Kitty - fingers crossed for you, am thinking of you.

Min - I kow just how you feel, my 3 closest girl friends went off on our annual weekend away without me - they didn't want me to take dd so I couldn't go! They either have no kids or theirs are much older and semi independant. I'm the youngest in the group by about 10 years, but its never seemed an issue before.

Bealcain - I've had horrid period type pains for the last fortnight, am assuming it's growing pains. The midwife said they're often worse with 2nd, 3rd etc. pregnancies.

I'm on facebook too - but haven't told anyone on there - am waiting until after scan! I must look for the mumsnet group...

thinking of you Kitty xxx hope it is all okay.

bealcain - I'm thinking of a ring sling. We have a baby bjorn, which DH loves, but I found the baby too heavy after about 8 weeks old in that. I will def be coming for advice later on!

Feb - good luck on the August thread!

I got my scan date changed to Tues 18th (a week today) which removes my childcare prob - but Kitty is right, for most appointments the DC have to come, because I can't leave them at home! I'm pleased because that's 3 days less to wait!

Did another pg test yesterday. I had one left in the pack and it was calling me! (it was very positive!)

Feeling pretty fine at the mo - belly swelling, but no clothing criss yet. Don't think anyone else can really tell - they prob think it's doughnuts. And my tits are looking great! They've filled out from a droopy a cup to a bouncy b cup! Woo Hoo!

PS on facebook look for an application aclled baby and pregnancy countdown ticker. You get a 3d view of a baby at whatever stage you are and a countdown of days to due date. This is a bit daunting at first - I still have 202 days to go!

worried about you Sweetkitty keep us posted

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 11/12/2007 11:58

Just been back to the toilet and some brown gunk when I wiped. Still very worried. Don't have a midwife yet got my booking in appointment with the GP tomorrow. EPU is a nightmare a week wait for a scan and then I would have to take the DDs too don't think DP could get more time off work.

I had two big bleeds with DD1 including one which splattered the toilet with red blood and she was fine, am hoping this is nothing as I cannot even think about losing another one.

isaidhohoho · 11/12/2007 12:03

brown is less sinister than red - indicates old blood. So you do not have a constant bleed.

OP posts:
paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2007 12:17

What about the emergency room?

I hate the NHS, everything takes so long. Can't believe the EPU can't see you right away.

Is there any cramping?

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 11/12/2007 12:22

no cramps just one red bleed with a few clots and then a brown one, haven't had sex recently so not that

Paula - I know this sounds harsh but I wouldn't go and sit in Casualty for hours just for a scan if I am mcing theres nothing that can be done anyway and I can't take the DDs to casualty with me anyway.

Am seeing GP tomorrow will either ask him to refer me to the EPU or will self refer.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2007 12:30

Well I'm thinking about you, I hope evrythings ok.

Kezza25 · 11/12/2007 12:44

Hi guys!

I am totally new to this, but really wanted somewhere I can get some support from fellow pregnant ladies!!

I am 10 weeks today (first pregnancy) and still really anxious about everything! I have my scan on Jan 2nd so have xmas to take my mind off of everything until then!!

I have no real symptoms so am convincing myself something is wrong!

xxx

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2007 13:12

Welcome Kezza

santascRUMPELedsuit · 11/12/2007 13:38

Hi All,

SWEETKITTY - everything anf more crossed for you and sending you mega sticky vibes.xxxx Rest if you can.

Bealcain - thanks for the info. No doubt we will revisit before the big days!

Welcome Kezza.

Feb you are going over to the OTHER side New names to learn - takes me long enough on the 2 I'm on just now!

MIN912 - On my hen weekend my bf was always off with her other bf and never around (even though she was my bridesmaid) and acting very odd. Turns out she had decided to have a secret wedding the week before mine and she was using my hen weekend as hers too! I found out after 2 days.
I forgave her that as she liked to be the centre of attention but we fell out big time a couple years later - over kids! We always accommodated the fact she had kids and for once we wanted to go out for an adult meal so I never invited her as I knew she would not come and she would try to change us to go out somewhere else - so she didn't speak to me for ages - even though I was honest as to why she hadn't been invited. IMO it works both ways - you accommodate friends who have kids and vice versa. Sorry you had a rubbish time though. You can make uP for it at Christmas.

My house is a pigstye - we haver just had a conservatory added on and they are putting down hardwood flooring for us - I was hoping they would be finished ny today but not until tomorrow and the inlaws are coming this weekend - arggg! LO and I have been trapped upstairs all day.

Anyone else having problems sleeping? I awoke at midnight last night and couldn't get back to sleep until 5.30 then DH was up for work. I keep waking up boiling boiling hot hot hot!!! and sooo thirsty then I can't settle again.

Big giant post again - must go as LO is calling.

Hope you are all keeping well and let us know how you are tomorrow KITTYxxxx

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 11/12/2007 14:25

no new spotting since last knicker check I honestly cannot cope with this now I was even beginning to believe this one maybe alright

minFrostytheSnowman912 · 11/12/2007 14:30

Whoever it was that asked - was my 35th birthday on Sunday (hence the 9/12 in my nickname!). So definitely in mid-thirties now - oldest of those 3 friends is 29, youngest is 26, hasn't really seemed like a problem before now... I do have friends from school who are my age and now having kids so it might just be a case of spending more time with them!

It's my dad's birthday tomorrow so we are seeing him and my mum for dinner, I had been thinking I'd tell them at xmas but now it seems too long! Plus it will be a nice birthday pressie for him (hopefully!)

isaidhohoho · 11/12/2007 17:39

Santa - I keep waking up dying of thirst too!

But as for temp - I am mostly cold.

Welcome Kezza

kitty i know it is easy to say but try to relax
i did during my 3 weeks spotting due to the doppler thing.
have you got scan appt. i think it sounds hopeful though having gone quickly to brown...try to stay calm if more comes
i have bled with 4 healthy pregnancies in varying amounts ..does not stop me fretting but does make me realise it does happen and babies are hanging on
i wish you had a doppler x

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2007 18:28

How are things now Kitty?

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 11/12/2007 18:59

PaulaYates - would a doppler pick up a HB? MWs can hardly find a HB at 16 weeks.

paula - tiny spot of brown nothing new to report. Trying to be positive, will phone EPAS tomorrow even if I have to drag the DDs with me at least I will know.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 11/12/2007 19:01

yes kitty - mine picked it u from 7 weeks!
now it is easy

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2007 19:08

Is there no one who can watch your kids?

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 11/12/2007 20:49

No more new bleeding so guess thats a good thing, DP being less than sympathetic sid to me "how was your day?" I said what happened this morning put it on a bit of a downer and he was like well you might be worrying about nothing no point getting down about it! Doesn't understand at all, OK a rational person would say theres no point worrying when it might be unnecessary but they didn't go through the hell of a natural mc 4 months ago. Sorry to whinge need to rant a bit.

Paula - only people who could have the DDs have at least 2 of their own so it would be too much for them, no family that would help out. I will phone the EPAS tomorrow and see if I can get an appointment tomorrow.

Had a look at dopplers but don't think I can justify spending £80 on one this close to Christmas.

Anyway I hope everyone else is having a good evening and the ms is on it's way out.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/12/2007 21:07

Its diffrent for men. You rant away

MINNIE1 · 11/12/2007 21:32

Kitty
Everything crossed, hope its just a bleed. My DP said the same when i was bleeding with DD2, No matter what your going to worry until you know all is ok. will be thinking of you and hope it's nothing.. [hugs]

Hope all you ladies are ok and MS is at bay.. Still getting bout's of it but got tablets in the health food shop and there helping thank god..
