I don't think it's vain, I just think it has the potential to be confusing! I like my name (Francesca) and have thought about it as a middle name. Hated it when I was little, though.

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 15:46

My middle name is my mums name (Lynette)

SuzeM · 04/12/2007 15:46

Francesca is very pretty, I love Italian names.
Yeah, it could be very confusing, I am named after my aunt, we were known as little Suzanne (me) and big Suzanne (her), not sure I want to be known as Big Suzanne now!!

EllieG · 04/12/2007 15:48

I had home made (smug preen emoticon) chicken noodle soup that made with leftover roast chicken.
And a satsuma.

Spoiled it by eating piece of ginger cake, 3 chocolates, and 2 biscuits oh god am such a piggy

EllieG · 04/12/2007 15:48

I think I can feel the baby moving!!!! So exciting! Hope it's not just wind after so much food.

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 15:49

poke it!

scampmum · 04/12/2007 15:56

Thank you!

Oh, you mean the name

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 04/12/2007 15:59

Oh Scorpio you were doing so well until the wotsits I had vegetable tart, salad, pasta, yoghurt (and a doughnut )
Ellie - mmmmmm Chinese, my DH would probably object for the same reasons though

Sheds75 · 04/12/2007 16:02

love food porn , keep dreaming of lovely soft oozzy cheese

scampmum · 04/12/2007 16:06

I found pasteurised soft cheese at the weekend! (we can eat that, right?) Waitrose Epoisses, don't know how much it is as rich friend provided, but goddamn it was delicious.

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 16:06

the deli i went to to get my sarnie today does lush goats cheese red marmalade and rocket sandwiches. i wanted one! they also do red lentil pate and green salad, but im not allowed that either am i!!

scampmum · 04/12/2007 16:12

Am sure you can have lentil pate, think it's just meat pate a) because it tends to have lots of liver (too much Vit A) and b) because it sits around basically unrefrigerated and can pick up bacteria that way.

I was taken out for lunch (my job's not so bad sometimes...) and couldn't eat a single starter (out of about 8!) except the soup, which was essentially a bowl of cream which might have had mushroom and asparagus dipped briefly in it whilst it was stewing. Then lamb burger with chips and bread and butter pudding (well, you have to make the most of it when someone else is paying...).

Spag bol tonight - made double last night. Although I did randomly put a chilli in it and it was a bit too spicy, so maybe I should just add some beans and do oven chips and join Scorpio and Soph!

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 16:13

no, tis veggie pate too

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 16:14

sagitta · 04/12/2007 16:15

Hmm, Soph, glad to see that you are scared of me . But scampmum thinks Queenie's alright ... and she sounds pretty sensible to me. I've gone off it a bit since last time, though, so I think LO's safe. For now.

DH away again all week, so supper may be banana cake and ice cream to cheer myself up. Got to do more painting this week too. Sheds - you def need a pudding to keep your strength up for the move. The problem with scorpio starting the food talk is that she eats really healthily - it makes me feel guilty!

Denny185 · 04/12/2007 16:16

It always takes so long to get through these posts loving the names (except queenie). Ive got a Kiera nd an Ethan hoping to give this one another Celtic based name any Welsh or Irish girls want to give any suggestions. I like Niamh but Dh opposed su to spelling and confusion later on.

Weve been to Trafford centre today and finished the xmas shopping - yeah, just the food to go - boo.

Peachy · 04/12/2007 16:22

Well yu know Denny, have been trying to give away that Celtic names book for ages now LOL- just let me know and I'll post to you (DEFINITELY won't be needing for another!)

Denny185 · 04/12/2007 16:23

Oh forgot to say girls names we need (would have had Declan for a boy)

scampmum · 04/12/2007 16:25

Balls, I don't think I was supposed to eat the pasteurised cheese. Can't believe that about veggie pate! I am such a naughty pregnant person. Forgot to say (on that topic) - I had a glass of champagne on Sat night and felt quite pissed and went really red. Was extremely embarrassed to be resemble a foetus-abusing lush. Think that might mark the end of my pregnancy boozing!

EllieG · 04/12/2007 16:25

Oh I am hungry now!

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 04/12/2007 16:26

Ellie/Scorpio - you do realise our babies are going to be born with finger shaped dents in them where we´ve kept poking them to see whether it´s them moving or food digesting

sagitta · 04/12/2007 16:27

Scampmum, lol - I frequently seem to resemble foetus-bashing lush - well, I don't drink unless there's other people around, then have one glass, and get tipsy. Ridiculous.

EllieG · 04/12/2007 16:27

I've eaten most things you're not supposed to. Everything in moderation I say. Did you see the new guidelines about peanuts? Apparently we're supposed to eat them now, as new reseach published in British medical journal found that since people haven't been while PG allergies have risen, while in countries where they have a peanut-heavy diet peanut allergy is practically non-existent. So there.

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 16:28

oh i don't poke millie anymore she does massive kickc that make me jump!

Scampmum - I haven't drunk at all since i got bfp, im too scared i'll hurt her!

EllieG · 04/12/2007 16:29

I've given up drinking my glass of wine outside the house now as too big! Still have it though on a friday
