Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

Bacaroo you could still be pregnant. I realized it's hard to prepare yourself for what might be said during the scan. Just don't think about it. Clear your mind. Know that no matter what happens YOU WILL BE OKAY.

Lewisham you would probably feel better if you took a pregnancy test. Use one of the cheapie kind so you can see the line getter darker and darker. Test two days in a row and compare. Sometimes women just don't "have" symptoms. You might be one of the lucky ones. Often there's a calm before the storm so brace yourself....MS may be only a few days away. I'd hold off on getting a scan for as long as possible. My first one at 4+4 showed nothing BUT I WAS PREGNANT. That might have spooked you so just wait. As you can see by my 5+2 scan there's still really very little to be seen.

My OB/GYN visit was good and fast today. I'm doing well and got a picture to prove my condition. I will go back in 3 weeks on 07Jan for another scan and regular pregnant lady workup (until now I've been treated as suspected pregnancy.) Plans are to tell the family next weekend as they will all be traveling in for the holiday. That scares me. Seems we only just told everyone I was pregnant then I miscarried now I'm telling them I'm pregnant again. Night.

Thinking of you today Becaroo - great advice from TS

Lewisham - easier said than done not to worry, my friend who is 16 weeks pg has not had ANY symptoms .

TS- you have a bean in there!! YAY!

Mentioned to dh that I'd like to book a private scan - he couldn't see the point! I suggested that I may be 14 weeks pg before I get my NHS scan, to which he replied "so?". Typical fella.

Think I may ring gp today to let her know I'm pg and see what she suggests.

PennyBenjamin · 18/12/2007 09:00

Morning all,

All the best today Becaroo. Will be thinking of you.

Is anyone else suffering from insomnia? I'm not sure whether it's just that I've got so much to think about (!) but I'm having lots of trouble sleeping, and waking up very early at the moment.

MollieMooma · 18/12/2007 09:19

Morning everyone,
Becaroo - goodluck for today, my thoughts are with you

RomySchneider · 18/12/2007 09:35

Hello all,
I might be the last one on this thread. Went to the A&E on Saturday with urine tract infection and they tested positive for pregnancy, due date 1st September.
I have one dd (20 months), c-section and will have elective c-sec again due to a massive fibroid. Hence the real date will probably be around the 18th August.
Just wanted to say hi all and will read the whole thread later.
BTW I am 42 and quite thrilled that I conceived so quickly (only tried since November)

Shazza2002 · 18/12/2007 09:40

Hi all.

Haven't posted for a while, mainly cause I haven't had anything interesting to say but have been keeping upto date.

Good luck today becaroo pennybenjamin I thought it was just me who couldn't sleep, I am absolutly exhausted, but once I'm in bed I can't sleep. It's like my bodies dead but my brain won't switch off. Normally I have trouble switching my brain on

PennyBenjamin · 18/12/2007 09:46

Oh good! Glad I'm not going mad! Totally agree about the exaustion, but still can't sleep. Hoping that once I get more used to it, I'll be able to switch off a bit better.

AF would be due today/tomorrow - I know what the test says, but as soon as I get through the next 48 hours I'll feel a bit more comfortable.

Shazza2002 · 18/12/2007 09:52

I was exactly the same with not believing it. I had one cycle off pill which was 39days. Then started TTC November, got my BFP 10dpo so quite early, so wasn't convinced until I'd got past CD39 IYSWIM.

Also very cold, thought it was just the weather, you would think with all this extra work our bodies were doing it would keep us warm.

FoghornLeghorn · 18/12/2007 10:00

Good Luck today Becaroodolf - thinking of you

PennyBenjamin YES INSOMNIA...that's why you see me post at all hours. I typically wake now at 3AM EST!!! ARGGH!!!!

TwilightSurfer · 18/12/2007 10:39

lewisham by six and half weeks do you mean 6+4 or 5+4. At 6+4 you will see the bean and maybe a beating heart. At 5+4 you'll see pretty much the same thing that my picture showed. None the less YOU WILL SEE SOMETHING!

fairylights · 18/12/2007 10:44

hello there..am pondering whether to take a pg test as my af is late - if i am pg its a bit of a miracle as we have been using protection but find i am quite excited at the idea (have a ds who is 13 mo)..so could be joining this thread..or not!
lewisham i had a scan at 6 weeks with my ds and we just saw a little blinking dot which was his heartbeat - my dh still maintains that was his favourite scan! All the best to all of you

lewisham · 18/12/2007 11:24

TS sorry to be ingnorant but as this is my first 6+4 ? or 5+4? i dont know the difference can you explain please. I think that I am due 12th Aug according to my calulations & all the inertnet perg calendars sya I am about 6 weeks + ??

hardygirl · 18/12/2007 11:32

Good luck Becaroo. It's horrible waiting for news. I hope all goes well.

fairylights · 18/12/2007 11:41

lewisham - 6+4 would mean you are 6 weeks + 4 days pregnant. You will see these sort of dates written on all your medical stuff..
i remember wondering what on earth it was and thinking someone had been doing fraction sums on my notes! Hope the scan goes well x

lewisham · 18/12/2007 11:45

than k you Fairylights i would take a test,good luck x

browncat · 18/12/2007 11:52

ooo can i join- did the test at the weekend- have one DS - 18 months. Feel sick as a dog but walking on air. Due date 18th Aug- am sat at work itching to tell people but I want to wait a few weeks. This thread is great- I was wondering where the insomnia had come from!!!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 18/12/2007 12:53

Twilight Surfer, I'm due 13th and am 5+5, will be 6wks+0 Thursday - does that make more sense? Thursday being the day my AF was due. But, you might say this is the 6th week iyswim - like a 6m old baby is in his 1st year.
I went to see The Golden Compass last night with my mum and SIL, bought them all ice cream to cover up my nausea-based gluttony and nibbled from a secret pack of sweets in my pocket. I had 2nd helpings at dinner on Sunday at my mums too, she must think I'm a right pig!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 18/12/2007 12:54

Sorry meant Lewisham, not Twilight Surfer!

TwilightSurfer · 18/12/2007 13:17

Oh yes Lewisham, PB, made the other point that confuses me sometimes. Example: 6+4 is six weeks four days after last AF...this is also called the 7th WEEK or WEEK 7. The 1st week would have been 0+2,0+3 through 1+0 then week 2 would have been 1+1 through 2+0. Pregnancy books confuse the hell out of me sometimes because they flip flop between the two designations. For the most part around here we use week+day as we seem to be a very precise bunch.

Today I am 5+3 (although it took some funny math to get that date because of my mc but my scan yesterday proved it accurate so yippee for me).
