in her pants, now

she's all over the front page
(good bum for her age)
how'd it get to this stage?

scampmum · 04/12/2007 11:09

perhaps I should give up and go and do some work!

EllieG · 04/12/2007 11:11

I think I might have to too. My boss just came in and nearly caught me MNing

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 04/12/2007 11:17

Scorpio - yes, but only 1 teenager as there´ll be 5 and a half years between my two Tell you what, we´ll go away together & come back when they hit their 20's (LOL)

EllieG · 04/12/2007 11:36

I think they still ask for money then. I'm not coming back til they're at least 35.

sagitta · 04/12/2007 12:08

Hi everyone. Hope you all had good weekends. Congrats on your scan Soph and all, and welcome to the new girls.

Meeting with boss went well - or rather, she didn't sack me, but does expect me to go to a big work thing in Rome in March...hey ho.

I like Beatrix, by the way - but I would say that as it's DD's middle name. We have thought of a girl's name for LO - but I'm too to mention it here as its very old fashioned and a bit quirky. I may have to get used to it a bit more myself!

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 12:11

come on sagitta.....we wont laugh old names are cool anyway!

Ellie-my sisters are 18 and 21 and still ask for money. i havent had any from my parents since i was 16 and pg [proud] apart from presents, obv. im going to give mine money forever cos they are lush babies

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 04/12/2007 12:13

EllieG - good point!
Sagitta - you can´t say something like that & not tell us what it is Airlines will probably not allow you to board a flight by then even it you do have a Drs note - or are you going by train?

VictorianSqualor · 04/12/2007 12:14

I love bella for a name, I have a friend called Arabella and we all call her Bella, but My DD is Danni-Ella (we call her Ella) and DP's young cousin(same age as DS) is called Isabella, so we can't really have any more 'ella' ending names!!

I also like Rose, we did consider it for quite a while, til my friend pointed out that is would read Stone, Rose in the register and though I love Ian Brown it's a bit too close to Stone Roses for my liking!

We also like Amber but again, with a surname like Stone I liked Cerys and Isla too, but remind me of celebs (I used to love catatonia, she really needs to get her cool back!) Roxy is still my fave for a girl, I might just fuck Eastenders and go with it, it's unlikely anyone will remember her in a few years time, then it's just Sting to compete with!

I really need to get a baby name book, we are almost 100% Blake for a boy, Blake Oliver Stone, but I love Alexander too.

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 12:17

Blake is lovely, dp wouldn't let me have it for a boy.

Roxy in eastenders won't be there as long as that, im sure! Do it!

sagitta · 04/12/2007 12:19

I think I can just about fly then, as I'm not due till end of April. But maybe it'll be by train.

I'll tell you name (dh's choice at the moment, as you can see, I'm a bit unsure) if you promise not to laugh.

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 12:20

Brownies honour i wont laugh

EllieG · 04/12/2007 12:20

I wouldn't think of eastenders - you stick to your guns girl.
Hadn't thought of Arabella for the long version - didn't want Isabelle as don't want Izzy as a shortening, but Arabella is nice. Is it OK to call a child a short form of a name though? I want her to be Bella so is there any point in Arabella? I thought that Bella was a name in itself, but am not sure now. So confusing.

EllieG · 04/12/2007 12:21

Promise promise promise sagitta

VictorianSqualor · 04/12/2007 12:21

Sagitta come one tell us!!
It's probably one we've chosen and vetoed for some reason or another!
I had hundreds of names thrown at DP but he is so annoying just says 'yeah, s'alright' or 'nah, dun like it'
I had Bronwyn, Elizabeth, Alessandra, Kathryn, Megan and he said no to all of them, thats just off the top of my head though, there were loads more!

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 12:22

Bella is a nmae itself, but you could have a longer name for adult/job use? dp only wants to call our girl Taye but i wanted Tayla to be longer.

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 12:22

i love Betty but dp says no. see thats old!

EllieG · 04/12/2007 12:23

Is good point. Arabella is added to short list. With those other names you put on cos I liked 'em.

G'waaaaan sagitta! Don't keep us in suspense.

EllieG · 04/12/2007 12:24

Is it Hepzibah?

scorpio1 · 04/12/2007 12:24

or Gertrude?

VictorianSqualor · 04/12/2007 12:25

Ellie, my Ds is Bobby, not Robert, just Bobby, whereas my DD I wanted to be Ella but XDP wanted her to be Danielle, so we compromised and got Danni-Ella, however now she ahs decided she is just Ella and thats the name they use at school etc, Arabella might be easier to choose middle names for than Bella, choose whatever you want, it's your baby!

OP posts:
EllieG · 04/12/2007 12:26

Well maybe I will stick with Bella then....what a minefield this name choosing is. I might just call it 'Baby' to save hassle.

VictorianSqualor · 04/12/2007 12:30

It really depends on what you want her to be called, and if you want her to have the longer option. I didn't want my Ds to be Robbie for short, it's after my Dad, and everyone called him Bobby, never Robert so rather than just go with Robert and shorten it I chose Bobby, however if I liked the lengthened name (we like Charlotte, but would call her Charlie or Lottie) then I'd use the lengthened name and shorten it as a family name.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 04/12/2007 12:33

Our DS1 is Tom, not Thomas & DS2 will be Sam and not Samuel (or al). Come on Sagitta, spill, the anticipation is tooooo much

sagitta · 04/12/2007 12:33
