancies)

PuppyDogEyes · 17/01/2008 09:06

stupid post, i know!!!
just feel...Grrrr!

Beapatient · 17/01/2008 09:44

i'm in same irrational boat; not even overdue, due 29 jan, but irritated by slebs having their early c sections and irritated by everyone and everything generally.

including dh who is referring to our birth plan and telling me i shoudnt have pethidine as it's 'dangerous'. i'm keen to do without if poss, and not to have an epidural, but may need more than gas & air and resent being told what to do. i know it's all shared but at the end of the day it's us, the women, who give birth isn't it.

is anyone else in a real grump in their last 7/10 days?

gingeme · 17/01/2008 10:51

Yes me and Ive had my baby . Think it may be to lack of sleep. Though saying that I actualy got some sleep last night. Had fun about 3 am baby had a choking fit. Tried to burp and sneeze and feed all at the same time I think. Lots of milk coming out of his nose while he was trying to catch his breath. Calmed him down and then changed his nappy on our bed where he had an explosion that end too. Double quilt is in the washing machine as we speak. Little monkey.

betterhalf · 17/01/2008 11:31

I so know how you all feel. I'm not due til the 24th but am sick of hearing of all these celeb's babies already here. Also had a friend due after me who's had her baby. I can't remember a time when I wasn't pregnant now.
Also am grumpy and miserable one minute then happy and manically active the next. I'm also sick of my lack of sleep and turning over virtually every hour because my hips are hurting. Then when I need to turn over, its such a mammoth task because of my size! Grrrr.

mum2sam · 17/01/2008 11:34

Just thought id add my name to the list of those waiting:
Luckysalem due 2/1
Lilyloo due 5/1
Mum2soms due 9/1
mum2sam due 12/1
Angechica due 14/1
MrsMcJnr due 15/1
Katyt due 22/1
Fluffymummy due 221
Pussycatmomma due 24/1
Nicky6 due 28/1
Lolo due 31/1
Madmouse due forgotten
Iwillbe due 27/1
Efmc due 2/2

Thoroughly peed off now and was annoyed to read about the celebs who've had theirs already-not far . I said to dh last night if we were rich i could of had a c-section by now goes against what i normally think but im so tired and uncomfortable that im getting desperate....

Mw did a second sweep yesterday and apparently babies head is bobbing in and out of my pelvis no wonder im so sore. Im 4cms dialated and my membranes are bulging grrrrrr so why wont baby come...

Hope everyone is ok and hopefully it wont be too soon.

lilyloo · 17/01/2008 14:26

well i still here so looks like i am going in for induction tom feeling thoroughly fed up but that's the way it goes i guess. Am currently 40+12 today so doubt lo coming on it's own. Am just going to go with it tom and hope it's not too horrific!
Will hopefully be back on over the weekend with news of my lo and hopefully lucky will already have posted about hers!
Take care all LL x

MrsMcJnr · 17/01/2008 14:38

Hey ladies We saw the consultant today and she seemed pretty relaxed which was great. She basically said that my risks in being overdue are in her opinion the same as anyone else?s and therefore she is in no great hurry to induce. I personally have always felt that my EDD was actually 17th or 18th rather than the 15th because of when I ovulate anyway. So, we have an appointment to see her again next Thursday if the baby hasn?t arrived by then. A CTG told us all was fine today so that was a relief. She did check me too and things seem to be softening and dilating so that was positive her parting shot was that she was on call Friday and Sunday if I could manage one of those dates

Gingeme ? all your nippers are gorgeous and George is sooo cute too! sounds like lots of washing for you today

Thank you all for your kind words about my Dad, much appreciated

Lolo ? thanks for the inspiration from your Mum hope she keeps well. We went through the big C with my Dad when he had a to have a kidney removed 10 years ago. All was fine, the cancer was contained and he got the all clear and I know this is not related to that but it brings back all those feelings again. I know he?ll be fine but I just wish I could hug him and he wasn?t so far away . I was quite low over Christmas as it was our turn to be over there and my whole family were but we couldn?t go and I know my Dad really missed us my Mum is trying to convince him to let them both come over here at the beginning of Feb for a 2nd opinion (always nice to hear medical things in your own language too) I hope they do so I can introduce Beanie to them and give my Daddy lots of hugs I love the sarky reply to impatient callers, it?s definitely up there with ?yes, I had it at the kitchen sink 10 minutes ago and now I am mopping up the mess? which is the best I?ve come up with so far! I have to say, I started to get fed up last night, maybe because I was scared about my appointment today (which was totally fine) but now I am on a roll again, tons of things I want to get done before the big day

Nicky6 ? hope you enjoyed your long lie I missed mine this morning and am shattered now!

LOL Puppydogeyes loved your post! I didn?t know J-Lo was preggers!

Beapatient ? don?t worry hon, the MWs will be listening to you not your DH! I suspect when he sees what you?re going through he?d gladly give you anything you want (what stage should I ask for an eternity ring do you think!? )

Betterhalf ? I know what you mean about turning in the night, it is such an enormous effort!!

Hello Mum2Sam, I had you on my ?what?s happening there?? list ? that?s all sounding positive, it can?t be long for you can it?

MrsMcJnr · 17/01/2008 14:39

Crossed with you Lilyloo - hope it happens tonight which failing, goes really, really well tomorrow - not long until you are holding your baby!

nicky6 · 17/01/2008 16:30

lillyloo - good luck for tomorrow and look forward to holding the new little arrival - I'm sure form what everyone says the rest will pale into insignificance.

mrs mc - didnt get lie in as suddenley had loads of stuff i had to do this morning but have taken it relatively easy from about 3pm so not too bad.

Am off to hospital tonight fro the guided tour as it occurred to me that I am now 38+4 and perhaps leaving it til next week to find out where to go is a bit risky and be just my luck for it to come in between times - although my thoughts are it will come on the 2nd mainly because i like the idea of the second of the second.

My mum coming up for the day tomorrow and staying overnight maybe my sis popping in as well. So planning takeaway and good chick flick. Am also going to get some nursing bras.

My midwife told me that she gave birth in an old shirt of her husbands - in fact the one he wore on their first date - isnt that sweet.

Hope your dad is ok and lots of happy thoughts going out to you.

Have found a salsa babies class that you can go to when the bay is 6 weeks or so where you all dance with babies in slings thought it sounded fun - they have them all over apparently. I used to dance a bit of salsa so quite looking forward to maybe having another go.

Anyway good luck all - very worrying when thread is so quiet - i feel i might be the only one left soon xx

madmouse · 17/01/2008 16:32

Hi all

Mum2Sam you copied the wrong list, now I am down as due date forgotten again, I had amended it to 30/1

Lilyloo, hope that your lo makes a last minute bid for freedom tonight!

I had the distinct impression mine was digging his way out with a JCB yesterday, he was completely hyperactive, but he is still in. Getting occasional contractions and pains, a few in a row and then they stop again. Seeing mw tomorrow, may ask if she can have a peep inside to see what is happening, as I have been niggling away since Saturday now.

Woke up at 4.30 with pain in my hips, tossed and turned, at 6 took a paracetamol and went back to sleep, but everytime I did DH shook me as I was snoring. In the end I got up and fell asleep on the sofa where DH found me at 8.30 so stiff I could not get off by myself. Oh well, at least we both had some sleep.
