Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

So far I have told My parents, DP's parents, and BF's (they are twins, one of whom is expecting 1st baby in July ) We are slowly trying to get DD use to the idea, she has said as long as she can put it in her 'Rose Petal Cottage' then it's ok

I went to the docs on Monday Very early I know. But the maternity hosp I want to go to gets booked really quickly so wanted to make sure my name was down (else I weren't getting in)

Symptoms are stomach cramps, sore boobies and have today started to feel a bit icky on the tube

sarahnh · 05/12/2007 13:24

thank you Shazza for the very warm welcome.. i have booked to go and see the midwife on the 18th Dec... new docs and apparently you see the midwife!!

I could of gone earlier but i don't want to tempt fate!! I have no idea how far along i am, cos when i got the bfp on cd24, i did the test in the afternoon and it was pretty strong!!!

I just have sore boobies, felt a bit sick yesterday but i had my vitamin in the morning and i obviously hadn't eaten enough!!!

We haven't told anyone yet ( well i have told everyone on mn!!)xxxxx

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 13:30

Well depending on your docs you may get an early scan for dating reasons.

I had a scan at 6 weeks with DD1 as I had bad pains and bleeding. But was to do with me being O-Rhesus negative. Apparently my body was creating anti bodies which were rejecting the baby. Shouldn't be a problem in 1st pregnancy's but was in mine. Anyway after all that babble, would be good if you could get an early scan, there's nothing much more reassuring than seeing a little heartbeat on the screen, even if it does just look like a dot in a peanut!

sarahnh · 05/12/2007 13:42

how far along are you shazza?? i cannot remember what day you were on when you found out, tho i know you found out early?

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 13:53

I think I'm only 5 weeks EDD 08/08/08. I OV on CD18/CD19 and found out 10DPO. Was very faint line EMU on early test off internet. Then did CBD in the afternoon and came up 'pregnant' within about 2 minutes. I did another CBD last Friday and result came up within 20 secs. Doctors have me as EDD 03/08/08 but that is based on 'normal' 28 day cycle OV around CD14.

and breath..... I amaze myself sometimes.

sarahnh · 05/12/2007 14:58

yes girl, breathe!!! well for me i think ovulated cd13, but it could have been as early as cd7!!! thats why i am very confused!!! I have had two cycles of 36 days, so "officially" my AF is not due til next saturday!!!!!!!!!! so hence why i am so anxious!!! xxxx

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 15:19

Well my last cycle (first cycle off pill) was 39 days, and I'm actually on CD39 today. So perhaps I shouldn't have tested until today Same result regardless

So you could be 17DPO or 11DPO. If you did OV on either CD7 or CD13 I would say it would be unlikely you were gonna have another 36 day cycle, else that would make your lutael phase either 29 or 23 days!! Seems very long. I would say if you OV CD13 + 16 (long lutael phase) = CD29. So would say it's likely you were gonna have a shorter cycle this month.

sarahnh · 05/12/2007 16:09

yeah i think i understand, although if got my mummy foggy brain on today!!! Did finding out extra early shock up made u anxious??

I am still very up and down tbh, i have (as you know) been trying for ages and all of a sudden i'm pregnant ( well not all of a sudden) but you know what i mean.. and i just cannot get my head around it!!!

I am very excited tho when i'm not stressing!!! xxx

becaroo · 05/12/2007 17:24

Have decided to contact m/w the week before xmas so I am "on the books" for a dating scan (which should be in 3rd week of Jan).

Am so tired already...what will I be like in 6 months time???

miamla · 05/12/2007 20:51

hello waves i'm new here and new to the whole "i've got someone growing inside me" thing too! yup still freaked but due end july/early Aug.
can i be a part of your gang too please?

oh also, sorry if its been answered elsewhere...but how soon does bump show? i think i'm six weeks at the moment

Bern1e · 05/12/2007 21:04

Mine started almost straight away. By 10 wks could not hide from work anymore.

Thinking · 05/12/2007 21:04

Gosh, two days in a row I have taken my toddler to our bed for a shared nap/cuddle in the afternoon and both days got woken up by DH returning from work in the early evening. Got an appointment at the doctors next week, midwife the week after and aiming to book a mid January scan (they are currently booking early January scans already due to closing over christmas)

I am so tired, I am going back to bed now.

Bern1e · 05/12/2007 21:07

Don't blame you. Everytime I try to get my head down during the day, DS wakes up or phone rings.

Thinking · 05/12/2007 21:08

Unplug the phone

Shazza2002 · 06/12/2007 08:44

Congratulations miamla I've added you on.

sarahn I think it is more of a worry finding out early. I feel a bit of a relief today as would be CD40. AF arrived on CD39 last month, now I know cycles can vary but that was a long one so kind of think the bean should be well and truely stuck by now . I can understand why you would be anxious, but then why shouldn't it be your turn now. You have 1 DD already so you know everything is in working order Although the more people tell you not to worry it just doesn't help does it.

IlanaK · 06/12/2007 13:04

Well I had an episode of bleeding last night. Went to GP this morning. I went for a scan today and it was somewhat inconclusive. They would see the pregnancy sac and the yolk but nothing else. The measurements indicate that I am only 5 weeks pg not 6 (which makes sense by my dates rather than what the pg calculators say) in which case it is too early to see anything. They have made an appointment for me to go back in 1 week's time for another scan. So in the meantime I just have to wait and see. I have not had any more bleeding since the episode last night.

Its all a bit worrying. I did not have any bleeding in previous two pregnancies.

Shazza2002 · 06/12/2007 13:09

Ilanak really sorry to hear that. Although if the bleeding has stopped then surely that's a good thing. Hopefully when you go for your scan next week you will be able to see heartbeat.

Also, if it's any reassurance they do say no 2 pregnancies are the same

sarahnh · 06/12/2007 13:40

Ilanak fingers well and tryly crossed for you... i guess you just have to hold tight and wait and see, but if the bleeding has stopped that is good so i hope it continues..

Welcome foghorn, you name is very familiar, have i seen you in the waiting room or 2ww?? Congratulations on your bfp xxxxx

kaz33 · 06/12/2007 13:48

As we got rid of all our baby related parpenhalia this is going to be an ebay baby, DS1 got the best of the everything and now DC3 is going to be a second hand kid!!

Went swimming this morning which knackered me out but other than that no real symptoms. I do pregnancy quite easily with no nausea - famous last words.

Welcome to all newbies and good luck Ilanak - hope it works out for you.
