Hello and congratulations, lovely lot.

It's been a bumpy road so DP and I aren't telling anyone until late September. But I need to talk to someone!!!

@NoseringGirl I'm so sorry to hear that lovely. Sending you a virtual hug 😘❤️

@llamabeans I've actually had a really tough 24 hours. I started bleeding really heavily yesterday evening, rang 111 and was told to go to A&E. they weren't really able to do anything so sent me home awaiting a call today from the early pregnancy unit. I got a call from the EPU at 7 this morning with an appointment at 9. I had convinced myself I had miscarried but thankfully there was a heart beat and the bleeding didn't seem to come from the sack. I'm now a ball of nerves. The next few weeks is going to be so tough.

How are you getting on sweet? xx

@NoseringGirl I'm so sorry to hear this, didn't see your post before I posted earlier. I hope you are ok and I'm sure you will get your sticky bean soon. Lots of love.

@fingerscrossed91 gosh that sounds like an awful couple of days, glad all is ok now. Fingers crossed! X

@NoseringGirl I’m so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed you’ll be back here soon!

@orangekitkat13 Glad the peppermint tea is helping. Still no nausea for me but the exhaustion seems to have set in. Though maybe that is just from trying to wfh with DD in isolation from nursery!

@fingerscrossed91 So glad everything is okay and it must have been so lovely to see a little heartbeat! Hope you’re doing okay today! I’m so tired but have been looking at booking an early scan for a couple of weeks time which has perked me up a bit!

Hi everyone!

I think I might be joining you!

I've had 3 faint positives but also a few negatives so very unsure what's happening currently. Midwife team said to test again friday so I'm really hoping it's not a chemical 😢

I've currently got like full/heavy feeling boobs, a full/pulling sensation around lower abdomen, nausea and headaches too.

I'm so hoping I'll be joining your April '22 baby group 🤞🏼🤞🏼 This will be my first! So so excited and hopeful xx

@llamabeans I feel so tired too. It's a struggle to make it through the day! Other than that I don't really have any symptoms. Who would have thought I'd be wishing for morning sickness 🙈

I am going to get an early scan at 10 weeks. I had a scan at 6 weeks and have another booked for 8 weeks on the NHS (because of the bleed) but I think I might try and get one at 10 too. Also, I've heard the quality of the scans at private clinics are loads better.

Where are you thinking of getting yours done? xx

@HannahD2021 I had both my Covid jabs before I fell pregnant but if I'd only had one I would probably wait until my first midwife appointment and talk to her about it. There's so much contradictory information online I'd want to hear it from someone direct.

@Itsjustme20 eeek congratulations! Have your told your OH yet? xx

I have. We're both all over the place because we don't know if I definitely am yet 😢

I'm hoping we are as we are TTC but who knows 😔 He's so chill about it and saying what happens happens but I'm not patient or rational like that 😂

@HannahD2021 I had my first pre-pregnancy and my second last week with no hesitation whatsoever. I know pregnant women are being strongly encouraged to get vaccinated, so I imagine that is what your midwife will say.

@Itsjustme20 Fingers crossed you're joining us! Keep as all posted!

@fingerscrossed91 I booked it yesterday for 5 Sept when I'll be 9 weeks. Hoping it's a good balance between there being something to actually see and not too close to my 12 week scan so I can see something different both times. :)

Griffer · 11/08/2021 20:01

@HannahD2021 when did you have your first vaccination? I'm guessing it would take you past the advised 12 weeks if you wait until after the first trimester. Maybe you could research how late you can leave having the second, without it becoming less effective.
Also depends which vaccine you had. I think Pfizer had been treated in pregnant women in America, but you'd need to check that.
I think that, knowing there is a big rush to pregnant women ego get COVID, compared to there not looking like there are any adverse affects having the jab in pregnancy (based on the jab being made up of things that have been used in vaccines for many years,), I would probably have the second, but it's easy for me to say, as I've had both mine.
As others have said, discuss it with your midwife and do your own research. You can only make a decision based on what you know.

