Wow I missed loads yesterday not being able to get back on line after balamory finished!! I think I'm going to have to buy a video to keep ds occupied abit longer in future, ha ha.

Sophmum, thinking of you and good luck for today, please let us know how it went.

Uwila, good luck for this afternoon. I know what you mean about having things sorted in your head...before we went we'd decided to have a cvs immediately if a high risk predicted, and then a termination if any chromosonal disorder (except Turner's) was diagnosed. I think it's so important to think about what you'll do with the information once you're given it, especially as at that time emotions will be very highly charged. Sorry this is too deep, I'll stop now

Sweetheart - congratulations for even attempting the accountancy exams - I had the choice years ago ( ha ha you weren't even at school then!!) of doing AAT and then ACCA but decided I couldn't face another exam after leaving school. Luckily the market I work in is quite specialised and experience goes along way, but I'd be buggered if I wanted to go into another industry

Off to read the breastfeeding threads to see what I missed...

Tessiebear · 16/11/2004 13:07

Thanks for the link Sweetheart - i had a quick skim through! I have got opinions on the subject but when threads get like that i keep my opinions to myself!

Sophmum · 16/11/2004 14:57

Thanks for all your thoughts everyone. Bad news I'm afraid. There was no growth and no heartbeat this morning, so looks as though the pg never progressed beyond 6 weeks.

I have D + C booked for Thursday afternoon.

Feel sad, but not too bad at the moment. I think I must just be practical and accept that it was not meant to be this time. Having a week to think about it has made it easier in a way.

I wish you all the very best for your pregnancies, and thanks for all your support.

I'll maybe pop back on to say hello if (if) I have a successful pg in a few months time.

teabelly · 16/11/2004 15:00

Oh Sophmum, so sorry to hear your news. Take care and you definitely have to pop back and tell us if you have some better news in a few months ((((hugs))))

Lua · 16/11/2004 15:05

Sophmum,
Big hugs! So sad to hear your news! Glad to hear that you are taking as well as possible. Looking forward to hear good news in the near future !

MrsWednesday · 16/11/2004 15:08

Sophmum, I'm so, so sorry. I hope things aren't too awful on Thursday. Will be thinking of you and sending lots of love.

You will have another successful pregnancy, this is just one of those awful, random things that happens. So sorry it's happened to you.

Sending lots of love and hugs.x

Mirage · 16/11/2004 15:42

Tessiebear · 16/11/2004 19:14

Sophmum - so sorry to hear your news. God bless. What a sad day on MN. Hester from the ttc thread has had a v. early m/c ... so sad whenever it happens, however early it was still a little life.

Scraggyaggy · 16/11/2004 22:24

Sophmum - Thinking of you. x

Scraggyaggy · 16/11/2004 22:28

Sorry I haven't been around, felt so unwell over the weekend and then I had Monday booked as holiday and spent all day feeling quite unwell too. I haven't been feeling nauseaous (?) or sick, just really lethargic, off colour, really grey, tired and dull. Is anyone else feeling like that? I bought some Pregnacare stuff today to see if that would help as a kind of "pick-me-up". Fingers crossed.

BUBBALOO · 17/11/2004 06:02

sophmum,
so sorry to hear your sad news.will be thinking of you-take care.xx

sweetheart · 17/11/2004 08:49

sophmum,

So, so sorry to hear your news. I hope your feeling OK - as much as possible at least. Will be thinking of you on Thursday.

katzguk · 17/11/2004 08:49

sophmum - so sorry,

Tessiebear · 17/11/2004 09:43

Feeling really crap today - soooo sick and nothing i do or eat seems to make me feel any better.... just feels like it is never going to end. The main problem is that i feel sick in the night too and if i happen to wake up i cant get back to sleep because i feel so sick Sorry for the moan - i know there are a lot worse off than me, just so tired and everything seems like such hard work. How did your scan go Uwilla??

MrsWednesday · 17/11/2004 09:54

Sorry you are feeling so crap Tessiebear. How many weeks are you now? When does it usually stop for you?

How did it go Uwila? Have been thinking of you this morning. Who's up next for a scan? Is it Lua?

Have nervously booked my nuchal scan for 9am on 30th November.

Uwila · 17/11/2004 09:56

Hi everyone. Sophmum, I'm sorry too.

My scan went well. My risk for DS was 1 in 1195 -- good enough for me. I'm thinking about not going to the FMC one on Friday. I signed on last night to say this, but then I read sophmums sad news, and I didn't really want to gloat about my good news. So, I just signed back off without posting.

Sophmum, I know a couple of people who miscarried for reasons they'll never know on their second pregnancies. And both went on to have a happy healthy pregnancy a few months later. I'm sure it will be the same for you. Will be thinking of you tomorrow though. I don't really know what's involved with a D + C, but I rather imagine it isn't pleasant.

Would anyone on here believe I STILL have a bloody migraine? (bring out the violins!) I thought it had gone away yesterday, and about an hour later it reappeared on the other side? Wht the F* is that about? I've read that migraines can change sides mid headache, but it's never happened to me. Well, I guess now I know. GRRR...

Uwila · 17/11/2004 09:59

Oh, and my official due date is now 29 May. So I am definitely cheating by posting on this thread. But, I like this thread. So I'm staying... even if you don't want me to.

Great news Uwila, really pleased and relieved for you .

Hello and welcome Myermay. If you scroll down a bit there is a list of everyone here and their due dates which should help you get to know everyone. How have you been feeling?

Lua · 17/11/2004 10:48

Good morning everybody,
I am in a moaning mood myself ! I am having such a hard time sleeping! Anyone else suffering with stuffy nose? I had it in my last pregnancy , but it wasn't as bad... Anyone know any tricks to solve the problem?

Uwila - I am so glad your scan went well! I was thinking about you the whole day. I hope I can get odds like yours, I am dreading I'll get something borderline.

myermay - wellcome aboard! I am supposedly due the 3rd, but I will have my first scan this friday. So who knows they probably would put me on the May board .

screggy - I went to a couple of weeks where I felt really terrible, but it did got better last week. How far are you? it will probably end soon!

teabelly · 17/11/2004 11:15

Morning all,

Myermay welcome aboard

Uwila, glad all went ok - you're odds were like mine (I think mine were 1 in 1050). Of course you've got to stay on this board, like I was told you'll probably go over your dates, and anyway if I can cheat and stay here, so can you

Scraggy, how are you feeling today? I went through a bad period between 8-10 weeks, and then suddenly the nausea and excessive lethargy lifted, and I can even contemplate having more that one cup of tea a day again. This is a big thing for me, I lurve tea (hence the name!) and panicked when I went right off of it...not sure I could have contemplated a future without tea!

Lua, how about putting a couple of drops of olbas oil on your pillow at night, it's herbal and won't affect the baby, but is the best thing I know for clearing stuffy noses

(P.S. scraggy...I added my details to the yahoo page, but can't delete the old due date - I think you may have to as you were the 'author', thanks)

katzguk · 17/11/2004 12:07

morning all
