Sagitta - are you serious?? Are nurseries allowed to do that sort of thing? My DS would have been booted out of his as well then as he loves fruit LOL at Scampmum

sagitta · 05/12/2007 16:22

Sadly, yes. I'm always trying to explain to her that she should poo at nursery once a day, then wait till she gets home! ( I think for the money they can do one nappy a day . I don't think she understands though (not yet two).) Last time she hadn't pooed for a week, which I tired to tell them but she wasn't allowed back.

Glad you got it sorted scampmum. Lol at thought of your boss having to check work/poo ratio!

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 05/12/2007 16:34

Well Ladies, I´m off. Will plough through all your messages on Monday when we get back Have a great 4 days xxxxxxx

sagitta · 05/12/2007 16:40

Have a good time off, Soph.
I've got to go and pick up DD, then take her back again to nursery an hour and a half later for a 'parents evening'. And its pissing down with rain. DD is going to be very annoyed...

ToastandMincePieAddict · 05/12/2007 18:32

Hiya, just got back from scan, all is well and it's a ......

GIRL!!!!

Wasn't really bothered one way or the other, but it's SO good to be able to say "she"

Now got to think names.......

We quite like Maggie at the moment

I looked at dh when the sonographer said it was a girl, and he looked like he was going to cry, which made me cry!

See you ladies tomorrow

Peachy · 05/12/2007 19:07

Congrats TA

Sympathies Natalie- its hard waiting for answers. DS3 has another assesment on December 17th, but at least we have an answer- we're just waiting until someone is prepared to admit to it.

Hd my MW appointment today- all OK. DS1 came as he's off school am (ASD and Christmas don't mix). he enjoyed hearing the heartbeat.
Apaprenlty Obst. has written and OKayed my homebirtha slonga s baby OK at 30 weeks (As if I'd want one otherwise!) and I realsie transfwer to hospital takes time- well, I can do the drive in 10 minutes in an L reg Espace, so not a huge journey.

One more apt at the surgery, then MW coming to my house toa rrange entonox delivery etc- gulp!

Bainmarie · 05/12/2007 20:14

Hope everyone is well and congratulations TA! Had my scan today and all seems well, having a suprise! Dd and ds were excited to see the scan too, which was lovely. I am being referred for a gestational diabetes test as they said ds was a big baby and that may have been why.
Peachy - two more appointments til the birth - that makes it sound very close!

northfeastmummy · 05/12/2007 20:48

Hello everyone! Rubbish day at work today so just catching up on all your news.

Natalie - that's not good about your DS. I hope you don't have to wait too long for answers.

Scampmum - I think the single hardest thing I've had to deal with since I had DD is balancing work and nursery. It's an impossible situation - you just feel guilty no matter what you do! Rubbish ...

Congrats to Bainmarie and Toast for great scans. And Toast - Maggie is my Mum's name and I love it .

My scan is tomorrow at 9.15am. Keeping everything crossed (sigh ...)

Peachy · 05/12/2007 20:51

Well bainmarie i'm 24 weeks now, so technically viable!

That alone is scary enough (MW said she will pop over last few weeks just to do BP etc but informally)

scampmum · 06/12/2007 08:35

Good luck northfeastmummy and thanks so much for your empathy! means a lot. I always feel that I'm failing. Had it out with the nursery girl last night - she was ignoring me when I got there but I tried to explain how hard it is for me to leave work and how it might seem heartless but I need to work out if it's a real emergency. They did concede that I appear to love my daughter!

She was cross with me too, though. Ran to her carer and wouldn't look at or come to me - big .

Another sh1tty email from boss last night, at least this time it was to the whole team, though. About 30 of us. Entitled 'lassitude ?' and basically accusing us all of being wasters. Yes, he does sit amongst us! I must say I was quite relieved it was to everyone since I was finishing my blooming marvellous order when it arrived!

Can I be the 'jeepers I've got the FEAR about my scan tomorrow' person today?

EllieG · 06/12/2007 08:52

You can indeed. We are all allowed to take it in turns. What time is it? How is DD today?

northfeastmummy - GOOD LUCK! But you are probably already there.

