Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

i feel very tired but i think its the shock!xx

Thinking · 30/11/2007 19:38

August is always a busy month for pregnancy, apparantly people have more sex during dark days of Autummn, results in millions of Summer babies.

For the list my EDD is 12th August 08 and I already have a 15 month old DD

Thinking · 30/11/2007 19:39

I am shattered and so pleased that it is pregnancy and not lazyness.

I literally have been dragging myself around all week. Now I have a good reason to take it easy (with a toddler ) and get as much sleep as I can.

Sassylou · 30/11/2007 19:58

Oh my goodness, the tiredness is awe inspiring, feels like I've been hit by a mountain!!! I keep putting DD1 (6.5) and DD2 (5) to bed early so I can creep off too. DH is still on a business jaunt to India, back on Thursday, thankfully.

I got my BFP on Saturday and went to the Docs yday, he was surprised I didn't have an AF when I stopped my pill so suggested I might have already been pregnant?!

I then rang the midwife who said the same and suggested I could be anything from four to twelve weeks!!!! They're going to arrange a dating scan for me anyway.

Other than the tiredness and sore boobs no real symptoms although definately feel pregnant.

Shazza2002 · 01/12/2007 07:41

Sorry mavisitcrew, I keep doing stupid things, I don't know what's wrong with me. Oh yes I do, I'm pregnant

Hope I've got everybody now, any newbies feel free to add yourself as I don't seem to be doing a very good job

hope everyone else is keeping ok
joan how's the sickness?

Kaz33 · 01/12/2007 14:47

Think I might be joining you, just found out I'm pregnant and should be due August already got two boys 6 and 4.

IlanaK · 01/12/2007 15:53

Hi all,

I would like to join you please! I did a pg test on Tuesday really to rule out pregnancy and suprise suprise it was postitive!

I have two boys already: one is 6.5 and the other is 3.5. I decided a while back I wanted a third and we had unprotected sex for about 6 months or so with no result. I am heavily overweight and have PCOS so my fertility is always low unless I loose weight.

So we gave up for a while, made some new plans and decided to sell out flat and travel around the world for 6 months. Lunckily we haven't booked the tickets yet! We started sing condoms again and just had one time this last month that we didn't. And bingo! Amazing really as 6 months of no protection did nothing.

Anyway, it is a big shock and has changed all our plans but I am really pleased.

Going by pregnancy calculators, my due date is 28th July. But I no for sure what day we conceived on so I know that date is out by 6 days. So that makes me an August due date. I have yet to go to the doctors so not sure what to tell them. Do I tell the truth about my last period date and end up with an incorrect due date? Or do I adjust accordingly and lie about my period date? The reason it is important to me is I have had 2 sections already so this one will be a section too. Don't want it too early as the baby won't be "cooked"!

Symptoms not bad yet - a little nausea, but I know worse is to come based on last pregnancies. Also has bad SPD last time so am dreading that.

Anyway, thanks for letting me join your thread and sorry for such an epic post!

DutchIndo · 01/12/2007 16:03

I also have a DS 8, DD7, and another DS 14 months. I'm a big horn dog I know.

aquababe Really glad the bleedings stopped. Also really reassuring when you get symptoms even if they aren't very pleasant

My boobs are also very sore but the worse thing at the moment is the tiredness. I shall be retiring to bed very soon

IlanaK They say things happen for a reason, and they do so it's quite common that once people actually 'stop' trying to be pregnant that's when it happens.

Hope you all have a good evening

mummypud · 02/12/2007 07:21

i had a fall last night, tripped in daughters bean bag, didnt hit my tummy but am having a major panic that i may of daamged such a teeny embryo.xx

Kaz33 · 02/12/2007 09:15

My eldest was the due in August 2001 thread, one of the first ante natal groups of mumsnet. Did a calculation and DC3 is due on his birthday

Still can't believe that this is happening, was not intended - was just thinking about getting a job as both kids are now at school.

louismummy · 02/12/2007 14:31

hi guys I'd like to join you i got a bfp this am. I think it gives me a due date of 08.08.08! i has 2ds's 3.4 and 19 months (nearly) so a slightly bigger age gap. still in shock.....
hopefully not too many will say going for a girl!!!!

DutchIndo · 02/12/2007 18:13

I hope your feeling okay mummpud. They say we can exercise so maybe if you think of it as a jumping jack rather then a fall it won't seem so bad.

mummypud · 02/12/2007 18:37

lol,i did feel very silly indeed. xx feeling very sick and tired today so i thik thats a good sign x

JoanWilder · 03/12/2007 11:24

well. was so sick all bloody day went to docs on friday, got a phoning the hospital apt on 10/12, and he gave me clorizine for the sickness, result!
or so I thought. it in fact made me much worse and even drowsier, awful stuff, so have stopped taking it again.
hence am vomiting all the pigging time, twice before breakfast today, then my actual breakfast, so Ive tried again with a piece of toast and jam and that's worked so far...but I cant bear the smell of bread so it is really hard to force myself to make it and then to eat it. I was not this bad with dd, this time Ive got a sick bucket next to the bed as sometimes I wake up about 5am to puke
Think Im borderline hyper-gravardia-whatsitcalled, if I get dehydrated Ill have to go on a drip, apparrently...
Work is very difficult between snacking and puking, work in a jewellers and obviously it is the busiest time of year, great. Didnt want to tell anyone but had to ring my boss today as I am having to tell a few people I work with why I am legging it to the toilet every hour...
nightmare.

maviscrewit · 03/12/2007 11:27

Hi, think I have to say goodbye to you all . Having cramps and bleeding and just did another test which was neg. Its not really a shock as the positive I had was faint and didn't get any stronger so I don't think it was meant to be. Anyway I think its for the best as it wasn't planned. But still feel gutted though, just got my head around it all. I think we may be sensible and try properly next year, when dd1 has started school. Best of luck to everyone .

JoanWilder · 03/12/2007 11:29

so sorry mavis, best of luck for the future x

mummypud · 03/12/2007 11:49

sorry mavis, sending love your wayxx

aquababe · 03/12/2007 12:08

looks highly likely that I too will be leaving you all too. Had some more brown blood yesterday but then fresh red last night and this morning. pains been getting quite bad with a little numbness in the legs(don't know if this is relevant) but can't see babe sticking around with this much bleeding going on.

I wish you all strong, healthy and happy pregnancys and bouncing bundles come August.

Aquababe
xxx

mummypud · 03/12/2007 12:17
