Congrats VS Sorry they don´t do anything for me! Sagitta - just no climbing up ladders OK?! DH has managed to move all his appointments so am feeling loads better. Also am full up on chicken & chips so the world is rosey again

sagitta · 29/11/2007 13:27

First coat done! Ellie had a point though about paint fumes. Now feel high as a kite...

sagitta · 29/11/2007 13:29

Found out what colposcopy means. Congrats, VS, that's great news

VictorianSqualor · 29/11/2007 13:31

ha, I had my first smear about 6 montsh before getting pregnant, had to have a colposcopy and then a small op on ym cervix to remove the cells, then I got pregnant and had to go back, was sh*tting myself, but thankfully all is clear.

God Sagitta, you paint fast Just to cheer you ladies up - it´s absolutely peeing it down at the mo & it´s got cold. Although in one sad, twisted way I quite like it as it seems more wintery

Soph73 · 29/11/2007 13:46

In case you´re confused (after having reread my post)! I mean Noel Fielding does nothing for me ... sorry ladies

sagitta · 29/11/2007 13:47

VS - really pleased for you. What a relief.
Soph - Yes, I paint fast, but badly. It looks like shit as I didn't prepare surfaces well enough yesterday, so will have to do another coat or two before DH gets home so he doesn't know how bad it is!
Good news about your DH coming to the appointment. Jealous of Chick and chips lunch. Srum. Just wondering what I can eat for mine, from totally empty fridge.

sagitta · 29/11/2007 13:49

Could just feast on thoughts of Noel Fielding. Sorry you're not impressed, Soph. Maybe the camp glam look isn't for you...

VictorianSqualor · 29/11/2007 13:57

Hhahaha, to be totally honest I dont find Noel Fielding good looking at all, but the more I watch him the more I think he is great, same with russell brand and even DP agrees!

Is it odd that I like Lost man and Noel? Or am I just greedy? Really enjoyed reading the posts this morning!

When is Big Fat Quiz on? Saw Noel for first time on that last year, and he and Russell Brand were hilarious

Soph73 · 29/11/2007 14:16

Have just realised I can show you what DH looks like because he is the spitting image of this guy

Annieroo · 29/11/2007 14:17

hello all

He's lovely

I'd like to ask you all a question - has anyone seen their midwife yet, or is it normal not to see them until your 24th week?
Mine won't even speak to me - i left a message with the midwife centre and called her mobile (which she didn't answer) i can't even make an appointment with her direct. this is my first pregnancy so i haven't really got much of a clue about some things, and was just wondering if this is normal?

ToastAddict · 29/11/2007 14:19

btw, have my scan at 9am tomorrow

Can I have a virtual hand-hold please? DH is so focussed on finding out the flavour, I had to gently remind him last night that it was actually a growth and anomaly scan... not just a "have another look at your baby" scan that the NHS give you for fun!

Sure everything will be fine, but just know I will be a bag of nerves tomorrow. Thank god it is first thing, gives me less time to get wound up......

Soph73 · 29/11/2007 14:21

Toastaddict - of course it isn´t, the more the merrier I say ... but I know I´m greedy

Soph73 · 29/11/2007 14:25

Toastaddict - we´ll have a group handholding because Ellie´s having hers as well if I remember rightly. Annieroo - no it is definitely not normal to wait to see your midwife until the 24th week.

ToastAddict · 29/11/2007 14:35

Annieroo - just to second what Soph said - definitely not normal

EllieG · 29/11/2007 14:37

We can ALL hold hands, in one big virtual circle of positivity.

Am v impressed by sagitta's painting. Bad or not, is very fast - I hate DIY so never do it at any speed. Though my house desparately needs some rooms doing, so may have to break out the old paint brushes.

Have just spent last hour with a million children making xmas decorations. Was nice, as I felt extremely popular but then they gave me a headache.

Hurray VS! What does that mean?

EllieG · 29/11/2007 14:37

Oh yes, annieroo - NOT normal

Annieroo · 29/11/2007 14:38

Toastaddict & Ellie - good luck with your scans - Have got mine on Monday, so far feeling ok about it - but will no doubt be as nervous as the rest of you.

I have finally got through to making an appointment! though not until day after boxing day.

sagitta · 29/11/2007 14:41

mmn, lovely man Soph. (I'm not drooling over your DH, by the way, the first one - but DH lookalike looks lovely too!) My dh looks like a cross between shaggy off scooby doo and Jay Kay.

Good luck with scan toastaddict, and have a fight to see midwife, annieroo. Not normal.

Soph73 · 29/11/2007 14:49

Pregnant women over here have to see their midwives once a month, more if they have to be monitored.

scampmum · 29/11/2007 14:51

my DH looks like Benicio Del Toro according to our secretaries at work - can't see it myself though I did think when we got together that he looked like Brad Pitt! Actually you can all see him - I'll put my favourite pic on my profile... hang on...

scampmum · 29/11/2007 14:53

ps I haven't seen midwife, but only because we moved and stupid new surgery lost my registration form so I had to find a new one and then the time to go and register there - finally did it last night. From memory had seen midwife at least twice by this time last time, though.
