zinnia - don't knock the absence of pregnancy symptoms, I feel like I have been run over by a bus most days or that could just be because I have two under 4 years old to look after as well. I have the most disgusting taste in my mouth all the time, not metallic more like a small animal crawled in there and died a few weeks ago, nothing I eat or drink makes any difference.

bealcain - I am hoping for a homebirth again this time but draw the line at eating the placenta, they don't look the most appetising things. Maybe I could feed it to the cats I suppose

libralady - 10 weeks already I am 9 today doens't seem like 5 minutes ago you got your BFP and started the thread.

mcchesers - I am back to no appetite as well, only thing for me is once this feeling dead stage passes chances are SPD will kick in and I will feel like someone is hacking at my fanjo and bum with an axe every time I move, sorry I am not a fountain of happy hormones during pregnancy

Paulayates - am amazed you can get a heartbeat on a doppler at this stage, takes the MW about 10 minutes of searching for it and thats at about 16 weeks and you are lying there panicking.

Anyway am going to go and have a liedown on the sofa, DD1 is enjoying playing with the Little People sans DD2's input and DD2 is sleeping.

sweetkitty · 05/12/2007 14:51

Forgot to say Zinnia - I have done about 10 tests so far this pregnancy last one last week, first baby I did about 2 tests a week just to make sure I was still pregnant (barking mad me? never)

santascRUMPELedsuit · 05/12/2007 16:01

Hi All,

LAZYHIPPO - yes acupuncture is for ms. I started getting it regularly about 3 months ago so that I could get to know the guy and it is great for general health/wellbeing. My ms isn't as bad as the first 2 pg so I am positive it helps.

SWEETKITTY - the mouth is either dry with faecal smelling breath or overpoweringly sweet - bleurgh it is horrid.
Feel free to have good whinge on here. That is what it is for I know I am.

I also am of all you ladies with no symptoms. I had to ask at DDs nursery today where the nearest loo was in case I needed to barf - so obviously they all know now too.

Shopping feeling like this is awful. After I dropped DD off (she only goes 1xweek)I went to get messages but you just wander around in a nauseous daze putting random things in your trolley The worst thing is although you feel hellishly sick you just cannot stop thinking about food all the time. Roast chicken and gravy, with lovely mashed potatoes but when it comes to eat it - bleurgh!!

I decided to cheer myself up today and coloured my hair so now I am wondering if DD will recognise me when I go to pick her up

Hope you are feeling a bit better and more positive today PAULA.

Take care allxxx

bealcain · 05/12/2007 16:17

Paula - not sure yet, with bacon i think.

Libralady - i dodnt find out with ds1 til i was 5months, and up until then everyone kept telling me how great i looked as i'd lost so much weight!

paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2007 16:21

I bet you could find recipes somewhere

Divvy · 05/12/2007 16:29

Hello girlies. I havent posted on here yet, only to give you due date. So here I am for my first moan

I feel as sick as a sick thing!

This is my 5th baby, and I have never really suffered from morning sickness at all! maybe this is a boy...or its twins!

I am mostly sick when hungry, so although you fel sick you have eat to make it go away....go figure!

mmm now mashed potatoes sounds very nice for tea!

zinnia · 05/12/2007 16:29

Sorry I know I shouldn't complain about having no ms, much sympathy for all those who do. I am very tired though, and weepy (I got moist-eyed at a Mastercard ad on TV last night. That was quite embarrassing).

sweetkitty · 05/12/2007 17:09

zinnia - don't worry I think with your first it never quite sinks in - you are going to have a BABY at the end of it

divvy - wow I think you win with Number 5 I know theres a number 4 on here and quite a few number 3's sorry you are feeling so sick as well.

santasrumpledsuit - whereabouts are you from? You sound very South West Scottish? So know what you mean about the shopping and opening the cupboards and fridge and going "there is NOTHING in here I want to eat, even though Tesco's has just been" shutting them over and wandering away.

EEC · 05/12/2007 17:13

fishfingers mash and baked beans for tea...

frogmarsh · 05/12/2007 18:43

Hi Zinnia, I am a first timer too and also have virtually no symptoms (sorry to all you ladies with terrible sickness) It's hard to believe you really are pregnant isn't it? I cracked and did another test yesterday which was positive thank goodness. I feel very tired and my boobs have grown quite a bit, those are the things i remind myself of when i am worrying about the baby.

Divvy · 05/12/2007 18:45

It maybe number 5, but my eldest is nearly 19 years old...and due a baby in March herself!