And congrats to bainmarie and TA (yey! another girl!)

Sheds75 · 06/12/2007 09:13

Mornin'

congrats to bainmarie and TA

had a bit of a look at the Dec thread this morning, theres babies arriving all over the place. Kind of scares me but at the same time reassures me. Really don't want to do any work now.

Have 2 more days of packing to do then it is the big move . I love my little house. But I guess onwards and upwards we are a little family now and DP has worked soooooo hard to make the new place look lovely. Sorry for the moan.

paranoidmummy · 06/12/2007 09:24

elfsmummy thank you so much for your help going to try whizzy wheels for def. does anyone know usual delivery time once you place your order for the cameleon? I'd like to wait til end jan ifposs but not sure how many weeks delivery takes.

congrats all on scans and good luckpeeps for today. i haven't been around much lately as i am totally snowed under at work . went to take that on tues night as well which was great! still recovering from late night tho... roll on xmas and then mat leave!

ToastandMincePieAddict · 06/12/2007 10:55

Thanks for the congrats and also the support before the scan

Feel so much closer to the baby now I can say "she"

As well as Maggie, I also quite like the name Megan.....

Scampmum - sounds you are having a real time of it at the moment, well done for keeping your cool!!!

Good luck for any scans today

scampmum · 06/12/2007 11:18

Oh dear, spoke too soon - not at all keeping my cool today. Cannot stop blubbing! Think am going to have to run off to the loo. I think I just want tomorrow to be over. And I can't even get hold of DH because he's out of the office all day and still hasn't replaced his mobile.

EllieG · 06/12/2007 11:22

Oh poor scampmum! Have some chocolate biscuits - I have some here. Will all be fine. Healthy and well, remember!

Like the name Maggie - very sweet. Are you thinking of Margaret or just Maggie? Might have to steal that one meself

scorpio1 · 06/12/2007 11:31

TA - a daughter, wow! i can't wait for mine to be here!

i went to plymouth xmas shopping yesterday, bought lots of nice stuff for myself for xmas.

Dior lipgloss, ck shower gel, boots [dribble], maternity skinny jeans, fluffy cardi, some lush pjs from topshop - they are not maternity but have a big smock top and some jewellery. chinese for tea last night but i deserved it, it was an 11 hr day, inc 4 hrs travelling.

im at uni today, some of the girls are being bitchy with me today because i have had a few days off.

Hope all well?

EllieG · 06/12/2007 11:34

Kick them if they are mean. Are your new boots pointy and up to the job?

scorpio1 · 06/12/2007 11:36

are my boots

so, no, they are not! i cried in my tutorial explaining it.

scampmum · 06/12/2007 11:41

tears all round today, then! had a good sob in the loo then these gossipy women came in and stayed there chatting for about ten minutes so I couldn't go out and sort my face out.

Don't know what's wrong with me. Feel OKish now. Having lunch with a friend I haven't told about the DS risk so she will think I'm bonkers if I keep bursting into tears!

Also have to lead this horrible scary meeting at 2.15 and am worried will start crying.

I'm so pathetic! I need tea. Chocolate biscuits is a great idea.

scampmum · 06/12/2007 11:42

ps love Maggie! I can't believe I've never thought of it. I might steal it too. Scorpio, I can't see your boots.

scorpio1 · 06/12/2007 11:44

click on ladies sheepskin boots in left menu, then the tall black ones

ToastandMincePieAddict · 06/12/2007 11:44

We think that if we go with Maggie (which is her current name, we are trying it out!!), she will officially be Margaret, so she can change her name later in life if she hates Maggie!!

But we will call her Maggie from day 1, so hopefully she will grow up to love it!

Such a big responsibility, isn't it, this naming lark??

scampmum · 06/12/2007 11:51

I like! great with skinny jeans.

ToastandMincePieAddict · 06/12/2007 11:54

Love your boots, scorpio

Group {{{{hugs}}}}}} scorpio and scampmum, and anyone else who needs one!

Scamp - I'm sure you're just in this state because you're worried about tomorrow. Which is perfectly understandble, we'll all be thinking of you and have everything crossed
