Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

LadyOfWassail · 18/12/2007 22:02

And congratulations Pinguin xxx

Anyone having bad twinges alot? I can't remember how much is normal - it's like bad ovulation pain, not cramps but twangs.

TwilightSurfer · 18/12/2007 22:15

Bacaroo that's the best question in the world!!! I conceived 17 days after I passed the placenta. Two other ladies have approached me since, stating 14 days for both of them....and they have the prize already (both boys)!!! If you're body terminates a pregnancy there's good reason. All happened natural for you so your body will snap back into old form immediately. Here's my suggestion if you want to fall straight away. Start temping. Don't go crazy with it just causally take your temp when you get up in the mornings. This will help you see what your hormones are doing. I didn't believe it till I started doing it...which I started doing it late but that's what clued me in to the fact that I was pregnant again. I'm still doing it now out of comfort because it shows me my body's doing right. You can use an online site like FertilityFriend if you want. I didn't. I just jotted the numbers down on paper...it's easy enough to see a rise or fall in the numbers, no need to search for trends. I did study the chart samples on FertilyFriend so I'd know what I was looking for. My cm acted right on cue. CD15&16 were perfect ewcm days. I didn't feel any midcycle OV pain at all, surprisingly. I only BDed once so don't worry about shagging all the time just pay attention to your body and the temps and you'll hit the mark....PROMISE!! My thought is your body wants to make a baby, it trashed a non-viable one, so it's juices are revved to do BETTER next go round. If you can calm your emotions (putting the situation into perspective), you can take full advantage of the wonderous power you now have. KEEP ME POSTED!!!

TwilightSurfer · 18/12/2007 22:18

LadyofWassail...I've had growing type pain all afternoon. At least I hope it's growing pains. I've tried to take it easy while the remodeling of my uterus is going on. Kinda hard not to worry though but as long as it passes I'll be fine!

TwilightSurfer · 18/12/2007 22:25

Bacaroo here's a thread you should join:
MC Avengers. They're an awesome bunch!!

Shazza2002 · 19/12/2007 09:13

Really sorry becaroo Hopefully you can find the support you need at the moment. As TS says these things happen for a reason, even though it doesn't make it any easier. Hope when you're ready to start TTC again you don't have to wait long for your BFP

becaroodolf · 19/12/2007 09:21

Thanks TS will give it a go....good luck and lots of love to you all.

Merry Christmas xx

becaroodolf · 19/12/2007 09:32

TS....another quick question....

Is the first day of my period classed as the day I started mc/bleeding? Bit confused.

mummypud · 19/12/2007 09:48

huge hugs becaroo, i was thinking of you all day yesterday, i know what its like sitting witing for that scan . xxx love to you both .xx

MollieMooma · 19/12/2007 10:14

Becaroo
Sorry to hear what you suspected was true, but good news on not having to wait, you come across as really positive about it, which is always a good thing.
Hugs and best wishes for christmas and fingers crossed you will be back soon x

mummypud · 19/12/2007 10:37

is anyone else having cramps at 6 weeks? only mine seem to of come back

Shazza2002 · 19/12/2007 10:43

Hi mummypud I'm still having cramps on and off. I'm presuming it's everything still stretching

PennyBenjamin · 19/12/2007 11:24

Morning - yes, I'm having lots of cramps. Pretty scary, especially as my AF would have been due today, but all I read reassures that it is normal. Apparently your uterus starts to fill with fluid immediately the embryo implants, so even though there's only a tiny person in there, the uterus is actually already a lot bigger.

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 19/12/2007 11:35

So sorry to hear Becaroo. Yes I would class the first day of your lmp to be the day you started bleeding. I had a missed mc early in 2006 so it was a bit different as I ended up with an erpc and we were told to wait 3 months before trying again.

Not been very well here as I was really sick and had diarohea (SP?) on saturday night and it seems to have taken me forever to get over. I am very concerned as it doesn't seem to have been a bug because no one else in the family has had it so it must have been something I ate. Just another little thing to worry about. I hope it doesn't affect the lo but you never know!

Had my 40th birthday on Monday but as I felt so rough it seems to have passed in a blur. DP bought me a day at Eden Hall spa which we will now hopefully have to change to a beautiful bump day.

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 19/12/2007 11:48

Also meant to say this is just my xmas name. I am more commonly known as Skytvaddict.

TwilightSurfer · 19/12/2007 12:04

becaroodolf the CD start is a tricky one. I kept detailed notes the whole time and figured out the CD start sorta after the fact. I used the last day I passed placenta pieces (not clots but actual pregnancy parts) as day 1. Since my bleeding turned into spotting the very next day I knew my hormones were self-correcting. PLUS that same day I had a scan confirming my lining was back to normal thickness. The combination of those two things made me "think" that that "might" be the start of my new cycle. EWCM appeared 15 & 16 days later giving me more hope that my cycle was moving long at it's normal pace. Had I been temping I would have had even more to confirm what I "thought". I started temping around CD19...by then I was already pregnant so my temps went up and stayed up instead of dropping off signalling AF. Remember you said a day or so ago that at 4:30 you lost the baby....Instinct is Key so start your count the next day and monitor yourself to see if that's correct. You may tweak the days a little as you move along but you won't be off by much. I tweaked mine by two days using the last day I pasted oregnancy stuff instead of the first day. Monday's scan of the bean confirmed the tweaked count to be absolutely correct.

I hope all this mumbo jumbo helps. I feel your will-power coming through the thread. You've handled this whole situation with poise. I look forward to reading about your next BFP!!

TwilightSurfer · 19/12/2007 12:14

Tummy stretching going on here too. Started yesterday afternoon and honestly had me a bit scared. Feel pretty sure now that it was nothing to worry about. Pains started on left side, sorta pokey like. Then the pulling started slowly progressing across my midsection from left to right but as far up as the ends of my rib cage to as low as the tips of my hip bones. It was never severe just minor and slow. I can jiggle my belly a bit now and there's no longer a distinction between my rib area and my hip area (i've a slender build). I'm only 5+4 today but things do go faster second/third times around.

PoinsettiaBouquets · 19/12/2007 12:20

Skytv, my dh got me spa tickets last time I was slightly pg. I wasn't allowed to do anything except swim and have a facial. Just sat by the pool feeling sick munching M&Ms trying not to cry.
Went for brunch at a greasy spoon with DS this morning, very nice. May have to turn into a monthly treat.

supermam37 · 19/12/2007 12:25

Decided to shelve all chats and plans etc til after xmas, should be wrapping presents but instead am reading all i can on here! Ut-oh! So not the plan! Good luck to all in the same position. x

mummypud · 19/12/2007 12:47

glad its not just me, my pains are sort of liek period/wind pains. there is always something for me to worry aboutxx

poppysocks · 19/12/2007 14:48

With DD I had terrible sharp pains in the very early weeks, usually when I was turning over in bed. It was really scary. Midwife said that it was the muscles stretching and that mine were obviously quite strong. Makes sense as I was pretty fit then. Not so now....no such pain so far this time!

hardygirl · 19/12/2007 15:42

Does anyone else have nothing at all? I was freezing cold and really hungry at the weekend, then a bit bunged up, then really tired. Now I'm just back to normal. Am feeling abnormally normal in fact. Anyone else in the same boat. Can't relax until scan - first week Jan.

PennyBenjamin · 19/12/2007 16:16

Well, apart from being very tired and not having much of an appetite, I feel completely normal today, with no more stomach cramps or nausea.

It's days like today when it's hard to remember it's real - I keep remembering with a shock!