I'm thinking about doing a private scan at 9 weeks. I didn't at all with my first, but I had a missed-miscarriage last time, so the baby stopped developing at 8+2, so I'd like to know we've made it safely past that point.

I’ve got a scan on Tuesday at the early pregnancy unit when I’ll be 6+2 I know that it’s potentially to early to see the heartbeat so I’m trying not to get my hopes up to much!

Hi everyone, I got my BFP this morning, feeling anxious as I had a bit of blood yesterday when I wiped but trying to not to think too much about that. This will be baby number 1 if it sticks, but I have had 2 early mc's this year. I think I'm pretty much 4 weeks today so very early, no real symptoms yet, hope everyone is feeling ok

@Griffer I have a scan booked for 9 weeks exactly. Seeing that little blob makes it all feel real! Though the nausea is starting to creep in as a constant reminder!

@Wallaroo21 Let us know how it goes! I hope you get to see everything!

Hi @LSW82 and welcome to the club! Fingers crossed this one sticks for you! Smile

Congratulations everyone, I’m really surprised to be here as we weren’t trying. We’ve spent the past week trying to decide whether to keep or terminate but we’ve finally come to the decision. I am absolutely terrified- this will be baby number 3 and we have a 6 and 4 year old already.

My main worries right now are - will this affect the relationship we have with our current children and will it make them hate us?
And also if it will ruin their quality of life.

Juggling the school run and 3 children is also filling me with dread too.

Not an easy road this is it? I hope everyone else is ok!

@Staryflight445 hello 👋
This will also be my third, and like you I am a bit apprehensive about how I will cope with three! My two are 6 and 8. It is a bit scary as like you say it will change the family dynamics but I am hoping they will gain from having another sibling to play with and make a new relationship with.
I felt a bit like this jumping from 1 to 2 and I couldn’t imagine just having one now so hopefully we will feel the same way going from 2 to 3!

Staryflight445 · 16/08/2021 20:27

Hello! @Tealchoc it would be great to keep in touch and document. I’m assuming it was quite a shock for you too?

I’m slowly coming round to the idea every day that it isn’t going to scary. I’m finding the prospect of birth terrifying again though, because I know what to expect haha.

I also felt scared jumping from 1-2. I hear jumping from 2-3 is a lot smoother but I think the gap may make that a bit more challenging?

Hello everyone! Congrats on your pregnancies... I'm due 5th April with my 2nd, 1st one will be 2 this weekend... feeling so sick and tired this time around 😩 found a Mumsnet group so supporting with the first one hoping to join here for no 2 too!

@Staryflight445 - snap! I'm due 22nd April and have four and six year olds (one going into YR, one going into year 2) - I'm very nervous and worried too. Especially as I've been a SAHM and was just hoping to get a career but now I'm going to have months of not being able to work etc cos I'll be pregnant and then more years of being at home. Do you work?

Report
Staryflight445 · 17/08/2021 09:56

I’m in exactly the same position as you @ShoesEverywhere I was just about to start a level 3 and apply for uni for next year.
I’m still going to do the level 3 and I’ll leave it a year to apply for uni I think?
I haven’t worked since I was pregnant with my first as I was a support worker and I was incredibly sick/ it just wasn’t safe.

My youngest is about to start reception and my oldest is going into year 2.

Scary times 😕

I had my scan today and they said I was a few days earlier than I thought so going back next Friday to see again. The could see the yolk sack so going in the right direction. Hopefully will see the heartbeat next time!
They also found a 6cm cyst on one ovary but seems like that’s quite common.

Report
Staryflight445 · 17/08/2021 10:17

Ah that’s great that you could see the yolk sac at least. Hopefully next time you’ll see more 🤞

I was told I had a cyst during my scan too... said nothing to worry about, just something they'd log in case they see any changes in future!

I'm 7 weeks today going on LMP although I ovulated late this month so I'm certain it'll change at the dating scan.