Then the other girls are 15, 13, then 9 months.

I am now full of cheesy mashed potatoes!

EEC · 05/12/2007 18:53

Divvy - do you have 4 girls then? How lovely. I'm one of four and it's great having lots of sisters.

What was it like with the big age gap? mine will be 12 and 10 when no3 comes and I'm a bit nervous about complete change in all our lives. Were your older ones pleased?

Divvy · 05/12/2007 19:03

Yes, all girls, so far!

My older girls have been such a help, and they love the baby to bits!

The age gap, was regretable, only in the fact that we wish we hadnt left it so long for another one.

It has been right back to like your first. With all the first time mum worries as well. I really cant remember what the others were like, and had forgotten so much.

Plus lots of things have changed over the 19 years, from sleeping on belly, then side, then back. From giving cows milk from 6 months, its now formular till 12 months!

I am a very different mum now too! So much more patient, and deep down I know no matter what I do with them, they really do all turn out ok when older

min912 · 05/12/2007 19:04

Hello ladies, felt the roughest I have ever felt yesterday - no actual vomming but spent the whole day just feeling so exhausted and panicking about twins (based on the exhaustion alone of course, no actual evidence!!). Despite a rubbish night's sleep I am actually feeling miles better today! And I'm about to go out and meet a friend for dinner - pizza express so I am thinking starter AND pizza AND dessert (no problems with my appetite, almost ate DS's tea off his plate earlier when he paused briefly).

yum yum yum

paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2007 19:10

I'm so jealous, I wish I felt like eating

mcchesers · 05/12/2007 19:59

I hear ya Paula..not hungry at all. I only eat to keep the sickness at bay. I actually threw up in the street this morning..all the smoke and exhaust from busses..I couldn't hang on.

I ate a microwave rice bowl tonight and it seems to be staying put. The MS sort of comes and goes all day. I did woof down a massive baguette somehow at lunch. It's like I have to sneak in food while I'm stable. I sure hope this all pays off.

Hello new ladies!!

pigleychez · 05/12/2007 20:16

welcome to all the newbies...zinnia ,bealcain, Divvy and anyone else ive missed.

Divvy- wow! Number 5!

First baby for me.

Well ive been feeling fine apart from the tiredness. Untill tonight that this.
Got home from work and DH started making dinner when I started to feel funny. Only mananged a few bites of dinner before falling asleep for an hour.
Still feeling crappy, very achey and tired.
Hope this dont last for long.

Cheryl

paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2007 20:25

You really tossed your cookies in the street? Thats awful

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 05/12/2007 20:29

any one else turned into a style un-icon?

I have lost all sense of direction and pull on one pair of comfortable jeans and a manky top every day
skin and face grey
eyes tired
outlook dull
general vivacity - 0%

any fun to look at or be around zilch?

paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2007 20:34

I've only been in PJs since Friday

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 05/12/2007 20:35

lol!

pigleychez · 05/12/2007 20:39

my DH has said on occasions first thing in the morning on the way out to work "Blimey you look rough" - Yeah thanks for that! we have a laugh about it

I work in a Nursery and although none of the parents know yet a few have apparently mentioned to other members of staff asking if im ok as I look really really tired and not my usual cheerpy self.
Oh well, I'll explain after xmas and im sure they will understand.

sweetkitty · 05/12/2007 20:44

I look awful, grey skin, spots, lank hair I am still waiting for that pregnancy bloom, I am trying hard not to have that Mummy uniform of jeans, trainers, comfy top and try to put make up on every day.

Am so of all this talk of food, I bought two giant packs of Starburst sours today they are the only thing that takes the death breath away, my throat is getting better though so thats one thing.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 05/12/2007 20:48

oooh that reminds me...i have 2 boxes of york fruits downstairs..gelatine free jellies
well if a pregnant woman cannot indulge a whim who can?
ate fresh pineapple last night and it tatsed
great

mcchesers · 05/12/2007 22:07

ok, I'm not proud of chucking up in the street, but to be fair I wasn't the only one..it was early and it was just a bit of banana.

P - I wonder if I can eat fresh pineapple as cold things seem to work on my tummy. Oh yeah I look like crap too. Can't get my hair to do anything and my makeup is all smeary BUT I have found a few big dresses and got some XL tights and have managed to dress myself for work. At least it's a new project and these people have never seen me before. I just hope that I will look forward to eating soon. I miss not hating food.

SK- what is SPD? now I'm curious
