Hola

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
loucee · 29/11/2007 15:03

Hi everyone

Pecka, sorry to hear your little one is posterior, my DD was as well and like you have been trying to do everything to prevent it this time round. What Op did you have that you say might have caused this?
Hopefully with this being your third birth the baby will be able to turn when you're in established labour. Have you considered any acunpunture or Chinese remedies to help? I'm going to speak to a lady at toddler group tomorrow about who she saw when her baby was posterior.

Love these names, Evie is gorgeous and Wizzska I like Rory

insywinsyspider · 29/11/2007 15:08

Evie/Eve for Xmas or new years eve is lovely - makes it more meaningful - am now thinking of having that as a middle name if that happens to us

congrats JARM!

Pecks - sorry to hear baby is being awkward, been giving you hassels from the start hasn't it! really hope it'll get into the right position for you x

claraq - lol about oral sex and pineapple! whos going first?
also interesting point about pg woman and parking would have to say I wouldn't be impressed if I was shopping with ds and pg woman on her own had last P&T parking... think if there are loads of spaces tho its fine but idea of getting myself and 2 kids (v shortly) out of car would prob take lot longer than pg woman and I'd prob trash a few more cars struggling...

insywinsyspider · 29/11/2007 15:11

oohh just thought Mathilda Eve sounds horrible - might have to scrap that plan... still struggling for middle names!

Wizzska · 29/11/2007 15:26

Congrats Jarm !

mixedmama · 29/11/2007 15:51

Congrats to Jarm... off to see the thread

Hello
Does anyone know if Mixedmama is still about today on here, I mean?
I'm not sure if the meet up is happening? Anyone on here know?
Thanks

Amani · 29/11/2007 17:11

Afternoon ladies,

MM - you know me too well about the cleaning!!! [gri] If I had a cleaner, I would driver him/her up the wall with my fussiness.

Insy - glad it's your last day!

Claraq - how exciting to know the date you will be meeting your LO.

RGPargy - is there a chance LO one turns again?

CONGRATULATIONS TO JARMS

Pregnant brain catching up with me again. Left the house to pick up DD and forgot to lock the front door

mememummy · 29/11/2007 17:48

ive decided on names to its going to be bryony rose or leona ruth (it WILL be bryony tho) ive got the midw tomz for my 38+5 check i tried clary sage bath bomb, with some oil i ate an entire pineapple did the sex thing and went for a walk, and nothin not even a bh!! o well maybe tommorow?

RGPargy · 29/11/2007 17:52

Amani - not me who's baby has turned. I think it was Pecka. You can blame your pg brain for that one.

mellymooks · 29/11/2007 18:02

OOOOOH it's all been happening today!!

Congrats JARM that's great news.
I wonder who will be next.

Love Raphael (sorry don't think that's how you spelt it but you know what I mean!) or Rory best.

Oh feel so ready for this LO to arrive, I was so convinced it was going to come in November rather than December but am starting to doubt that now!

Think i may start on the pineapple/BJ/clary sage regime this wkd too!!

Am getting so many txt's and calls asking if anything is happening yet - it's starting to piss me off already - do they not think i would let them know?!! I know it's nice to be in people's thoughts but it's not helping my own impatience!!

Bouncingturtle · 29/11/2007 18:28

Congrats to JARM on the safe arrival of her baby boy!

Congratulations JARM!

Geting so close now! Starting to get a little nervous. The crib we are borrowing is being dropped off tomo! I think i will prob end up sitiing there all morning fiddling with it.

Checked and double checked hospital bag and think I'm ready now. OMG so close!!!!

loucee · 29/11/2007 21:53

Wow congratulations Jarm. I've got butterflies in my tummy hearing that another baby has arrived. Anyone else think that there's going to be a roll of babies arriving at the same time?!

I'm shattered, DH also has the cough and cold and was coughing most of the night, I couldn't sleep between 2.15 - 4 because of this so started reading a Sainsburys food magazine for inspiration for Christmas food, BIG mistake as then I got hungry and had to come downstairs for cereal!

