Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

I'm confused about cravings. With my first I just wanted lemony refreshing things because I felt hotter all the time. This time I am freezing all the time - will I crave start craving chilli and curry? If not, can I just pretend and demand them anyway?
And I absolutely craved a McD's breakfast on my lunchbreak today (I start at 7am iyswim) - couldn't say no to 'The Lodger' could I?

TheApprentice · 16/12/2007 20:02

Hi all

Becaroo, hoping its good news for youxx.

I've been feeling v cold but didnt realise this could be a symptom, I feel totally different from my last pregnancy. My boobs are SO sore! Also v emotional and feeling a bit low, its those hormones again.

Great to have so many others to chat to. Take care everyone.

warthog · 16/12/2007 20:41

hey poppysocks - we've got the same due date and my dd is also nearly 22 months! snap!

CaptainCaveman · 16/12/2007 21:19

Welcome to Poppysocks too!

Ditto re sore boobs - actually its my nips - ouchio .

Feeling good, minimal intermittent waves of nausea. Tiredness beyond tiredness.

When I was putting ds to bed (amid 3.7 yr old meltdown due to overtiredness), I asked him if he'd like a brother or a sister (he doesn't know I'm pg yet). He said a brother and a sister - so daddy can cuddle the little girl, and we can cuddle the little boy. Names?
Mr. Robotpants for the boy
Mr. Truck for the girl.
Safe to say we'd be unique with those names!!!

TwilightSurfer · 17/12/2007 00:04

Symptoms today 5+1: Extreme Mid-day Fatigue, Bloated (slight constipation), and Mood Swings

My belly feels so huge hopefully that's just my bloatedness. I'll have a horrible time trying to find clothes tomorrow to wear to DD's Christmas Program at school. She'll be all dolled up in red velvet and I'll be in ..... yoga pants. Surely I have something tentlike in my closet.

Tomorrow at 3pm I have yet another OB/GYN appointment. More bloods and probably another scan. Hopefully we'll find the circle with the dot!! I've officially had more poking and proding in the last two weeks than I've had in my whole life.

Best wishes to everyone this week. The holidays are suppose to be a time of enjoyment but most get lost in the shuffle of "to-do's". Find time for yourself, your loved ones and whatever higher power you believe in.

FoghornLeghorn · 17/12/2007 08:19

Hope you are bearing up OK Becaroodolf - fingers crossed your scan goes well tomorrow
I have been having symptoms that I hadn't realised - I have been sooo hot, last night was unbearable, slept with the windows open and I am usually freezing (MIL pointed this out to me, I hadn't even realised). Although I definitely don't have a bump I have noticed my stomach feeling more bloated.
7+3 today

lewisham · 17/12/2007 08:53

Hello all,
Please can anyone reassure me as have been worrying this weekend. I think i am about 6.5 weeks pg but have had no symptoms in the last week, i havent had ms for a week and my bossoms feel ok a little tender

lewisham · 17/12/2007 09:03

Becaroodlf, i do hope you are bearing up and i send you a hug you must have had a horrid weekend.

pinkrangernowwobbles · 17/12/2007 09:08

Just gate crashing to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! Im from the Aug 07 thread and it exactly one year ago today that i found out i was pg, ds2 is now all wrapped up asleep in his pram, seems like only yestereday i was posting on my Ante thread!!

Happy Christmas

FoghornLeghorn · 17/12/2007 09:43

Aww thanks PinkRanger - I always think the same when there is a Due July thread as I started the Due July 2004 one .

