Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

Hello ladies and congratulations!!!

I have had ds2 on October (now on Oct postnatal thread if you need to catch me) and I have a few maternity bras if anyone wants them? They are from M&S in black and white cotton sizes 34D and 36D. Think I have about 6 in total but I will have as good rummage and send whatever I can find. The black ones are as good as new - the white ones are very slightly discoloured as bras get when worn and washed but certainly wearable.

If anyone could use them just CAT me your address and I will happily post them on to you - I don't want anything for them. If no-one is interested I can offer them on my local freecycle but though I would ask here first.

Ok I'll add myself. Bfp on 23rd december but think I may have ovulated late so not sure exactly of due date,will guess 30th august. Congratulations all of you! I have one dd aged 4yrs 10 mths. I have very sore and expanding boobs but thankfully not nausea (yet). i am v tired though and have to work a 12 hour nightshift tonight!! Delivering other people's babies!

Foghorn just read through your thread and know first hand how horribly painful a cyst on an ovary can be. I had one rupture five days after my miscarriage...the cyst hurt more and for longer than the miscarriage. Cyst are amazing common and will pass (maybe with a little blood display). I'll place my bets that that is your problem as I'd never wish an ectopic on anyone. I'm very sorry your uncomfortable. {{{hugs}}} I am surprised though you were not scanned. That seems a bit poor.

hope you dont me crashing in, but i've been on the july thread for a while and then had a scan on friday, which was meant to be at about 14weeks and turns out i'm only 8weeks

so now have a new EDD of 10th Aug.

i've got 2 DS, ds1 is 2 and ds2 is 10mo!

IlanaK - How did you survive day 1 minus DH? All was okay here till around 1pm and then the nausea hit home badly. A friend was over from 2 until now during which time i was sick and had a horrid nosebleed so the cat was out of the bag then...i offered her nothing but a tin of biscuits

I had a cyst on my ovary and had it removed when they did my second laparascopy. I remember how painful it felt as did the endometriosis [shudder]

Baked potatoes in oven and a load of salady stuff in fridge - i have old flip flop taste in mouth and feel awful, poor DH is going to have to do bath and bed routine, cannot face it. Talk tonight x

I managed today but only as dh was let out early from work and got home by 3:30 at which point I collapsed on the bed and didn't move again! He is home tomorow obviously, but then I have three days of doing it all myself. Maybe I can sell my kids to a neighbour

Okay who mentioned slushies? I ran an errand and had to stop and get one. Cherry. Still slurping it now.

Also can't seem to get enough green olives today. I'm trying to ration them because they're so high in sodium. I allow myself one and hour. Oh just thinking about the saltiness makes my mouth water right now.

Ilana - you mentioned Centerparcs. I'm going too in about 10 days and all the brochures arrived today. I REALLY want to go into the Aqua Sana stuff but wonder whether I should ignore the no pregnant women rule (I mean, it's not like they'll be able to tell and bar me at the door!) or whether I should stay out? I went into hot tubs and saunas when pregnant with ds1 and he turned out ok...

Wow, 700+ posts already! Alot has been posted since I last came on, Foghorn hope everything is ok xxx Only 3 days until my scan, dunno how I feel about it because despite a BFP and sickness I am not sure I feel pregnant - I feel really really ill, but... not the same as last time I don't think. MW couldn't find a heartbeat either, but I was max. of 12 weeks last week, so could maybe have been only about 7 weeks but still makes you worry! How is everyones NYE without alchohol? It's sucj early days I dare not even have a glass of bucks fizz!

I am not going to the spa, but not because I am pregnant. I just hate saunas and steam rooms! There is not a no pregnant women rule, they just say that many of their treatments are not suitable for pg women. I think this mostly refers to the paid treatments partly because of the oils they use. I would have no problem using the saunas and steam rooms - just make sure you don't stay in them too long and that you drink plenty of water.

Which one are you going to? We are off to Elvenden Monday to Friday of next week.

Can I join too. Got BFP on xmas day (after not believing the two very faint tests prior to that)
Worked out my edd to be 26th august. Can anyone please remind me how many weeks you need to be to book first midwife appointment.

book asap as they sometimes have a bit of a wait, last time I left it way too late and this time possibly too late but got a late BFP - caused abit of a problem getting a scan as there is a wait for that aswell. Congrats by the way!!! xxx

Thanks. My doctors were quite unhelpful when I booked in first time round. (Sister advised me to say I was further on than I thought to get seen)I just can't remember how far on I was.

Libbysister, I went to a Spa last week. They told me I couldn't have a facial so they gave me a manicure instead (boring!). I had facials on my last pregnancy so not sure what was in those products? Anyway, if you go, enjoy.

Foghorn, sorry to hear your news, hope you are feeling a bit better today!

We had a quiet night last night anyway and rang in the New Year with Jules Holland. I barely stayed awake for it. Woke up this morning then at 4 am and felt awful. The morning sickness is definitely worse this time round for me.

I would stay out of the steam room and sauna - we're not even supposed to have very hot baths are we? At best it's going to make you lightheaded.

Quick note before we all head out for a fry-up (well, some of us will be eating it anyway) to wish everyone a very Happy New Year (including the newbies - welcome!). Thoughts also to those who would love to have been in our gang but are not able to ... May 2008 be a year when dreams come true.

foghorn - how are you doing today?

my dh took me to a spa when i was 7 months pg. it was awful. i had to stop one treatment half way through because i was so uncomfortable.

the best bit was relaxing in their outdoor hot tub. worst bit - a rash from their dressing gown all over my tummy.

imo - spas - a waste of time. expensive and when you're pg you can't take advantage of all the stuff.
