We're getting ours tomorrow, and gonna put it all up then. DS'S birthday is 29th december so we end our xmas season on the evening of boxing day, so it gives me plenty of excuse to put it all up the first day of december

DP is moaning about having it so early, but I am sticking my fingers in my ears and going 'la la la I can't hear you Mr Scrooge'. He is just tired and grumpy and being all bah humbug about everything.

V1KK1M · 30/11/2007 18:07

Hi, I just wanted to have a rant. I spent the whole day at an assessment centre applying for a new job when I get back from maternity leave only to be told at 5:30 that I haven't been successful.

I'm not bothered too much about the job but it is just horrible to be told that your not wanted

There loss I suppose

Peachy · 30/11/2007 18:39

DS1's birthday is Monday so we like the hosue decorated and festive early- spent all day today (hence, am shattered and have evry sore feet) doing the PA christmas Fayre so ready to go

Annieroo · 30/11/2007 19:11

Sweetbean & Peachy, am in Abergavenny so that makes three of us in South wales!

EllieG · 30/11/2007 19:24

V1KK1M - sorry hon. Defo their loss, as you are clearly fabulous, and would therefore be completely wasted on them x

EllieG · 30/11/2007 20:25

Have managed to put pics on my profile, so you can judge for yourselves about DP's squirrel-ness

munchkinmum · 30/11/2007 21:21

What a lovely family EllieG!! And cute daughter!!!!

Had my scan today - took DD with us - she was great but a bit overwhelmed!

All is fine - munchkin2 was already sucking thumb (just like their sister!!) and we got some great photos. We didn't want to find out the sex but we could tell the sonographer knew.... the TEMPTATION to find out was unbelievable but we resisted!

I have viral laryngitus at the moment so feel lousy but his is made better by knowing all is well with munchkin2!!

Lots of love to all you mn'ers out there!!

Peachy · 01/12/2007 10:04

Aber? hats v close- once Eva has arrived and settled I think we will have to organise something then if anyone else wants?

Congrats on that scan Ellie

Peachy · 01/12/2007 10:04

Denny185 · 02/12/2007 15:33

Hi natalies1982, I won a Jane powertwin off ebay on Friday it comes with a car seat as well - bonus as had given ours away, in fact sold or got rid of most of our baby stuff. We have lots of lovely friends lending this time round. Think the only other thing to get is a sling but will wait till after xmas now.

Hope all goes well at GOS tomorrow, r u going for test or to pick up results?

natalies1982 · 02/12/2007 16:55

oh how much did u pay?

the silver cross is £300 then the careseat is £90 which we werent gonna get but jon says its a good idea to have one, we alredy have a birth-4 year one which stays in the car.

we go to gosh for tests for matthew to be tested for cystic fibrosis, am dreading the whole day.

Denny185 · 02/12/2007 17:13

I got the whole lot including cosy toes and postage for £260 bargin for what it is but still seems a lot of money. i was looking at some of the side by sides which I could have got cheaper but have a bit of an issue with pavement widths around here so had to be a tandem.

I wish I could say something to reassure you for tomorrow, r they doing just sweat tests and lung function tests or does he have to have bloods or bronchoscopy tom? its a horrible time but your under one of the best places for diagnosis/care/management

natalies1982 · 02/12/2007 19:19

hi denny
he has chest xray 1st then cons app then sweat test.
they asked about a bronchoscope but thats not planned for 2morrow i think depends on the putcome of this tests will decide what further tests he will need doing.

the last 2 months since hes last app hes chest has been horrid but touch wood we have had a good few days.

GOSH r fab been under them for 2 years now and they diagnosed him with his other probs that our local couldnt so have 100% trust in them

cool bargain ive never got into ebay but alot of people say its fab

Bainmarie · 02/12/2007 19:44

Hope all goes well for you tomorrow natalies1982

Denny185 · 02/12/2007 19:55

Nat - I only got into e-bay as I married a 'tight Northern git' and his stingyness is rubbing off on me.

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow hope its not too long a day for you all and that you can get some answers, will they be able to give you any results on the day or will you have to go home and jibber till they come?

gemprincess · 02/12/2007 21:08

Goodluck tomorrow Natalie, be thinking of you.