Lewisham - Try not to get too hung up on symptoms - I am feeling very little symptoms compared to my 2 other pregnancies, with DD1 I felt sick and had sore boobs from day dot, eith DD2 I could've slept standing up but I have nothing like that this time. I am also experiencing some one sided pain and a dodgy shoulder which is linked to Ectopic pregnancies, to be honest I am terrified but sort of don't want to know at the minute

MollieMooma · 17/12/2007 11:28

Can anyone else not get warm!! I'm putting layer upon layer on and all it's doing is feeling really heavy on my immensely sore boobs!
Lewisham-I'm sure everythings OK, it seems like everyone differs for each pregnancy.
Becaroodolf - hope your weekend wasn't too long and drawnout, good luck for tomorrow x
TwilightSurfer-thanks for the update it's great to see everyone in a list!
FoghornLeghorn - fingers crossed all's well with you

hardygirl · 17/12/2007 11:37

Do people have early scans booked yet. I'm trying not to get excited (or spill the beans at Christmas) until I've seen the scan - but Christmas is sure to slow things up and I shouldn't imagine I'll get anywhere near a scanner for a few weeks yet. Glad to see so many people joining! Nice to have people to talk to. Is anyone else a bit constipated? Never been a problem before - not a symptom I associate with early pregnancy, but then again, who knows?

MollieMooma · 17/12/2007 11:45

Seeing MW on Thursday for first appointment so hoping I'll have a scan date then.
I'm finding it so hard to keep it a secret, my dh keeps leaking too!
What's the earliest you can have a scan?

TwilightSurfer · 17/12/2007 11:51

{{{Twilight raises her hand with her head hung low.}}} Yes Hardy I'm dealing with slow plumbing too. Plan to ask OB/GYN about it today. Have doubled my water intake and added loads of fresh fruits to my diet in the past 36 hours. Makes me a little crampy but hopefully will get things moving properly. I don't like feeling bloated !!!

Becaroo how are you today??

lewisham · 17/12/2007 12:00

Hardy - I am having a dating early scan on thurs i was told not worth having an early scan before 6 1/2 weeks as wont see much.

TwilightSurfer · 17/12/2007 12:18

lewisham is correct, early scans don't let you see much. My first one was 4+4 and we saw NOTHING. Today is 5+2 and hopefully will see a tiny bit. Sometime this week (which is technically considered week six) the heart chambers close and begin to beat. A very sensitive ultrasound can pick that up. With my last pregnancy my first scan was 8+3 and we saw the baby moving, waving arms and the heart beating. Holding off a week or two really makes a big difference in the amazing things you'll get to see.

PennyBenjamin · 17/12/2007 12:40

Hello - can I join you?

BFP on Saturday - still feeling very strange, all slightly unreal! I'm not sure I believe it yet, as AF wouldn't even be due until Wednesday. According to the due date calculators online, I should be due on 27 August, and this is my first.

Recognise some of you from the TTC threads - hello!

Just wanted to add my best wishes to Becaroo - I can't even imagine what you're going through, and have my fingers crossed for you.

hardygirl · 17/12/2007 12:58

Hate having to pee every hour during the day! Got up 4 times last night as well. Grrr!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 17/12/2007 13:49

MollieMooma, I've been wearing the same ugly-but-chunky cardigan of DH's for 5 days and nights now. I'm probably pretty smelly! Tried to go without it last night but was awake until 1am freezing cold, put it back on and zonked right off LOL.

AlbertaWildRose · 17/12/2007 14:21

Hi everyone,

Can I join you? I have an 18 month old DS, and DC2 is due around the 12th of August (although not exactly sure of the date, since I bf DS up until 16 months and never got a period, so it's a bit of a guess).

I too am constantly freezing cold!!! And I'm really nauseous, which makes preparing meals a nightmare, and it's very difficult to eat at all. And I'm already starting to get a bit of a bump! What a contrast to the first pregnancy, where I have a picture of me at 15 weeks with a very flat stomach. Is anyone else starting to show yet?

poppysocks · 17/12/2007 14:28

Congrats Penny! I tested before my due date too and I feel far more pregnant now than my humble 5+1. Great to know that early though.

Hello Warthog! I'm hoping that the two and a half year gap will be really good. That's the theory anyway.... It'll be good to compare notes with you on this journey! We thought that a 2.5 yr gap would be ideal and my due date is EXACTLY that from DD's. Hoping it's not all too good to be true. And hoping this one doesn't keep me waiting as long as DD did!

I'm freezing too. Could be because it hasn't come above zero yet today, but DD is fine in t-shirt in the house so why am I in 3, yes 3, jumpers?!?!
