EllieG · 05/12/2007 10:00

You and your filthy mind SNSLH! Mind you, am not so far behind - is anyone else having really, um, graphic dreams? Mine are sometimes quite disturbing, I didn't know I was that dodgy! Please say it's not just me....

sagitta · 05/12/2007 10:13

Morning. Sorry to hear about your ds Natalie, hope the next tests come back OK. Good luck.
And good luck with scan, toast.
V of the guinness, sheds. Health visitor told me to drink it when I was bf-ing DD as I had iron deficiency. Yummy. When I took DD to be weighed, HV said she looked like a 'guinness baby'!

Sheds75 · 05/12/2007 10:17

OOH no the shopping bug, thanks for the tip Toast don't forget also if you put in the code PBT2 you get another 15% off. Happy shopping

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 05/12/2007 10:52

Sagitta - what does a guinness baby look like? Ellie - had my first "naughty" dream the other day but it wasn´t very graphic, just woke up all flustered - weird!!!

TLSM · 05/12/2007 11:17

Hi Guys been away for a bit so will have to read through the tone of posts you have made

We went up to London on Monday to see Father Christmas ended up going to Selfridges as have heard Harrods isnt very good (have put pic on profile) Had a really good day also went to the Rainforest Cafe which was cool but expensive!

All is well with bubba although I have just relized my 20 week scan is at 21+3

Right best go back and read the book you lot have written!

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 05/12/2007 11:35

TLSM - pleased you had a great time, I´m very there´s nothing like that here because they celebrate Three Kings in January & it´s not the same.

SuzeM · 05/12/2007 11:36

Toast:Thanks for posting about the sale. I just put in an order.

TLSM, my 20 week scan is at 22 weeks, the first available appointment apparently!! I couldn't wait that long so went somewhere privately.

EllieG · 05/12/2007 11:55

I think I would have died if I had to wait that long! I am so impatient. Can't go privately here for stuff like that so would've just had to wait. I should hopefully be getting another scan though if they agree with my complaint about the horrid sonographer!

SuzeM · 05/12/2007 12:15

EllieG, hope you get another scan. I missed what you said about her, what happened?

EllieG · 05/12/2007 12:18

She was just really rude and dismissive. Wouldn't let me see the screen for ages, asked her what she was doing and if everything was looking OK and she told me to be quiet because she needed to concentrate and she would talk to me after. Wouldn't let DSD in for ages and when she was 'allowed' in, acted as this was a complete waste of her time. I explained that had had a MMC and that I was only asking whether things were OK because I was nervous and she just said 'Hum yes well please let me concentrate' or words to that effect. Was just not the positive family time I had hoped for, and I was so worried until she told me things were OK that I was nearly crying. Silly moo.

SuzeM · 05/12/2007 12:21

She sounds like a complete cow! Hope you get another scan with a nice sonographer this time.

EllieG · 05/12/2007 12:24

Yes, I think I should. Was really cross for poor DSD as well - her Mum died about 3 years ago, and stuff like this really helps her in bonding us all and she loves the reassurance of knowing that she has a permenant Mummy-figure and that she's going to have a sister. Really wanted it to be a happy experience, but instead the woman was so horrid she was all subdued poor thing.

rainbowdays · 05/12/2007 12:25

Toast - hope the scan goes well.

Ellie - yay on getting hit back.

Scorpio - congrats on finding out its a girl.

Natalies - sorry to hear that you still having puking, hope it stops soon for you.

TLSM and Suzem - I actually asked for a 21 week scan, as at 20 weeks they sometimes cant see things clearly, then you have a couple of weeks of worry til they can rescan you. At 21+ weeks they generally can see everything clearly apparently. Hope this puts a positive spin on having to wait longer?!

I am still not happy that I could not be told gender of this lo, I really really want to know now !!!!! But it does give me an excuse to go for a 3d scan at christmas, I can't really afford it but just also have the excuse that dh has not been able to come to any of my scan appts yet either, so this way he will get to see bubba too.

I am feeling rough from being aneamic, I think the iron suppliments might be starting to kick in but only just.

I have another midwife appt tomorrow - My 4th (yes 4th!!) BOOKING appt. It appears when you move to a different part of England you have to get another one done, and I have moved so many times over the last few months I am getting fed up of having to explain: why I am where I am and why I have so many previous notes with me, and that I will not be giving birth in their region anyway..... Oh well, at least I am managing to keep up with all the checks that I need to get done. Dreading finding ++ glucose in urine tomorrow too as that will mean having to go for tests for gestational diabetes on top of everything else.

Sorry this post has been very me me me, just got carried away with chatting!

EllieG · 05/12/2007 12:26

How come you've moved so much rainbowdays?

rainbowdays · 05/12/2007 12:27

Ellie - sorry crossed posts, I meant getting kicked back by the baby in my earlier post. Sorry to hear about your horrible sonographer, hope they do get you another appt and soon.