Bought a winter coat today, it doesn't do up in the middle as it's not maternity but I just hope it does up once baby is here!

For anyone shopping for them - Tescos have pineapples at half price!

bambino1andbigbump · 29/11/2007 22:00

Oh popping to Tesco tomo then. I have two chopped up pineapples in fridge and I keep picking pieces out of bowl now and again. Doubt it works but hey its healthy I suppose.

Went to sains today and got some lovely tops of christmas in their TU sale.

Imawurzel · 29/11/2007 22:05

hi all. Not had time to read all the posts.
congratulations to those that have had their babies already.

How is everyone doing?
My last day at work tomorrow and i really can't wait!!!! YAY!!!

cazzybabs · 29/11/2007 22:07

Tis my last day at work tomorrow too! But unless I am in labour I will still be going in as have to make sure my kids can do their dance for the Christmas show!

I am in trouble - I ordered some on-line pick and mix and they came and dh found the packet...it is truly shopping for the obese! BUT yummmmyyyy I love sweeties and I love pick and mix...have just eaten a few before bed and no doubt will not be able to sleep due to sugar/e-number rush!

Imawurzel · 29/11/2007 22:10

MMMM swwets. Could just do with a big bag of bassetts jelly babies!!!

Housemum · 30/11/2007 00:39

... of course, be careful where you park if you go into Tesco for pineappple!!!

Don't you have to have a car sticker to park in the Tesco spaces? I seem to remember popping into Tesco once when DD2 was in a baby seat - there's not one that local to us, so it was a one-off - and there was a sign saying you had to get a sticker from customer services. To which I thought, "how do I get a sticker other than by parking the car?"

In Asda today a woman gave me a filthy look over a trolley - I only went in to get a few but heavy bits like washing powder so I was wheeling out one of those little trolleys with my one big carrier bag in - a woman came up to me to ask if I could just take my bag out so she could have the trolley, as there were none left so I asked if she'd follow me back to my car and take it from there - if looks could kill, you think I'd have asked her to scale Everest - sorry, but I've got a baby headbutting my bladder and I'm leaning on the trolley as much for support as to carry a load of heavy boxes!! Cheeky mare! (Think she probably just chose to approach me as I didn't look as scary as some of the oddballs you see in our local branch - it reminded me why I normally go to Sainsbury's round here!!)

Wizzska · 30/11/2007 06:49

I'm up early ladies, waters went at 4.30 ish this morning. A real bloody mess. Have got through nearly all the towels in the house already and the bedroom carpet is a nightmare .

Contractions have started I think, but very gently. Wish me, DH and the Boy Wizz luck everyone! .

fifisworld · 30/11/2007 08:14

OOhhh...Good luck Wizzska

Keep us updated if you can!!

Im pissed off, a agirl who works with my mam was due her baby 3 days after me and she's had a dd on wednesday
Why will my baby not come out???
On the plus side, 13 days till cs unless he decides he wants to come out and see us early, which i doubt

Hope everyone else is ok

loucee · 30/11/2007 08:18

Wizzska good luck! how exciting, i hope everything goes well for you. Try and relax as much as possible.... cant wait to hear how thing are going.

loucee · 30/11/2007 08:22

Hi Fifi, don't get down - your friend's baby was nearly 3 wks early, often there's a reason for that. You just cook your babies well wont be long now and he/she might come in the next 13 days.

mellymooks · 30/11/2007 08:27

Thinking of you Wizz, loads a luck, hope all goes well, how exciting

Morning Everyone else! Had quite a good sleep but am feeling very emotional - completely freaked out last night when a picture we tried to hang promptly fell off the wall and smashed taking a very precious vase with it which now has huge chip in it. I just lost it crying and shaking - what is going on with these hormones?

mellymooks · 30/11/2007 08:33
